Will Bryant Gets Roped In
It’s only for one night—well, a weekend, actually.
Becca Taylor needs a fake fiancé to take to her parents’ anniversary party. All Will has to do is shake hands, smile on cue, and act as if they’re totally in love. No problem.

Aiden Taylor Gets Attacked By The Green-Eyed Monster
It was a total accident. Aiden’s hand slipped.
Okay, it sort of slipped. He wanted to scratch his sister Becca’s eyes out. Her fiancé is freaking perfect, but not for her—for Aiden. And he did try to warn Will, especially since Aiden wasn’t aiming for him in the first place. So now he’ll spend the rest of the weekend trying to make it up to Will.

Then everything snowballs, and now there are plans for a wedding that was never supposed to happen. Becca is panicking, her girlfriend is distraught, Aiden is confused…
And the more time Will spends around Aiden, the more convinced he becomes that he’s (accidentally) engaged to the wrong Taylor.

“You knocked me flat twice. The first time was when you sent a luggage cart flying into me. The second was when you smiled.”

This was disappointing.
With the ‘fake dating the sister, but falling for the brother’ premise, there was so much potential for pining and secret encounters. Instead, it was filled with boring dialogues. I’m not a fan of useless filler dialogues about craft beer, famous books, and other unimportant stuff.

The romance had no sparkle and no feeling. The spice was very rushed and mostly closed doors.

Once they get together, I lost interest and the story was just chapter after chapter of boring family time, very skimmable and skippable.

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.

CW and tropes (spoilers):
- Fake dating (not MCs)
- Holiday/Christmas vibes
- No angst/rom-com
- Closeted MC
- Vers MCs

Save The Drama For Your Mama, or in this case don’t because the mama is the cause of so much unnecessary drama!!!!!

I felt like I didn’t give this book a chance so I picked it back up and finished reading it. I did skim some parts because there was a lot of conversations that dragged on and so much family stuff. I really loved the parts when Aiden and Will were together, most of all of their interactions were sweet. There were a few long winded conversations about topics I didn’t care for, I didn’t get some of their movie and beer talk and it was boring to me, but they were really great together.

Once they realize they’re both gay and into each other the sex was immediate and they threw their recent tests at each other and just went for it. That was jarring and took the sweetness away for me. I wasn’t a fan of how that went. It felt like the author threw in very quick sex scenes and if the book focused more on their relationship only we could’ve gotten emotional scenes that showed more about how they felt for each other. The love part was very quick too and it just all seemed so fast.

The family stuff was crazy though. I felt like this book went off the rails completely and tried to fit a bunch of things into one book when so much of it wasn’t necessary. Why do parents need to push their children to get married so young? Just because they did is no excuse. I also thought the reason Aiden and Becca thought their mom was homophobic was so ridiculous and it made me a bit sick to my stomach. That was a horrible excuse and I hated it.

Will’s family I liked so much more. I just hate unnecessary family drama when communication would solve everything.

This book really made my head spin and not in a good way. The bones of the story, Aiden and Will, is what the book should’ve focused on and cutting out so much other stuff would’ve tightened the story up and made it more enjoyable.

The worst character ever in this book is Becca, Aiden’s sister and Will’s “best friend”. I put that in quotations because she was a horrible friend and I felt so bad for her girlfriend Kristen. Will didn’t even want to spend time with Becca! She was immature and so selfish.

Unfortunately this was not a winner for me. I do hope others enjoy it more though.

I hate not liking an ARC but I cannot continue this. These characters are pretty horrible so far plus the plot is just not good. Why do authors think we want to read about over the top parents? Who just plans a wedding after never even meeting their daughter’s fiancé before?

Aiden and Becca love their parents, their parents are the best but they can’t be honest with them and tell them they’re gay. Both Becca and Aiden. And the fake fiance trope makes no sense in this. Becca is self absorbed and not a good friend at all to Will. I actually really dislike her very much.

If this centered more on Will and Aiden I think I’d really like it.

While I am usually a big fan of the fake relationship trope, I'm not a fan of overly long books that take the scenic route full of irrelevant content before then rushing to get to the HEA!

