Betrayed by someone I thought I could trust. Disowned by parents who never loved me anyway. Which means I have nowhere to go except to another planet. To my surprise, this new life on Tavikh is almost better than my previous one.
I have great friends and who’d complain about the view? Towering lavender aliens with long, golden-blond hair, muscles for days, and tails that put naughty, wicked thoughts in my head. So what if the village is a little primitive and I’m struggling to find my place?
But then some a-hole aliens from another tribe decide they need women and the next thing I know I’m slung belly-down over some mutant camel-lion-thing. Somebody better rescue me for my sake and for the sake of the dude whose life I’m about to make miserable.
Kyler
At forty cold seasons, I am almost considered an elder of the tribe. Which is why I should not be drawn to one of the human females who lives in our village. She is most likely the mate of one of the younger warriors. Yet my eyes are constantly drawn to the weapon maker’s apprentice with her bari-colored hair, nenuphar-bloom eyes, and curves that make the tips of my fingers tingle with the need to explore.
When she is taken captive by Njeri warriors, I volunteer to join the rescue party. Despite being our tribe’s healer, I will destroy anyone who dares hurt her. Soon, I discover that it is not only her body I must heal, but also her heart.

Should I read in order? I’d say yes. These books flow chronologically and some things are touched on in earlier books but not covered here so you’ll get the best world building and character depth by reading in order.
Basic plot: Kyler finds he can’t help but lead the charge to rescue Zara when she’s taken captive – he’s been drawn to her since she arrived on the planet.
Give this a try if you want: - futuristic time line (Earth has grown into a tier population with major classism issues) - alien setting – planet Tavikh - hero nurses heroine back to health - healer hero and forge working heroine (she makes passable arrowheads - age gap – she’s mid 20s and he’s ‘seen 40 winters’ - fated mates - never been kissed hero - light other man drama - medium steam – 2ish full scenes (in a shorter page count)
Ages: - heroine is 27, hero has lasted 40 cold seasons on their planet, but I can’t recall how that relates to Earth years.
First line: I really fucked up this time.
My thoughts: I stepped away from this series for a bit but I am happy to return to it! And in this novel, I LOVED that you got some background about the heroine, Zara, and how she kind of ended up on the planet and her home life before she left. I wish all the books in the series had that. I think they need it because it can feel a bit random in some of the books wondering about more of their back story. I think it would make a nice prologue to the story.
I liked that more characters were introduced in this one including some aliens that they mains trade with. I liked the opening up of the world a bit in that way. But I would like to have seen more with the prior characters in the series too. Like the characters from Lost Warrior I thought returned but there just hasn’t been much interaction between all the characters of the series. Not that I want a bunch of time away from the mains, but I just would have liked them briefly revisited here and there.
My biggest issue with this series is it just doesn’t feel well planned out. Some books include things that others didn’t (like their fated mate spark wasn’t even mentioned in the first book/prequel novella I don’t believe and then started being more and more of a plot point in further books) and I feel like it’s kind of getting more developed as the series goes along instead of having a solid plan from the beginning. Events that I think should have been mentioned from the beginning are brought up in later books out of nowhere. I also think they can feel a touch repetitive (though I feel like that about quite a few scifi series, like Ice Planet Barbarians too). I just wish more was about the characters having depth and having more detailed interests and character traits than we get. Maybe this series is just a bit more plot lead instead of character lead and that’s a personal thing I prefer.

