I speak candidly about radiation sickness in a poignant manner, because of not only the fact concerning myself succumbing to it, but I wanted to create a memorable impact as well as there exist people scattered about this world as these same people are suffering and dying from this copiously sad disease, or affliction, or mans' desires to alter the enviornment as he is now doing more harm than aiding it. ...But as this story that is heart touching as it is revealing, the young victim still maintained a sense of gentleness and patience in the direction of his unprovoked enemies, which were those at the very nuclear power plant, in his eyes, gave him life; a chance at hope for a brighter future in a rural place, but still candidly holding onto the past in which he has grown. Becomming completely ravaged from the terrible effects of the high level of nuclear radiation and from the industrial accident in which he fell prey, this toxic waste worker still manages to keep himself peacefully aware of not only the ultimate consequences of their mistake, or inexcusable blunder that should never be forgotten or done again.

"RADIATION SICKNESS" written by Lama Milkweed Augustine PhD was a good read. I found it interesting about the scenes which graphically testified the dramma when the small group of highly dedicated and trained medical personnel, spoke candidly among themselves about this "sinking ship," as the well versed author described the story's main character known only as "NUKE"
This story certainly has a heart, but the words were not only interesting, but I felt as though I was watching a teleplay, which was something I had not anticipated. This author certainly has a rare gift of grasping the reader in a perplexity of textures that are always cxhanging. I felt for the parents of this young "nuke" worker of the nuclear power plant, the "SEQUOYA" plant in Chattanuga, Tenn. It reminded me much of those past broadcasts on '60 Minutes,' and how the interviews revolved around victims and their families, the fellow employees who worked with him or her, and the legal employees who were lucky enough to favor the victim, and all how she successfully pulled it all together, which was a really interesting way this talented author 'pulled it off." I actually forgot I was only reading a fictional tale, but when I was starkly reminded, at its ending, that it is based on reality, I cried as I realized this very same author, Lama Milkweed L. Augustine, was a victim of "RADIATION SICKNESS" in the past. She did a wonderful job in pulling it off-I was convinced of its realism to no mere way. WOW!!