All honesty, I think that if the fake relationship had just been between Will and Aiden from the get go then I would have enjoyed this so much more. The fake relationship between Becca and Will just went on for far too long and that made the pacing of the book feel off. It just made so much of the book feel like an MF romance rather than an MM and I'm not really interested in that.

I also couldn't understand why it went straight to a fake engagement in the first place, rather than just a fake serious relationship. The drama around the 'wedding' was just stressful and made me not want to keep reading because I hate steamroller characters! I struggled to find the comedy aspect of the rom-com description because the humour felt too try hard and forced for me.

I did like Will and Aiden's characters though, and I liked them together (the build up and when they finally got there), but so much of the book was about Becca and her drama that by the time it got to the relationship between Will and Aiden it was all time jumps and rushing. I just wanted the book to end at that point because it was just skipping from one brief highlight to the next.

For me, the whole part of Becca really needed to be reduced or removed completely, or the book needed to be about Becca and Kristen rather than Will and Aiden. This was essentially two books jammed together, one MM and one FF, and neither couple really got the page time they needed for me to have an emotional connection to their characters or to be fully invested in their relationships.

I was really looking forward to this book but unfortunately was met with nothing but disappointment. There was a lot of unnecessary drama that did nothing for the plot, quite a few unlikable characters that made it hard to stick through and also a lot of just distasteful dialogue. I think this had the ability to be a cute, sweet read but instead hit the mark way too many times for my liking. But, as always, my opinions are my own so if this sounds interesting to you – don’t let this deter you. It just simply was not a win for me.

5 Stars for the story and audio narration.
A fantastic narrated story from Mr Solo as he once again brings life to the characters. Mr Solo’s vocals for Will and Aidan and the rest of the cast are sometimes funny and frustrating as Becca tries to get out of her predicament.

Will, 22 years, was best friends with Becca where he'd do almost everything except play along with a fake engagement, but he does. Becca was hiding in the closet from her parents about who she really was about liking girls. A weekend plan for Becca in a hotel to meet her parents with Will and things get way out of hand…fast .
Aiden was Becca’s sister and both siblings are in the closet.
Aiden was a teacher and was funny with his humorous comments and flirting. His first view of Will made him green but his wild prank goes too far.

Becca’s phase goes beyond that they'd said they would allow, which doesn't make Will happy. Seriously Becca needed to put her foot down about the wedding plans and tell the truth, I kept thinking they both needed to come clean about what was really happening. Her angst feelings are genuine but she didn't want to break her family's hearts telling them she likes girls, one in particular. There’s a twist in this which I didn’t see coming, well not the way I thought it would turn out anyway.

Aiden and Will slowly get to know each other and find common things they share.
This is a great story and narration to jump into. I loved the chemistry between both characters. Becca and Will’s mess eventually gets sorted out and there is a great ending full of surprises.

Picked this up because the blurb was promising. Then I checked out some reviews and several said there was quite a FF story as well as the MM. I don’t read MM to get FF scenes and stories.

~ARC review~

This was a solid rom-com.

I enjoy fake relationships even if this was with a twist. I didn't really get why it needed to be a fake engagement but hey, without it the story would have been short.

I loved the times Will and Aiden spent together getting to know each other and realising how perfect they would be together. Nerdy references were cool.

I really liked the mum, mainly because I got what she was trying to do. Becca's character was the most annoying one for me, I can't understand people who would treat their friend and loved one like this, and not standup for themselves.

End felt a bit rushed, but at then again a lot of romcoms do that. And there was HEA for all!

- best friend's brother
- low angst
- rom-com
- closeted mc

This is a standalone novel, in a nutshell Will has been roped in to act as a fake fiancee to his best friend Becca for one night (so he thinks) in an attempt to put off her more than overbearing mother. There's a wrinkle when he's attracted to Becca's brother Will, and the attraction is mutual.