Full break down on what my ratings above mean here: Overall: How I felt about it everything considered! Readability: How ‘readable’ was the book? Did I fly through it? Did I have to tell myself to pick it back up repeatedly? Were any passages confusing? (I will probably score like (1) is literally unreadable due to formatting/typing errors, etc (2) There were lots of errors that made it difficult to read OR It was extremely confusing and I had to reread passages to make sense of it OR I disliked it so much I had to bribe myself to keep reading (3) I didn’t really want to keep reading and would have preferred to abandon the read and start something else OR some minor continuity issues/confusion (4) I liked it fine, maybe a minor error or 2. I was happy to pick it up when I had time. (5) I never wanted to put this down. I thought about it when I wasn’t reading it. I hid in the bathroom from my kids to read. I threw inappropriate food at my children for dinner so I could read instead.) Feels: Totally subjective to each person but did the book give me any tingles? Any butterflies? Did it rip my heart out (in a good way?) Emotional depth: How well do I feel I know the characters at the end? How much did I feel their emotions throughout the story? Sexual tension: Again, subjective, but how strong was the wanting and longing to me between the characters? A book might have strong sexual tension without a single touch. Romance: Was there romance? Did romantic things happen? This can be actions/words/thoughts of the characters and again is subjective. Sensuality: This is how the intimate scenes are written. Kisses and sexual scenes – how sensual were they? Were they on the mechanical side? Was there emotional pull tied in? Were the details explicit or flowery? These are subjective but generally (1) too short to get a good judgement (2) not all what I'm looking for - very vague or flowery prose (3) either not explicit enough or not enough emotional pull (too mechanical/physically descriptive without the emotions) (4) what I love in a scene (5) absolute perfection - perfect balance of emotional longing and explicit descriptions Sex Scene Length: How long the bedroom scenes are (generally (1) is 1-3 sentences (2) is a few paragraphs to a page-ish (3) is about average, a few pages (4) more well developed scenes, quite a few pages with descriptions (4) the majority of the book takes place in the bedroom. This is always hard to tell for me on audio! Steam Scale: Generally, each flame is a scene. If scenes are super close together I sometimes combine them. If a scene is super short or so vague I don’t know what’s happening, I don’t count it. There’s some levels of grey but generally the number of flames is how many sex scenes there are (I max out at 5 so I’ll put a + after if there’s more than that)
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💙💜💚❤️ Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Chemistry: 🧪🧪🧪🧪 Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌎 Character development: 🤓😋😀😍🥰 Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration Type: Dual Narration
Zara — The Displaced Daughter Nine months ago, Zara’s life on Earth unraveled. After losing her sister Amelia many years ago—the only person she truly connected with—Zara became the target of her parents’ escalating disapproval. Her father’s final rejection severs the last emotional tie to her former life, framing her departure not as rebellion but as exile. The emotional foundation is compelling: Zara isn’t running away; she’s being cast out, which lends poignancy to her arrival on Tavikh. Her lack of skills, once masked by privilege, becomes a vulnerability she’s determined to overcome, adding grit to her decision to apprentice as a blacksmith.
Kyler — The Healer with a Warrior’s Heart Kyler is a nuanced male lead. At “40 seasons,” he’s older and emotionally settled, yet quietly aching for connection. His duality—compassionate healer with latent combat prowess—adds depth to the romantic tension. His initial reluctance to pursue Zara because of his age and profession subtly critiques traditional notions of worthiness in romantic pairings. His attraction isn’t purely physical; it’s tied to Zara’s presence in the village, suggesting a slow-burning emotional build that feels earned rather than fated.
Plot Overview After Zara flees Earth, a Tavikh recruitment ad becomes a portal to reinvention. Her entry into the village and pursuit of a blacksmith apprenticeship reflect themes of autonomy and reclamation. Conflict ignites when Njeri warriors invade, prompting Kyler’s protective instincts and challenging his pacifist role. The rescue mission is emotionally charged, culminating in the appearance of mating marks—a trope that seals their bond while raising stakes around destiny and choice.
Highlights
• 🧠 Emotional Insecurity as Mirror: Kyler believes he’s too old, too gentle. Zara sees herself as chaotic and broken. This mutual vulnerability deepens the chemistry and builds romantic tension rooted in identity rather than just physical attraction. • 🌍 World-Building: The Tavikhi setting is vibrant, with diverse alien cultures and richly rendered landscapes that support the emotional stakes. The integration of village customs and alien lore feels immersive without overwhelming. • 👥 Character Arcs: Both leads exhibit believable growth. Zara’s shift from sheltered dependency to self-directed learner complements Kyler’s transition from resigned loner to emotionally invested protector.
Critique 🎧 Narration Style: While the dual narration offers varied perspectives, the execution falters. Penelope Ann Rose’s voice is soothing and emotive, enhancing Zara’s vulnerability. Chris Chambers, though expressive, struggles with female voicing, which disrupts immersion during key scenes. A duet-style approach might have preserved authenticity by keeping each narrator within their vocal strengths.
Final Thoughts This audiobook explores healing—physical and emotional—through alien romance and personal reinvention. With emotionally resonant characters and layered world-building, it balances action, introspection, and passion. A more refined narration style would elevate it further, but the story itself delivers a satisfying arc of resilience, intimacy, and cosmic possibility.
