Lisa Renee Jones's "Wicked Submission" was exactly the experience I was hoping for from a "Scandalous Billionaires" novel: passionate, exciting, emotional and full of twists and turns. As with all the books in the series, this one can be read as a standalone, but for the dedicated fans, the reappearance of familiar characters will be a special treat. I've been looking forward to Gabe's story since "Dirty Lawyer" and reading "Dirty Enemy" only made me more excited to finally get to know Reid Maxwell's brother. Lisa Renee Jones has once again proven herself to be a master of character building and deep portrayal of emotion.
Gabe and Abbie's meeting was unexpected – they had their first passionate kiss in a pub, but before anything else could happen, Abbie left abruptly. The next day, she turned up at the Maxwell office to ask Reid for legal help, unaware that the mysterious, handsome stranger from the night before was none other than Reid's brother Gabe. From there, the story becomes a thrilling and emotional journey of two strong-willed people trying to resist their attraction to each other – of course, without success.
Abigail Tanner is an attorney herself, used to fighting her battles alone. But now she needs help because she cannot defend herself in the trial against Jean Claude. Gabe and Reid's father used to manage Jean Claude's investments, and at one point Reid helped him. Although Reid has nothing to do with Jean Claude since their father was ousted from the firm, he knows her well enough to help her fight her ex-husband.
Gabe's character has captivated me in the previous books – easy-going, witty and confident - but in this story we finally get to see the man beneath the surface. Behind the charming smiles and laid-back style is a man with deep scars and a hard time trusting anyone. Abbie is no exception, as they both put up walls around their hearts to protect themselves. As we move forward in the story, these walls slowly come down, and the relationship between the two becomes not only passionate, but also deepens emotionally.
As we've come to expect from Lisa Renee Jones, there is a lot of suspense and mystery as well as romance. At the heart of the story is not only Gabe and Abbie's relationship, but also their ability to overcome the demons of the past together and confront a man who knows no boundaries. Of course, the Walker Security team is back in this one too, and as always, they add to the thrill of the story.
"Wicked Submission" combines two previously published novels, "His Demand" and "Her Submission", to give us a complete, well-rounded story of Gabe and Abbie's relationship.
Overall, "Wicked Submission" is a captivating romance novel in which the emotions are as strong as the danger that threatens the characters. Once again, Lisa Renee Jones has created a book that captivates and doesn't let go until the very last pages. A must-read for fans of the series, but also a perfect choice for those who are new to the author's work.

Gabe Maxwell is at his brother Reid’s apartment. Reid and Carrie just got married and they merged her family’s company with theirs. Gabe has a glass of whiskey and then leaves. He ends up at the restaurant/sports bar next to their office building. Gabe is 37 and has sworn to never fall in love after he was betrayed in his past. He sees a beautiful redhead sitting in a booth. He is normally not into redheads, but he follows her when she goes to the restroom. He finds out her name is Abigail and he kisses her. Then, she turns and leaves. He is confused by the fact that he can’t stop thinking about her and it was only a kiss.
Abigail Tanner is a lawyer but can’t represent herself in a case against Jean Claude Laurette. Gabe and Reid’s father used to manage Jean Claude’s investments and at one point, Reid helped. Reid has had nothing to do with Jean Claude since they forced their father out of the company. Abigail goes to the firm to find Reid. She is told that he is on his honeymoon, so she leaves. Gabe catches a glimpse of her but again, she disappears. Gabe finds Abigail and she tells him why she wanted to talk to Reid. Abigail was married for five years to Kenneth, who is a billionaire. She found out he cheated on her the whole time. They have been divorced for a year. In the divorce, Abigail didn’t want his money. She did accept the property that holds her mother’s animal shelter. Her mother is a veterinarian and runs a no kill shelter. Now, for some reason, Kenneth wants the property back.
Abigail is hiding things from Gabe about her past. Gabe has not told her about the woman that hurt him so badly. He has not wanted a relationship until now. They need to clear the air so they can fight Kenneth and Jean Claude together.
I was happy that Gabe got his own story. I loved seeing Reid, Carrie, Cat and Reese working with Gabe and Abigail. I’m sad that this is the last book of the series.