I have to say that I found Becca more than annoying, I get that she was closeted and her reasons for not wanting to come out were valid, but to carry on the farce of the fake engagement as long as she did, knowing it was hurting both her girlfriend and affecting Will and his life so much, was beyond selfish. I'm rarely annoyed with characters in books, but Becca did it. I'm glad Will stood up to her in the end and stopped it before she made them get married - because I think she would. She needs more people to stand up to her, I think.

I liked Will for the most part, he's intelligent and driven which is why it's beyond me he let Becca get away with the farce for so long. However, I've covered that. Aiden I feel I didn't get to know quite so well but I liked him too, and liked the development of his relationship with Will, even when they thought they could only be friends. They had so much in common and it was a lovely friendship, even before anything else. Aiden and Becca's mother was terrible too, even though she maybe slightly redeemed herself in the end, she was selfish and overbearing for the most part.

This was light, fun for the most part, annoying in places but with a nice HEA at the end. It's a good light read if you're looking for something a little lighter.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

I’ll be honest. This book was painful. I spent the entire first half being furious with the main characters for not having a backbone (to the extent that it was humiliating) and the second half incredibly bored because there was no conflict.

Even a cat couldn’t save this turkey.

Well, this one was a ride! Suspend all disbelief before reading, because it's a fun ride if you're not thinking too hard about it.

When you throw in two siblings lying about their sexuality, a fake fiance who is actually gay, and a plot that spirals wildly out of hand quickly, you get...a weirdly sweet love story?

Yes, all of the shenanigans could have been solved if everyone was just honest with each other. And yes, the reason given for why Aiden and Becca thought they couldn't tell their parents they were queer was pretty ridiculous. But without all of that, Aiden and Will would not have had the time together to fall for each other, which was a pretty sweet story considering they each thought the other was straight for most of the book.

Becca was kind of irritating throughout most of the story, and I did think that some aspects of things (specifically the last 15% or so of the book) progressed a little quickly for my liking, but overall this was a fun ride!

This was hell. I got somewhere near the end by sheer force of... Dunno, a trance, a dark spell? I now dislike basically every character in this absolute disaster of a book, I am so sorry, I hate being this negative but this was a terrible experience and I only have myself to blame and it could have been a rom-com, on a different planet maybe if the plot went all differently. It's like every time the book could have gotten better, it went even worse - mostly I think I was waiting for them to come clean, for someone to end this farce and they just kept putting more nails into the coffin and then the big reveal finally happened and it was terrible, I disliked it strongly which brought me to that I dislike everyone point.

"I devoured 'Taylor-Made for Me' by K.C. Wells in one sitting, and I'm still reeling from the experience. This beautifully crafted story follows a fake dating arrangement between best friends Will and Becca, which takes an unexpected turn when Becca's elder brother, Aiden, is intrigued by Will – and the feelings are reciprocated.

What I loved most about this book is the intelligence, ambition, and supportiveness of the main characters. Will and Aiden are true 'green flag' personalities, and their relationship is built on mutual respect, trust, and a deep emotional connection.

The author's writing is romantic, inspiring, and philosophical, making this story feel both lighthearted and deeply meaningful. The slow-burn romance is expertly paced, and the character growth is authentic and satisfying.

I adored the supporting cast, particularly Becca, who plays a wonderful (irritating) role in bringing Will and Aiden together.

Overall, 'Taylor-Made for Me' is a must-read for anyone looking for a heartwarming, thought-provoking romance. It's a true delight, and I can't recommend it enough!"

1.5 stars from me, simply because when it was just Will and Aiden, it was really good. I liked the getting to know you stuff. But that's it. Anytime the world intruded (I took issue with Aiden and his decisions about their future, which I touched upon in the 91% progress update), or other side characters popped in, it was so unpleasant. I am never a fan of the cliche of parents forcing a partner on their kids and them having to "date" someone else to stop the parent's meddling. I simply cannot comprehend or understand why Becca can't say "no and stop" to her mom and have her mom accept. But I'll pretend to go with it. If Becca had to say something, she could've said boyfriend instead of fiancé. They could've broken up right away and that shouldn't have meant that she had to find a boyfriend right away. She could've been "heartbroken" for a while. And I don't understand why Will also never really put an end to the charade either. His excuse of wanting to spend time with Aiden was not at all logical.