Zara lives on earth and is the daughter of wealthy parents. She use to have a sister but she died years before. The worse part is that her parents don't even talk about her or remember her. They ignore her and she has rebelled. Now she's being asked to her father's office where he tells her he is kicking her out of the family. She will take only a bag her guardian has packed for her. As she leaves the complex she listens and watches pictures of other planets. That's when she remembers how her and her sister would talk about leaving their home and going somewhere the two can be together and be able to live. Now she's going to live her and her sister's life they wanted. She's off to Tavikh. Kyler has just passed forty cold seasons and watches as others in his tribe take mates. He feels if it hasn't yet it will never happen. He will be alone the rest of his life. He is a healer and he will find contentment in helping his people. As he is preparing to inventory what he will need he hears screams. They are being attacked by the Njeri warriors. He grabs a weapon and goes to fight. As he is helping the injured he discovers from another that Zara has been taken. He volunteers to go with the rescue party. He is drawn to her but knows when she eventually touches another and his marks appear that he will see her mated. But he must help rescue her. Zara fights back and is injured but her scream alerts the rescuers to where she is. Kyler goes with the rescuers and when they hear a scream they locate Zara. He goes ahead and finds her surrounded by the enemy warriors and drops on them. His mind tells him he must protect his mate. When the enemy is dispatched he goes to check Zara out and find what injuries she has. When he accidentally touches her he feels pain and watches as his mating marks appear. She is his mate! When Zara is conscious again she notices Kyler and his mating marks. She remembers he didn't have them two days before. She couldn't be his mate could she? She is the misfit, a hot mess while he is organized. NO way would they be paired. Will she be able to get past the years of mistreatment by her parents to recognize that she is worthy of the healer? Will the healer help her heal her soul enough to accept their bond? A soul stirring story of two people who are so different but so right for each other.

"I am your mate. Of course I will look upon you as though you are the most stunning creature in existence. It is because you are. There is nothing and no one who surpasses your beauty in my eyes."
Every time I read one of these books I think. Ok...these alien males can't get any better. And then Erin comes in and says "bet!" and gives us another absolutely swoon worthy, cinnamon roll, sexy alien. Kyler is amazing. He's understanding, patient, protective, and knows when to apologize. Like he said to Zara, they are the perfect match for each other. He made her realize that she is worthy of love no matter what happened in her past. Plus, you can't go wrong with a hot alien with dimples.
Zara's personality and foul mouth was hilarious to read. She had me cracking up the whole book. And no matter how many times I read it, aliens misunderstanding human idioms will always be funny to me. And we got some good misunderstanding moments in this book. But she's also very independent and is not afraid to tell you exactly what she's thinking. I loved that she confronted Kyler about some things she didn't like and they were able to communicate together and fix it. "Having an open line of communication is important. Even when I'm angry." YES!
As the series continues, it was an amazing experience to read Kyler & Zara’s story! There is action, new characters introduced, love & character growth ! Highly recommend HEA! Love how it tells pieces of the other characters news and who will be next to get a chance at love ! A must read !.

I’ve been waiting what feels like forever for Zara and Kyler’s book. Zara’s backstory was pretty harsh, it’s hard to imagine being so unloved and unwanted by one’s parents, though I know it can and does happen.
Interestingly, as much as Kyler worries about his age, we never really establish just how old he is. They say eight years younger than the youngest elder, but that doesn't mean much when we don't know how old one needs go be before becoming an elder. Zara clearly doesn't care about his age, nor does she notice it apart from the fact he has more white hairs and a few more wrinkles than the rest of the men.
The way these two accepted one another was refreshing, however. They both seemed very "fated" to me. In some ways, more so than the other couples were. I wish we'd learned more about Kyler's brother and parents. Still, this was a good read and I'm super curious about the next book.
I feel like a broken record at this point but yeah, it's repetitive. It seems to be a trend and will probably be in the next book and the next... and the next... *sigh*
Now that aside, Zara confused me. When she was first introduced in the first book, from my point of view it seemed like she was going to be sheltered and standoffish because she was basically a rich princess who wasn't allowed out of the house to do anything for herself and while that is true in a way, her character changed into one who just liked to rebel against her parents and be a complete brat. Don't get me wrong, I understand it but it's weird because it seemed like the author changed her character and background to fit this book. I also found it a bit weird that she was the one who had the most trauma (with the way it appeared as flash backs of her sister or nightmares, etc), but I think Maeve's trauma was a lot worse and yet the author didn't feel the need to show more of that in her book other than her being a bit skittish.
