A Gritty Thrill Ride...

Russell Williams' "Endgame" is a hard-hitting, fast-paced criminal thriller featuring Detective Rick Malone at his grittiest. The fifth part of the series sets Malone against a crafty con artist who has been preying on unsuspecting victims. Williams creates a taut tale that captures the essence of hard-boiled fiction, complete with cutting dialogue and high-stakes encounters that keep readers on edge.

Despite being part of a series, "Endgame" works well as a solo narrative, appealing to new readers while delighting fans of Malone's prior exploits. Williams is masterful at establishing a visceral sense of urgency, pushing Malone to his limits as he walks the delicate line between justice and retribution. The author's ability to fit a full-fledged plot into a short tale format is outstanding, providing a complete and fulfilling arc without compromising depth or character development. For those who want their crime fiction dark, gritty, and unabashedly brutal, "Endgame" packs a tremendous punch that lasts long after the final page. Highly recommended.

‘Lies and fabrications’ – a flawed investment counselor is Rick Malone’s newest target!

South Florida author Russell Williams’ long standing interest in exploring the ruthless practices of the business world and the dark elements of the human mind, serves him well as he enters the highly competitive arena of crime thrillers with his Rick Malone series, of which ENDGANE is the 5th installment. Russell writes stories that make people laugh and flinch at the same time.

In a short 1 hour read, ENDGAME, character Bob Gordon of Frontier Investments is described as ‘Taking advantage of innocent people, finding their weaknesses and using it against them, was second nature to him. In fact, it really turned him on.’ Enter Detective Rick Malone, and the action to take Gordon down begins – a crime thriller that satisfies on many levels.

Captivating Book!

This narrative is the fifth book of the Endgame series, with Detective Malone and his missions. In my case, this was the first book I’ve read from these series, and honestly, I didn’t feel lost through the reading. I think the author makes a great job describing the characters and Malone’s personality, so you as a reader, think you’ve known him since forever.
It is a very entertaining book that captives the readers' attention from the very beginning because of all the situations and struggles Malone have to go through. I recommend this book to those readers who like action, suspense and amazing stories. I’m looking forward to read the rest of the books!

I am addicted to this kind of stories

Do you want a true Crime plot? You are in the right place. From start to finish, this book kept me completely enraptured and caught up in the story.
Reading the detective story, you meet a hero who all the time is subjected to both internal and external challenges that keep him on the edge of his abilities. But in fact, it has a greater appeal, because it is not the typical hero who has it all easy, on the contrary, the activity as a detective is shown raw and complicated, as it really works in real life.
I already knew the author and this work confirmed what I had already read before, he is an expert in this type of content, because he knows how to handle the narrative and the characters perfectly.

Rick Malone is as tough and street smart as they come, but even he is not prepared for a case that’s about to test him like never before. There’s a conman who’s intent on taking every cent from his victims. Malone’s sense of fair play forces him to become involved. This task is going to prove much more difficult than even the two-fisted, tough-talking Malone is ready for, though.

If you like fast paced action, tough guy dialogue, and sleazy criminals, this is the series for you. Malone is magnetic, and don’t be surprised if you’re unable to put this book down. There’s never any doubt that our hero is going to come out on top, but finding out he does it is a real literary treat.

This book is a hard-boiled punch in this fifth installment of the Rick Malone detective series. Malone, a classic tough-guy hero, is ready to go against a con artist who preys on innocent people. The story is a fast-paced action with solid confrontations, perfect for fans of this genre. One thing that I enjoyed is the fact that despite this being the 5th book, it is readable as a standalone novel too. Overall, this is a satisfying dose of crime fiction with an energetic perspective and quite fun too. The characters are engaging, and Rick is the perfect choice of character for this novel. I wouldn't be surprised if this one turns into a movie or show one day! Solid read.

Rick Malone's stories are characterized by audacity, action, and righteousness. In this novel, the author tries something new, a short story that changes the way of looking at this novel. Russell Williams wrote this short story (50 pages give or take), but keeping the important elements any action thriller must possess.

Overall, it was another great addition to the series. No loose ends and no unnecessary information are lying around; it is a story dedicated to the reader who is looking for an afternoon of fun, with a detective ready to do everything in his power to achieve justice, or at least the closest he can get with his unbreakable mind

Once again, author Williams had me on the edge of my seat all the time with the fifth installment of the Rick Malone crime thriller series. This time, Rick tries to save innocent victims of a scammer, but things get difficult. Doing everything possible to save these people from losing everything, Rick puts all his strength into it. Will he triumph and save them? Or will he also fall with them?
What I like most about this author is that the books can be read individually, without having to follow the order of the series. Without a doubt, it is a great crime and thriller book intended for all readers who love these genres.

Without any doubts, this author always manages to involve me in his writing full of action and intrigue. This book is part of the Rick Malone’s series and even though it can be read alone, I recommend giving the previous installments a chance because they are extremely fascinating.
Something I liked about this story is that it shows an unknown side of Miami as anyone who thinks of this destination imagines beach, fashion and good taste, however, it is also infested by crime and I thought that this contrast was great.
The characters are addictive, well developed and it is very easy to sympathize with their personalities. Their strength and determination definitively inspired me.

Great Story

Endgame is the fifth crime book in which detective Rick Malone once again takes action, this time he will have to clarify the suicide of Peter Prescot. It is a crime book, where crime, mystery and persecution are found in a well defined and clear way making the reading pleasant and easy to follow. It is a book recommended for people who like detective stories, for those who are starting with this type of reading or for those who simply do not know what to read. Endgame is an agile book, fast and easy to read. You feel inside the plot; you feel as the protagonist. It catches you from beginning to end.