But that doesn't even come close to being the worst thing about this book. That award goes to Louise, Becca and Aiden's mom. Her entire strategy is "I want my kids to come out to me at their own pace" which is wonderful, but also "I will never speak about homosexuality/bisexuality/any other non-straight identity or show them that I am supportive or that I will always love them and that their sexuality does not make a difference to me cause they're still my kids. I'm not a homophobe! Trust me bro!". It was ridiculous and terrible parenting. She spent two years knowing that Becca was in a relationship with a woman and not once did she do anything to make her own daughter feel supported and unconditionally loved. Even worse, she found out her son is attracted to men when he was a TEENAGER!! when she found his mags under the mattress. And she decided to let him navigate that on his own, never even confiding in her husband to make sure he is supportive too, all because of an effing grudge she's held since she was a teenager herself. Really top-notch parenting. Her young son was obviously scared or worried because he never confided in his parents and she never did anything to remedy that. And I'm supposed to what exactly? Think it's ok? Agree with her because she once loved someone who couldn't love her back and her heart was broken? And her husband is totally cool with that too, so matter of fact about her grudge against "anything remotely LGBTQ+". And am I supposed to think her wedding "prank" with Becca is cute or funny? Give me a break. If she'd put half as much effort into making sure her kids weren't afraid to come out to her than she did that "prank" this whole book wouldn't have been necessary. That's honestly the book's worst offence, that Louise is made out to be some sort of hero or at the very least not seen as a villain. And she even has the gall to be hurt that her kids didn't confide in her?! She's a terrible mother. Full stop.

I was intrigued by the concept of Will falling for his fake fiance's brother, but while this story was a lot of fun to read, I also found myself getting frustrated with the actions of some of the main characters. I have full respect for Becca wanting to come out to her family on her own timeline, but I kinda hated how long she let the charade of her upcoming wedding go on, especially after seeing how hard it was on Will and her real girlfriend, Kristen. The other thing that kept confusing me is how convinced Becca and Aiden were that their parents wouldn't accept their sexuality when absolutely nothing about their interactions in this book matched up with that. For me, it would have been helpful to hear an offhand comment or have Becca share a memory that stuck with her or something to show me why that fear had been ingrained in her from childhood. Without that context, I had a hard time understanding Becca's motivation for doing what she was doing, and it left me not liking her character as much as I wanted to. Will and Aiden's bromance was cute and entertaining, and I thought it was hilarious that they were both convinced the other was straight and ignored all the signs of their mutual attraction. I really enjoyed seeing them get closer with every weekend of wedding planning craziness, and when the truth came out it was a no-brainer for them to explore what a romance would look like. Around that same point in the story, Aiden's mom revealed her reasons for saying negative things about the LGBT community and, well, let's just say I was confused and disappointed by her attempted justification. None of what she shared matched up with the mom I'd gotten to know over the rest of the book, and again I was left struggling to wrap my head around it while the rest of the story moved on as if everything was fully resolved. I'm happy that this book didn't end after the holidays and instead explored the challenges of having a long-distance relationship, and I think those months added a lot of depth to Aiden and Will's romance. The last several chapters had a lot of bigger time skips, and I liked the way the narrative focused on the big moments leading up to the summer while still showing the ups and downs as Will and Aiden decided what their future together would look like. All in all, this wasn't my favorite romance, but when I wasn't focusing so much on the inconsistencies with Aiden's family I did find it to be an entertaining and sweet read.

This book was a strong 3.6, rounded up to 4 stars for me.

This was my second book by Wells and I found it as cute and sweet as the other one I read. I really liked the premise of Will playing the fake fiance for his best friend, but soon realizing that he was falling for his best friend's older brother, Aiden. But he's trapped by his own lie, which quickly spins out of control.