Kyler, well I wanted to like him but he was just a human female cheerleader constantly talking up all the human females and how strong they are, etc... it got old fast. Especially when he started on Remi and how amazing she is and how she's a better fighter than some of their own warriors.. like really? I could understand the human males who were useless twats but the Tavikhi warriors themselves who live and breathe training to fight and defend, etc? Yeah that's a hard pill to swallow but I get it, the author is on team human female and all the men are simps for them that worship the very ground they walk on. It's getting to be pathetic in these alien mate books. The males always talk up the human females and it's bordering on "oh, she can walk on her own two feet! Look at how perfect my mate is for that, she is the bestest in the whole wide world and the strongest and the most beautiful"... well you get the point. Why can't the author show me it through the FMC herself instead of the inner thoughts of her mate praising her but she actually shows none of that?
I also think that these two were a little too different. They have literally nothing in common other than he's a healer that can help her to heal her wounds and maybe her trauma but she doesn't really let him in a lot of the time and pushes him away a lot. All in all they didn't really work well in my opinion and I just always felt bad for Kyler because he deserved someone who appreciated him more, especially given the age difference both mentally and physically. She just wasn't mature enough to compliment him and often acted like childish and well, immature. But nothing irked me more than when Alik (from the Bohnari tribe) showed up and she practically drooled all over herself and check him out shamelessly. Was Kyler not enough for her? She just that horny that any good looking alien would do? And that she gets mad at Kyler (who is hurting because he witnessed her ogling Alik) because he was acting a bit possessive towards her when Alik's hand lingered a little too long in her hand. She even puts him down with a guilt trip, like she's scolding a puppy after he mentions how he saw how she was looking at Alik and she's like yeah so he's good looking, not like I'm going to fuck him. Bitch, you would have if Kyler hadn't been around and you know it but no, make Kyler feel ashamed for seeing what was so clearly visible all over your face. I nearly threw my tablet after that scene because I was pissed. I hate people who emotionally blackmail others, and Zara was clearly manipulating him to make him feel worse. And the author even went further to make him think he was unworthy and all of that. I don't know who I'm mad at more Zara or the author for this. Seriously, women aren't better than men and men aren't better than women so get off your horse and stop treating people like shit, even in a book. Honestly if the roles were reversed and Kyler was the one checking out another girl, he'd have his ass handed to him on a plate and Zara would be livid, but it's ok because she's a woman and we all love empowering women (even though she's clearly wrong here but whatever...). It really did ruin the book for me. After taking a break from it for the night and finishing it off the next day I just didn't care anymore about their story and just suffered through it to finish it.
At the end of it, Zara doesn't deserve or appreciate Kyler, none of the females really do appreciate their mates but that's a whole other problem with these books. I feel bad saying these things because I'm a woman and yeah I should show more support for strong women and women's rights... it's just really hard to do when I read things like this and see the other person's point of view as well and I don't just have on gender blinders. Women (and men) can't just be right because of their gender.
Why am I still reading this series at this point? I guess I just wanted to see the guys find their happy endings, and I mean at one point I did like the girls but now they are all just annoying. Maybe I'll take a break after this one to get this book out of my head.

I once read a little opinion essay about these "mars needs women" types of books, and every since I've been fascinated by them. They are usually, very clearly, written and published quickly (no shade, get your bag and all that) but I feel like they say something about the current state of dating online and otherwise. Their popularity suggests that there a quite a lot of women who have despaired of every finding a person who actually wants and needs them. The central theme is that there is some other group of people who have lost their women (disease, curse, accident, war, whatever) and they miss them terribly. They have, in other words, already lost the chance at partnership and family, and as a result they now clearly and deeply feel what they could have had. This leads to a veneration of women, and a clear society valuation of ANY woman who might be able to bond with them. Now don't get me wrong this does smack of some real tradwife stuff sometimes because it's usually explicitly tied to reproduction and the 'divine feminine' and all that but not always. I find it sad and sort of darkly funny that men (here on earth) have bungled-ABSOLUTELY FUMBLED-the dating culture so badly that people are not even able to successfully fantasize about a human man being all gruff but secretly kind and loving. It's like the audience no longer believes that, the grumpy gruff guy probably really is just a dick, but the alien man from planet whatever... there might still be hope for him.
