Some scars run too deep to heal. Some women are worth the fight.
Pike Walters has built a life from ashes—President of the Cobra MC, respected, feared, and completely alone. His past is a nightmare he's learned to live with, his brother's death a wound that never healed. The last thing he needs is murder charges threatening to send him back to the cage he barely escaped.
Enter Natasha designer heels, sharp mind, and zero tolerance for his attitude. The Bratva lawyer storms into his interrogation like she owns the place, and Pike immediately realizes two things—she's going to save his life, and she's going to ruin him in the best possible way.
But someone is leaving bodies in Pike's town, all linked to the abuse he and his brother suffered as children. When evidence indicates his brother might still be alive, Pike must decide whether to protect Natasha from his dark past or finally face the truth that could free them both.
Thrills, chills, motorcycles, and mafia. Get ready for crime-solving, childhood trauma recovery, and a love that refuses to quit in this dark romance.
this was good but i remember liking the earlier books in the series more. this felt weirdly fast paced to me. still going to read the next one at some point bc Eli intrigues me
i don’t even really know how to describe the tropes in this… he’s an MC president and she’s a lawyer for the bratva (connected through her cousin) who is representing him when he gets framed for murder. they’re attracted to each other immediately and he basically makes a move the first time they’re alone in a room together and that’s that, together from like 5% to the end. no third act breakup!
What if that past you left behind shows up changing your future? What if the loss you suffered was never a loss? Lots of twists and turns. Definitely recommend this book.