First, there was one aspect of the story that really bothered me: Becca forces Will back into the closet. Will is an out and proud gay man in college, but Becca is closeted among family and unwilling to come out to her parents and introduce them to her girlfriend because she believes her mother is homophobic. But their whole ruse forces Will to pose as straight. That bugged me. Becca really wasn't a good person or a good friend. She was just as pushy and overbearing as her mother and quite selfish. The reason she and Aiden believed her to be homophobic was also pretty weak. I felt bad for everyone around Becca (except her parents), but not at all for Becca.

The fake fiance bit ran on a long time before Aiden learns the truth (around 65-70%), so the relationship between Will and Aiden has to be platonic, which made the book move slowly for me. Once Aiden knew the truth, it was like someone slammed the gas pedal and they were all in until Will's insecurities surface. I had expected more of a reaction from Aiden to learning that Will and Becca had been lying that whole time, but he just rolled with it.

Aiden was the best part of this book. He was so sweet and tried to make everyone happy. I felt like Aiden and Will were very well suited to each other and I wish more of the book had been centered on their romance. I was expecting something like, maybe they'd loop Aiden into the ruse earlier and he and Will could have had a secret romance for a bit, but that wasn't the case. Becca forced the lie on everybody and it went too far, I think. The parents are really overbearing, which gets old. They didn't have a good reason for wanting their children to be married asap, and I felt like the family drama was too much of the overall plot.

Bottom line, the story is cute. Will and Aiden are immensely likeable individually and together. The fake engagement and family drama were too drawn out, but the overall story was cute with some pretty humorous scenes in the mix.

Suddenly, its the beginning of August, and I have so many currently-borrowed-ARCs due. Here's to me speed-reading (which, frankly, I'm great at). "Taylor-Made For Me" by K.C. Wells
["Cupid ran out of arrows – so he used a luggage cart…

I LOVE these two!! They’re so chaotic and dramatic and glorious, true definitions of gay disasters.

These two were perfect for each other. Literally. They were suuuuuuch freaking nerds over science, space, beer, books, cats, pizza, and so much more. But they were nerds together. It was adorable as hell.

And when Aiden's parents found out about Will NOT dating Becca? I could have cried (in a good way--spoiler).

Quote of the Day (Will): "'You knocked me flat twice. The first time was when you sent a luggage cart flying into me. The second was when you smiled.'" Like, that's cheesy as HELL, but it's also sooooo freaking cute!!

Also I LOOOOOVED these chapter titles (very Rich Riordan), like Chapter Nineteen: "Will Comes Clean--And Comes Out. Will and Aiden Play Hide The Polish Sausage."

Delightfully Sweet & Entertaining! Amazing Story & Listen🎧

Taylor-Made for Me
By: K.C. Wells
Narrated by: John Solo

This is a fun and wonderfully delightful romantic comedy had me smiling ear to ear, a fake engagement with a side of gone wild with a twist you never see coming. K.C. Wells is one of my favorite authors and it is great to see another side of her brilliant mind as she lightens things up with humor and a whole lot of heart, and the cherry on top is John Solo narrating her story, bringing it all to life, from the pages to your ears. Becca is afraid to come out to her family, so she asks her best friend, Will, to pose as her fiancé when she returns home for a visit, so her meddling mother stops trying to set her up with dates. Will agreed, but neither one knew that her mother would take the reins to get their wedding planned. Making matters worse is her brother, Aiden Taylor, who in Will’s eyes is the perfect guy. Aiden shared that feeling about Will, but Aidne can not fall for his sister’s fiancé or one that is straight. Will was waiting for Becca to come clean with her family, but she kept dragging her feet and complicating matters further is all the time he gets to spend with Aiden. Aiden and Will were great together and for each other, the chemistry between them was smoking hot, despite neither being able to admit it nor act on it. I loved how everything played out in this book, a story with a perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions, and a slow burn, but so worth the wait romance. And like all K.C Wells’ books, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 John Solo knocks this book out of the stratosphere, delivering an outstanding performance with character voices that are fitting and was convincing in every role, including the female roles. He set the perfect tone for the story, handled the charming and witty dialogue effortlessly and with ease, landing the humor without missing a beat. You could hear how much heart he put into his performance as he captures all the characters’ emotions and has you feeling every one. Solo is a versatile voice artist and an entertaining storyteller whose performance elevates this already fabulous story to another level. Thanks for another amazing listen.