Anyways, I thought this one was fine, it's nice to just read several nice folks dealing with their insecurities without making it the other person's issue.
I liked how each of these main characters had really normal insecurities to deal with while getting to know each other. He's a healer so he's afraid he's not warrior enough. She doesn't know many skills so she thinks she's useless. She thinks to herself,
“There’s no way the Deeka goddess chick is going to pair up a dude like the healer who has his shit together with the hot mess express that is Zara Black.”
Of course, each thinks the other's concerns are absurd and the author did a good job walking us through those conversations.
I also liked how the MMC is honored each time she shares a story about herself and trusts him. Most guys in RL seem to think they are entitled to a partner’s trust and then get mad when they don't give it. This MMC takes nothing for granted.
I appreciated that this MMC as a doctor wasn't creepy. More than a couple times, I've run into doctor MMCs who are almost cold and impersonal in their dominance, like their understanding of how the body works means they don't have to check for consent as much. Not sure if that is an actual trope but it always leaves me creeped out. This MMC is nothing like that.
The world building is moving along nicely. We got to meet some new aliens from a neighboring planet. I liked how the neighbor aliens are not taking advantage of the Tavikhi just because they have more tech. Their lack of bulliness is really nice.
'It is a foolish hope that lives within me. Why would Deeka choose me as the mate for the beautiful female who I have watched from afar since the moment she arrived in the village?'
I loved this book. I was very quickly hooked and wanted the best for Zara after everything she's been through and the horrible people in her life. A final parting finger to the parents who didn't love or care. I loved Kyler and was sad for his loneliness and his realization that with his growing years, he will probably never have a mate. When Zara is taken, Kyler doesn't hesitate to go with the rescue party to save her. Zara is quite the fighter and a spitfire. Even against all odds, she will fight until her dying breath than be taken advantage of.
I loved how unsure they both were once the mating marks appeared. Kyler didn't think Zara would be interested in someone like him for a mate, and having been controlled and unloved for the majority of her life, she didn't think he'd want someone like her either. I'm glad they were able to talk things through and grow comfortable with each other. These two were really cute together and I found Zara very relatable.
A very fun read and my favorite in this series. 5 stars.
Gleeful Goblin Review: This series is so dang good and I especially connected with this book out of all of them so far because of how our FMC's family of origin is such a source of pain/shame/self loathing that's made connecting with others so difficult for her. It's hard to feel like you're worth connecting with or even being loved by anyone if the people who SHOULD love you just...don't. So it's not surprising when she's confronted with the marks on Kyler that this is her thought process: "The pain is making me delusional and I don’t want everyone to know I’m losing my mind so I’m not going to ask if Kyler has mat¡ng marks. He sure didn’t have them on whatever day these Njeri a$$hole$ took me from the village. They can’t be because of me. There’s no way the Deeka goddess chick is going to pair up a dude like the healer who has his sh¡t together with the hot mess express that is Zara Black."
But here's the thing; Zara is worthy of love hot mess express or not. And she really isn't that hot mess. So seeing the journey from Zara believing herself so unworthy of love and Kyler being in much the same boat where he doubts his worth as well the happy ever after is DEEPLY satisfying to me. Loved my read through and I'm so glad to be able to visit this author's world. 5/5 Stars
I devoured this book in one sitting. It blends sci-fi fantasy and emotional depth with just the right amount of spice and action.
Zara’s story is about finding herself after betrayal and abandonment, and her journey from Earth to Tavikh feels like a cosmic upgrade in all the best ways. She’s fierce, funny, and totally relatable in how she struggles to find her place….even on a new planet.
And Kyler? Oh, Kyler. The older healer with serious golden-elf energy had me swooning. He’s calm, wise, protective, and absolutely wrecked over this human woman who he believes he can’t have. Their age gap, his restraint, her sass—it all builds beautifully into a slow-burn that becomes very worth the wait.
💜 Highlights: * Age gap, alien healer x human warrior-in-progress * Found family + village life dynamics * Protective hero with golden hair and a tail with ideas * Sassy heroine who refuses to be anyone’s damsel * Emotional scars that make their romance even sweeter
If you’re into gentle but lethal alien warriors, determined human heroines, and romances that balance steam with emotional stakes, Fated to the Alien Healer is a feel-good escape. Bonus points for tails used creatively.
