This book grabbed me within the first few paragraphs and held tight until the end. The concept of having only a short time left to live is given life in this novella, taking the reader on an erotic and emotional journey as Sam and Alicia attempt to reclaim years of their lives spent apart.
The erotic scenes in this were intense and served two purposes: to entertain and to drive the plot onward. They were well thought out to show the stages of their lives that they could have had if they would have been together from high school on, and they also worked well to establish a connection between them as they moved ever closer to their looming deadline.
The characters were believable, and though I would have liked to get to know them better, I think they were sufficiently developed to give the ending the emotional impact needed for the reader to feel the love that Sam and Alicia shared. I recommend this novella to anyone who is looking for a good erotic romance.

My Review
The concept of this book is great. I love the idea of what would happen with someone you're attracted to when you both know one of you only has five days left to live (especially within an erotica story).
The sex scenes were quite well written and delivered in terms of heat, but I personally, would have liked to get to know the characters a little better. I felt they didn't really speak to each other enough, so you never quite got a sense of their true feelings over the situation. I didn't quite get the unrestrained passion and anxiety that I think could have been more strongly interwoven into this story -- Sam's going to die. Dead.
I thought the characters could have been a little more emotionally involved with each other and with the impending death, especially in light of the ending. More emotional involvement would also have helped the ending seem more real.
On the plus side, this story has a unique concept; the sex scenes are inventive and hot, and the pace of the novella as a whole is really good.
I would still recommend reading it for those reasons.

Five Days is simultaneously sweet and sexy. Not many writers can pull off creating such wildly sexy erotic scenes while keeping the story so emotionally touching. I highly recommend it!