Cute but kind of boring

This book was light and fluffy; which is what I was in the mood for when I chose it. However, “light” and “fluffy”/romcoms should only be 200-ish pages, not 365. I can only take so much lightheartedness before it begins to drag on which is why I basically skimmed the last 40% of the book.

Which brings me to another dislike - Aiden and Will didn’t even get together until the last 40% of the book, but by the time I got to that point, I was already over it. More than 60% of this book was about Will’s and Becca’s fake engagement. The fake engagement went on for entirely too long and Becca is seriously one of the most self-centered people I have ever “met”. She put her best friend and her girlfriend in an uncomfortable situation for over a month and didn’t even bat an eye over it. The few stolen moments between Aiden and Will during the fake engagement were platonic with the slightest hint of flirting, but barely.

The banter between all the characters was fun, but long-winded. There were stories upon stories within the book that made the actual (or what was supposed to be the actual) story drag on. The secondary characters had almost just as much screen time as the main characters, which also made the book drag on.

When I read the synopsis, I was like “yess. A forbidden budding romance between a “fiancé” his fake fiancé’s brother with stolen, hidden, salacious moments and maybe a tinge of drama from the fallout of it all.” But no… the “stolen” moments weren’t stolen at all and were so PG they could have been aired on Disney.

The spice level is 1/5. The flirting and back-and-forth banter is what built Will and Aiden’s connection; not the spice.

The writing was good and I (mostly) liked the style- it flowed well. No choppy or run-on sentences. Though I will say this book probably would’ve been told better from dual first-person POV and not third-person, but that’s just my opinion. I’ll likely try another book from the author to see how it fares, but this book just wasn’t it for me.

“All these things are part of being in love, and we’ve all been there—if we’re lucky. But love? That’s what’s left when the feeling of being in love has long gone.”

I liked Taylor-Made for Me, but I didn’t love it. I like the fake relationship trope, but I prefer it when it’s between the MCs, although the concept of Will falling for his fake fiancée’s brother, Aiden, was an interesting twist.

I loved Will and Aiden, their nerdy banter and shared interests. I love nerd characters, and usually only one of the MCs is a nerd. In this book, they both are. Thanks to the fake engagement, they get to know each other and fall in love before they even kiss. Theirs is a slow-burn romance in spite of the insta-attraction.

Becca, on the other hand, was a bit frustrating. I understood her fear of coming out to her family, but the charade took too long. It felt unfair to both Will and her girlfriend Kristen. She was selfish, and I didn’t like how she treated both of them. It felt like there wasn’t enough information on why Becca believed her parents wouldn’t accept her, it would have helped to have more background on this topic.

Despite the frustrations with Becca and Louise, it has a lovely ending. It was also nice to have some real-life issues addressed—like balancing personal desires with career goals—before Will and Aiden can reach their HEA.

Taylor-Made for Me was a good read. Both MCs are well-developed characters and their story is a charming romance. This book is for those who love fake relationships with a twist.

I received an ARC from GGR for free, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Fake relationship is one of my favorite tropes! While I do prefer the MCs to be the ones in the fake relationship, I have read and enjoyed ones like this where one MC is in a fake relationship with a female friend and they end up falling for the friend’s brother (or another male that is close to the female friend). While this wasn’t a terribly long book (or at least it didn’t feel very long), it did take longer than I care for, for Will and Aiden to admit their feelings for one another.

The one plus about it taking them a while (book wise not timeline wise) was that we were able to see them get to know each other as people not as a potential partner. It took about 2/3 (63%) before the truth finally comes out between the MCs.

Now, Becca really irked me. I do understand her reluctance to come out to her parents but when everything snowballed, she’d had SOOOO many chances to come clean and she didn’t. I didn’t like the way she treated Will who is supposed to be her best friend nor did I like the way she shut out her girlfriend, Kristen.

When all the subterfuge was over, we finally got to see Will and Aiden together and it was beautiful. We even got to read several obstacles they had to overcome which I was grateful for. I like when MCs have to work through real issues (Will’s education and Aiden’s work) for their HEA.

