Will Beckett: Father, son, husband, brother, Army veteran, Special Ops genius, and friend. As well as, funny, laid back, loving, trustworthy, easygoing, gentle, caring, playful, and intuitive.
Widower.
One event changed Will’s entire being, his entire reality, and threw him onto a path that he had no idea how to maneuver. He became cold, angry, lost, hopeless, vengeful, and spiraled into a place so unrecognizable that he no longer knew himself anymore.
Ava Laine: Daughter, artist, friend, kind, beautiful, clever, sweet, reserved, cautious, creative, and always daydreaming of a magical world vividly brought to life in her mind.
Obsession.
One man, one chance encounter, one moment of violence, and Ava’s entire life was no longer her own. She was then controlled, contained, abused, scared, helpless, hopeless, and molded into a madman’s version of perfection.
Both of them were linked by a common enemy, a powerful threat, a helpless situation, and ultimately fate. Leaving them scrambling to piece their lives together, to understand a new reality, and to move on from the pain and torment that would forever alter their paths.
Paths that would cross for the first time and then splinter again.
Two people healing, overcoming, searching, wondering, fighting, growing, hesitant, and unsure of what the future will hold for them. One leaning on his family and learning to love himself again, while the other facing the unknown and intimidating world alone.
Their paths lead them toward one another again, in a much better and stronger way than before, but the journey won’t be any easier than it was before.
If I could live in a fictional world, it would be this one. Another book that had me laughing out loud, crying, yelling at my computer screen/kindle, and mentally fist-bumping come of the characters.
"He sounded dark and mysterious, calm like nothing bothered him until it did." (referencing Elio) "Speak your truth."

And they all lived happily ever after….or did they? The stories never really say what happens after the villain is finally defeated…
For Will Beckett, his brothers, and Ava Andino, the answers are all different. For some, it’s healing and growth, finding light and a way forward where before there was only darkness and all-consuming pain. For others, it’s the celebration of new life, new love, and new commitments, forgetting the scars of the past and embracing the possibilities of the future. And for the rest, it’s figuring out their place in a world that isn’t supposed to know they even exist, learning to navigate the complexities of a life never before known.
To understand where they are now, it’s important to understand where these characters came from, and a heartbreaking look into the past offers those perspectives. To see the joy and innocence that once encapsulated both Will and Ava, to the horrifying and devastating events that connected them in the darkest way, these two characters embody everything the word strength can convey. This is the beginning of their journey, not only towards each other and with some help from some familiar faces, but to a place of healing neither thought possible.
For fans of this series, this book offers the rewards we’ve been waiting 6(!) books to see and also offers some closure on past pain. Will and Ava allow us to explore through their pasts to see the path ahead, not only for them, but the whole family of Becektts that we’ve come to know and love. If you’ve enjoyed this story so far, with all of its ups and downs and twists along the way, then you’re sure to love this next adventure with all eyes are pointed toward the future as they find out what happens after the story ends…

Here we go, we have made it to my babies. I love them and we have just made it to their book. Again, I can't picture My Baby Will as what the Pinterest boards suggest but this time my brain has did slightly better than casting poor Aiden with Ryan Dunn forever. My brain insists Mason is Paul Walker and now I am showing my age. Anyway. My brain decided pretty early on that Will is Dylan O'Brien but specifically Dylan O'Brien as Paris in Caddo Lake. Your boy has issues. Again, my brain makes its own decisions about who looks like who and I am just along for the ride.
At this point we are 30 books in and it has been about 25 books since I started dying to know the story of My Baby Will and Miss Ava. I could not do back story. I tried but I could not. I have had enough back story, I need the front story now. This is not a negative about the book, this is a negative of my brain. I have ADD. I think Aiden is Ryan Dunn. I have my own issues here. Maybe I will go back and read the back story now that I have finished part two and am currently dying as I wait for part three, but I had to skim through it because GOOD GOD THEY HAVE TO BE TOGETHER. I NEED IT.
Words cannot describe how beautifully our beloved Lyn has captured the slow burn of this love. Ava may be bringing My Baby Will back to life but dammit, they might be bringing me back to life as well. What is that odd sensation in my chest? Is that.... emotion? Could it be? It is, I am obsessed.

If you’ve been following the series, this book takes you back to the beginning but from a new perspective. We return to the characters we’ve grown to love and see some key scenes from Ava and Will’s eyes and minds. But we also flash forward two years from Rhett and see how the characters are doing after the climax of that book. Ava’s history is heartbreaking and traumatic and though we already know a good bit of her history, seeing it play out absolutely breaks you. Her resilience to try to move forward is breathtaking after all the horrors she’s seen and experienced. Will’s growth is just as sweet. We get to see the love he share with his first love in Laurie and his absolute distraction over her loss. “Will” is a beautiful set up almost as a prequel for what’s to come in the second book. I can’t wait to see these two characters finally come together after all they’ve been through.

As with all of her books in this series, she weaves a world that is so vivid that I feel like I’m really there, inside their minds and lives, living it right along with them.
The suspense and build up, resolution of certain events, and hints of what’s to come. There were times I was on the edge of my seat, laughing out loud, or trying not to cry as I read.
I’ve become so invested in these characters and this story, and it’s all because of a well written series by an amazing author
D Lynnette captures all of your attention with this series of a real problem in this country that is rarely talked about. The characters though fictional feel real. The emotions this story evokes are gripping and some times hard to read. Hard to put this book down until finished. I highly recommend this Beckett Brothers series.
As I stated in my BIO... I just absolutely love this series. Looking forward to the last book, but I don't want it to end. This series starts with "Aiden" and can be found in Kindle Unlimited. I highly recommend!!! I have to say it is one of my top 5 series EVER READ!
Learning the complete back stories for both Ava and Will was fun, eye opening and heart wrenching. To see where it all started and watch this new beginning for them is a great read that made me laugh, cry, get mad, then laugh again. Can’t wait to read more of this couple!!
D Lynette does it again! This book marks the series shift from working to defeat the villain, to picking up the pieces the villain left behind. Will and Ava’s growth from series start until now is so heartwarming and it’s wonderful to see them find a friend in the most unlikely of places. I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2!
