Dr. Scarlett Norton, Dr. Ainsley Forbes, and Dr. Faith Conrad share more than a profession — they all have a complicated past with one man. Carson was Scarlett’s older brother, Ainsley’s ex-husband, and Faith’s deepest regret.
Carson’s untimely death brings the three women together for his funeral. While they’ve had their differences in the past, their grief and pain is only something each other can understand.
A few glasses of wine after the reception leads to the trio discovering their connection runs far deeper than just as kindred spirits. After a long, emotionally draining day, there’s nothing more they need than a little relief in each other. Working overtime has never felt so good.
I was into the premise but the writing was a little too all over the place for me. They switched positions every two seconds and different POV’s were describing things that other characters were doing as if it was them when they wouldn’t be able to see or know those things. With all the spelling mistakes on top of that I realised I was spending more time making sense of what was happening than enjoying the story.