I would have rated this book higher but, I thought Becca’s dramas took up more time than they should have and I would have liked more of Will and Aiden after the truth came out.

This book was a disappointment for me. I've read other books by this author that I really enjoyed, so I'm not sure why this one just did not work. I like a good rom-com, but I wasn't persuaded that the setup or the long, long continuation of the premise made sense. I kept wanting to smack Becca.

There were also several rather problematic messages. The one that really stuck out to me was the idea that gender is about having the right "equipment." I'm cis, and I'm sure my understanding of trans issues is very, very limited, but in this day and age, someone writing queer romance should be beyond that kind of reductive thinking. Similarly, !

Given that the book won't be released for a couple of weeks yet, I hope the multiple Britishisms will be edited out (also, the SAT is for applying to college; that should be the GRE). Goodness knows I wouldn't be able to write anything like a pitch-perfect story with British protagonists, but I did keep getting yanked out of the story.

Overall, I can't recommend this book—though others may have different reactions.

My thanks to Gay Romance Reviews for an advance copy of this book.

3 to 3,5stars from me

There were parts in the book that just rubbed me the wrong way. First the 'prank of Becca's mother was just too much. But even more, for me it felt like the MM romance played second fiddle to everything else. And since that was the reason I was reading the book... you understand?

So, let's try this.

- fake relationship
- falling for the brother
- Rom/com

So, like I said, this is a bit harder to rate and review. Overall it was an enjoýable read for me and hit the spot in some parts. But on the other hand it felt as if there was a lot of unnecessary drama.

But I tried to just put that bit aside and didn't take it too serious. So I could still enjoyed the ride.
Perhaps because I really liked Will and Aiden and was rooting for those two.

Becca...I honestly did not like her that much. I mean I can understand why she thought she needed a fake-boyfriend but there were enough times where she should have ended the charade. I found it dragged on too long and her reactions & actions were often too much. It was neither fair to Will nor to Kirsten.

Still, it was an easy read with two likeable MCs and wonderful nerdy banter. I just wished the story would have concentrated more on those two instead of a lot of the time on Becca and the fake relationship.

Independent reviewer for GRR, I was gifted my copy of this book.

Will enters into a charade of being Becca's fiancee, just to shut her mum up. However, things get out of hand, when mum says the wedding has a date set of just 6 weeks away. Will cannot marry Becca, but Becca won't bring a stop to it. Becca's brother, Aiden, is far more Will's type. What on earth can they do??

I absolutely LOVED this! It's a twist on the fake date troupe and I've not read anything quite like this before!

Will and Aiden are perfect for each other; between them, there are lots and LOTS of nerdy/geeky references to things I have no knowledge of, but I didn't feel left out, at all. They are all explained and I could keep up.

Once Aiden is aware of the ruse, he and Will dive right in and I loved that. I loved that Aiden's cat took to Will right from the start.

I loved, I mean LOVE, that the coming out was not the total and utter disater that both Becca and Aiden thought it would be and when we get the WHY mum was like that, you kind of understand so much.

The parental units in this book are all fabulous and wonderful. So funny!

It's steamy, oh yes, but not ever so explicit and I loved that for these two.

A much needed lighter read, that passed a wonderfully chilled Sunday afternoon.

5 full and shiny stars!

FAKE FIANCÉ BEST FRIENDS BROTHER!💕

““I’m going to love you until the stars turn cold.”

I liked the concept of the story with a funny, engaging storyline but I feel the fake fiance storyline was a bit too long…

“what started all of this was a luggage cart.”

Will Bryant was a sweet and generous best friend who would do anything for Becca Taylor even pretend to be her fiancé for a weekend but then he got literally hit with a luggage trolley by her gorgeous brother- Aiden and the rest as they say was history…

I did not much care for Becca as she was portrayed as a selfish, insecure friend who always had an excuse when it came to outing herself to her parents… until Will has had enough…

I loved Adain and his cat Midnight and how they just clicked with Will and how Adain was as big a science nerd as Will/ they were Taylor made for each other..