I loved this fated mate, alien-human, age gap romance. This book had a wonderful mix of sweet, steamy, good world building, and real life issues. Zara is a human from a rich family. When they disowned her she decided to travel to the planet Tavikh to start a new life. Kyler is the 40 year old healer for his Tavikhian tribe. He has accepted that he will never find his mate though he does desire Zara. When enemies kidnap Zara, Kyler joins the rescue party. Once Zara is rescued and Kyler touches her to treat her injuries, his mating marks are triggered. To get to their HEA there will be baggage unpacking, trust giving, truth telling, and leaps of faith. I have a soft spot for the people who are a bit uncomfortable in their skin because they don’t feel like they fit in or are worthy, like Zara. So I love when they finally see their truth and their worth and they get swoon worthy HEAs. This well written story included engaging dialogue, characters with dimension, good world building, and an interesting storyline. I am really enjoying this series. 4.5 stars.
Kyler is an older male of the tribe and believes that he is past the age of finding a mate. That said he is fascinated by the feisty little human, Zara. So when she is captured by the Njeri he insists that he is included in the rescue team.
Zara has found a home and family and has just settled into a routine when she's kidnapped. When the handsome healer, who is part of the rescue party, develops mating marks for her she cannot believe that she is worthy of it or that he truly wants her.
Kyler is a gentle, sweet male who is completely focused on his mate whilst Zara is a seemingly confident young woman with serious trust and confidence issues as a result of her upbringing.
This is a new to me author and a thoroughly enjoyable story. Whilst it is part way through the series and would benefit from reading from the very start it is easy enough to pick up.

Zara and Kyler. Being the last human female unmated of her group of friends, Zara feelings the loneliness. Her parents were crappy, her sister dead, her boyfriend a total d**chbag. She guard her heart from others after so much betrayal and heartache. Tyler is the healer in the Tavikhi village. He's not a fighter but can fight if necessary. He's older and longed for his fated mate for many years. When the village is attacked and Zara taken captive, he joins the rescue party, something he's never done before. When Zara is finally rescued, she's been beaten and has a broken arm. She feels useless and unworthy until Kyler shows her otherwise with great patience. Wonderful book, great characters, danger, adventure, action, drama, steamy, fated mates, and HEA.

Fated to the Alien Healer book five returns to the planet Tavikh with the story of Zara and Kyler. Kyler is the tribes healer and an older male of fourty seasons who feels drawn to Zara but fears a younger warriors mating marks will appear for her not his. After the tribe is attacked by enemy Njeri warriors and Zara is taken, Kyler is one of the first to join others to get her back. Once saved but wounded, when Kyler touches Zara his mating marks flare! But will she want to be his mate? With lots of action, adventure, danger, love, family, and emotion immersed within a nicely written and engaging read, I’m happy to have joined two perfect characters on yet another wonderfully exciting journey.

This one I got to read where I didn't have the benefit of really liking the main characters like I did for the others. Zara annoyed me and the MMC was kinda meh.
So I ended up just annoyed at the story, and all the regular inconsistencies, and the same super slow burn to boring sex, and man the whole thing where he is minorly jealous and barely acts on it and has to grovel to the extent he does to be forgiven is INSANE so ya anyways, these books were quick and cute and as long as you didn't think about them much they were fine. The characters for the most part were the draw. But there's just a lot of plot holes and lack of thought in the storylines and backstories that made it frustrating for me.
Erin Hales’ Fated to the Alien Healer is another great read from the Warriors of Tavikh series. Zara is fighting the harsh memories of parents who didn’t love her and the sister who committed suicide after a violent rape. After her nasty ex releases a sex tape, she is thrown out of the house. Seeing the offer to move to Tavikh, she travels to the planet and joins several other human women at the alien community to avoid another violent tribe. After an abduction by the bad guys, several tribesmen and healer Kyler rescue her. Immediately his mating marks appear and the attraction is mutual. Read how the two come to love one another. Sweet romance. Love the gentlemanly warriors.
I'm ready to be shipped off Tavikh anytime, just saying. Or maybe I should go live inside Erin's brain, since it seems to be where the good times happen 😂
But seriously, I loved Kyler and Zara, and I wish this book was longer because it felt like I didn't get enough of them. They were really cute together, kinda tiptoeing around one another at first, but then completely giving in to their undeniable connection. Zara was hilarious and Kyler was very swoony.
“ l am your mate. Of course I will look upon you as though you are the most stunning creature in existence. It is because you are. There is nothing and no one who surpasses your beauty in my eyes.”
