Life for English teacher Samantha Sheffield seems pretty much perfect – the perfect job, the perfect home and the perfect fiancé. But that is all about to change.
With a wedding to plan and a school inspection looming, the last thing Samantha needs is to find that her very own Mr Perfect has secrets. A lot of secrets. And then there’s the small matter of her dangerously handsome but married head teacher who keeps popping into her classroom… and her thoughts.
Will Samantha discover who her fiancé really is before it’s too late? And will she succumb to temptation elsewhere? Either way, it’s time for Samantha to be taught a lesson in perfection.
You hear the term perfect couple, but it's a rare relationship that is truly perfect. The couple in Ms Adams debut novel may have seemed that way on the onset but we get in behind the scenes as that relationship unravels and true personalities and secrets come to light - all the while serving up that quirky and sometimes madcap UK sense of humor. This was fun read with surprise ending.
By the end of the prologue I was hooked. Well written with likeable characters and easy to read. Humour throughout whilst keeping you guessing what the lie is. Hope there’s a follow up to see what’s next for Samantha.
I wasn’t sure at the start of the book that this was going to keep my attention however as I got in a few chapters I began to suspect that the main characters where living a lie and I was soon hooked and needed to keep reading to see what happened . It was real life with flirting and mixed emotions ending up in massive revelations and a feeling of relief .
Well done on your first book please write some more can’t wait to read them . P.s love Sam’s teaching style x
What a brilliantly funny and entertaining read! I’m not a teacher but that didn’t matter at all, as the characters are so relatable and the storyline kept me hooked. I absolutely loved it and couldn’t put it down. Thoroughly recommended.