“There was something about this family that sucked Will right in, made him lose his reason, his perspective… Well, someone in this family.”

The parents were very supportive of all the three families especially the twist in the tale regarding a certain wedding mad mother…

Overall it was sweet and funny, angsty read with steamy moments between the main characters with a beautiful tearful rounding off!

I voluntarily received an ARC from GRR for an honest non biased review.

Taylor Made For Me is an enjoyable romantic com with a dash of fake relationship, though not between the MC's, some family drama with a frustrating best friend, and pining for someone you shouldn't.
Now, I liked reading this story. Will is far too nice of a best friend to agree to play at being her fiancé but things get extremely out of hand once Becca's slightly controlling mother gets involved. Suddenly there is a wedding in four weeks but Will would much rather it be with Becca's brother, Aiden. Aiden's jealousy was hilarious and led to quite the unfortunate mishap but it gave the two men a chance to get to know each other and build a friendship, because that's all they could be as future in-laws. They have great chemistry and I liked the slow burn element. Becca and Aiden's parents also provide the comedy element to the story.
What I found a little difficult to get on with was Becca. There seemed to be little remorse for what she was putting Will, and her girlfriend, through. Will has the patience of a saint but that was where Aiden came in quite well, as a chance for him to escape and they went off to nerd out together over the stars, D&D, and bookshops.
Overall, this is a good story and I loved the relationship that built up over the weekends the two spend with Becca's family.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Loved this cover! #1 reason I was determined to read the story.

However, if I had known the mother, aka future mother-in-law from hell, was going to occupy so much of the story I would have given this a hard pass. Becca, her daughter, is a lesbian and afraid to tell her mother so when her best friend, Will, a gay man, accompanies her home for the holidays, she decides to pretend they are engaged. It will get Mom off her back until she has time to own up to being in love with a woman. Mom takes the news and runs with it, planning a wedding, booking the hotel, the caterer, etc. Who does this? And who lets her mother control her like that? And what best friend is going to put up with this nonsense for weeks on end? For that matter, who wants to read it? Well, I stuck it out. TBH, the rest of the story isn't bad and the author's humor shines through. Plus, K.C. finds a way to bring Will and Becca's brother, Aiden, together and ultimately everyone gets their HEA.

If I had one wish it would be to cut the story by about 100 pages and about 75 of those should be cut from the drama of the back and forth, I will-I won't tell Mom this weekend nonsense that went on too long. And Becca's lover? I would have slammed the door in Becca's face and told her to grow up and not come back. A bit too OTT for any higher than 3 stars.

Taylor-Made for Me is a crazy twisted fun story! Aiden and Will were so cute! Will is gay and basically his best friend Becca just when crazy and in a call she blurts out to her mother that they are engaged!!!! And like a good friend he is he is going to play fake boyfriend to her, Becca is so much trouble not just with him but also with her girlfriend when she found out about it. They are going together to her parent's anniversary party, when they arrive Becca’s brother Aiden is jealous of Becca’s boyfriend because he is hot, after poor Will is send flying because of a luggage cart and Aiden comes to his rescue and to apologize and they immediately clicked.

I love the friendship that develops between Will and Aiden, they really have a special bond and their mutual attraction even if both think they are straight and the other one is going to fake married to his sister. The fake engagement is fun to watch, Becca’s mom makes her squirms because of say weeding. Meanwhile Will and Aiden get to know each other and enjoy doing things together. There’s a lot of things happening that make Aiden to start thinking that something is wrong, until he discover the truth. Finally Will confess everything to Aiden and yesss!!! They were finally able to show their true feelings for each other!!! I love watching them together and planning for them to have a relationship, both are so nerd together!! Later Aiden and Will confront Becca's parents about the supposed wedding plan and it turns out they already knew about Becca’s girlfriend. Will and Aidan have a great chemistry and they share a lot of common interests and are crazy about each other, they try to make their relationship work even if they have to way to be together, I enjoy how things work out for them and I was happy with their HEA!! This was a fun and crazy story!