I mean, what?! Where can I get one of these please? 😅
I am simply begging Erin to stop making me fall in love with every single alien introduced to this series!!!!!
We are book 5 in the warriors of Tavikh and I am once again in love with a man that does not exist. A short and sweet example of opposites attracting that I really really adored! With the way the last book ended and this one began I was a little worried but it turned out great in my humble opinion. I'm really enjoying the way that these characters seem to have more human problems with their relationships than most alien romances! They are real and genuine and it makes these books that much better
Fated to the Alien Healer is book 5 in Erin’s Warriors of Tavikh series. It is a sci-fi fated mates romance with a HEA. Each new story in this series just gets better and better and is exactly what you’re looking for in an alien romance. You are pulled into an immersive story of past pain, new challenges, suspense, and, of course, a lovely romance. Both Zara and Kyler and likeable characters whose story I was looking forward to. Once again, the world building was so creative. I cannot recommend this series enough!
I'm a huge fan of this series and Fated to the alien healer didn't disapoint. Perhaps the sweetest story of the series. Zara struggles with the rejection of her parents and the memory of her much loved sister that was raped and commited suicide. Kyler the healer longs for her but thinks himself to old. Until the evil Njeri attack and kidnap Zara... A heart pounding story with good world building and development of characters, even touching sensitive themes doesn't really have triggers, and the magic touch of Erin Hale makes this series unputdownable!
Where his goddess leads, he will follow. Kyler, the tribe's healer, is a male who thinks he's getting up there in age and may never find a mate. Then he meets Zara and while he doesn't jump to make himself known to the human, he is drawn to her nonetheless. When another tribe captured and kidnapped her, he jumps on the chance to go after her. Zara is weeping violet. She's a fighter that perhaps doesn't know when to stop and bide her time. Thank goodness she has her sister's spirit to guide her. This was a quick and enjoyable read.
Another wonderful romance from Erin Hale, this time a sweet and mature age gap story. I thoroughly enjoyed all the aspects of it. We get to know more about the community as each book has a layer of world building and we see the sweet and stoic healer get his fated mate. The couple are very mature about their shortcomings and the inner monologues offer us a welcome insight into these processes. Sprinkled with a healthy dose of spice and a dash of action, this little gem is pure enjoyment.

What happens when a human female from a very dysfunctional family with a tragic past tries to start over on an alien planet? She finds love and acceptance and maybe even healing with a seasoned alien healer whose always there for her! I loved it. He was so patient and understand while being sexy and possessive at the same time, I knew she had a backstory but my heart hurt when she finally told him her big secret. Kudos to him for knowing exactly what she needed.
They are a race who can determine if someone is their fated mate with just a touch, so why Kyler watched Zara for 5 months without approaching her doesn’t make any sense. He says he figured she was fated to one of the younger warriors, but he still could have managed to brush past her just to check. It’s silly. At least when she gets taken he realizes he might have missed his chance and goes after her. Also, it’s a weird mix of barbarian and technology with a bunch of little tidbits “borrowed” from other alien novels.
Fated to the Alien Healer is the fifth story in the Warriors of Tavikh. Fated to the Alien Healer was quite an entertaining and enjoyable alien romance story. I couldn’t get enough of the characters story. I thought the characters were quite charming, intriguing, entertaining and an absolute joy to watch their story unfold. Author Erin Hale writes fantastic alien romance stories that are an absolute pleasure to read. A definite recommend book for anyone.

I love the explaining of English idioms to aliens; I can just imagine how crazy we sound. It makes second language translations even more entertaining, especially when swearing. Zara and Kyler complement each other well. His patience and faith help her heal and know her worth. The sisterhood makes the series special I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I'm glad the final girl finally got with a guy but I felt like the story was lacking. The rescue happened very quickly and I felt like them getting to know each other felt rushed. The FMC spilled her secrets very quickly when it took some of the FMCs in the other books way more time. I did love the MMC though and thought he was a big sweetheart. I am very excited to see the next book because the original group has finally gotten their HEA.
I knew I'd love Kyler's story and he didn't disappoint, it's my favorite one so far and I also feel like the writing style is progressing with each book. I also like learning more about Eloise, I'd like more bonding between her and the others, as she was kind of instantly integrated as part of the group. Another series with the Bohnari people next, they also seem lovely and interesting.