Wow! I never cease to be blown away by the creative output of Lisa Renee Jones. When it comes to romantic suspense, it just doesn't get any better than one of her books. Wicked Submission is no exception. Intrigue and anticipation are heightened as a tale of deception and betrayal is woven around two remarkable characters. I am usually pretty good at figuring out "who done it" but this one kept me guessing. The fact that Reid, Carrie, Reese, Cat and Blake Walker play prominently into this story is a real bonus. This definitely a MUST read.
Mystery and secrets seem to be the common thread between Gabe Maxwell and Abbie Tanner. Thrown into a complicated situation, that includes a contract murder, blackmail, threats and intimidation they need to trust each other. The walls they've both erected are not easily torn down. All Gabe knows is that Abbie has turned him upside down from the moment he first saw her. Abbie knows she should walk away from Gabe but can't seem to make herself do it. Their growing feelings for one another yet they refuse to label them. In order for them to be an "us" there has to be honesty between them. If Abbie hears the complete truth about Gabe's darkness, he fears that she will leave. Abbie is not a quitter and her steadfast assurances relieve Gabe of his guilt once the truth is revealed.

Absolutely love this author's writing. She seems to be more prolific than so many others, and when you find an author you love it is so nice to get her stories so often. This is a great romantic suspense series but each book can be a stand-alone. It does help to read all the books in order because they are all interwoven and the characters interact with each book at some point. We have seen Blake and Cat in their own book along with other previous characters. (Reese, Reid, Carrie, and Dexter(in this book). I have only read and reviewed about 16 of her books so far and I look forward to reading ALL of her books in the future. I am pretty choosy about what I read which is why so many of my reviews are 4 or 5 stars. Gabe meets Abbie in a bar when she just goes up to him kisses him and then disappears. These two are working together to solve Abbie's problem. Abbie's mom has an animal shelter and Gabe offers to help her when problems arise. There are secrets, drama, suspense, and let us not forget so much spicy chemistry. There are 8 books in this one series and every one of them was 5 stars in my estimation. Great read!

The magnetic pull between Gabe and Abbie is hypnotic and not just for them but for the reader too.
Gabe and Abbie are two hurt, broken people with a past where trust is a big issue. Can they save each other or will they shatter into smaller pieces, no longer capable of ever coming together? You’ll have to turn the page and find out! You won't be disappointed!
Tomorrow is never guaranteed. Everything we love can be taken away from us in a blink of an eye. So when you find that kind of love, grab onto it with both hands and never let go.

A great story as Gabe Maxwell (a new woman every night kind of guy) meets this beautiful redheaded woman at a bar and he can't seem to get her out of his mind. I love Abbie she's down on her luck, her ex-husband is causing trouble, he's a pyscho and he's not a man to take lightly and she needs a hard-hitting Maxwell lawyer on her side. I love how the author brings the characters to life, and intertwined Gabe and Abbie's lives and brings back characters from previous book like Reid Maxwell his brother and his sister, Cat and Resse, her higher-powered lawyer husband. I've enjoyed reading about the Maxwell family and both Gabe and Reid are hard core lawyer with a dark side. Gabe he tries to keep hidden from the public and Abbie. A captivating story I love how they each want to protect each other from danger, to do the right thing and follow the clues to get answers they need. Allow plenty of time for this book as it is the two books of Addie and Gabe's story . Abbie's ex husband is pressuring her to sell the only thing she got from their divorce and he is playing dirty. Abbie walks up to a complete stranger in a bar and kisses him, then leaves. The next day she goes to visit Reid Maxwell for help dealing with her ex and walks into the man she had kissed. Gabe was interested in Addie when he first saw her and this is the first woman he has been interested in after his girlfriend cheating on him. But Addie has major trouble following her. Can Gabe protect her?
I loved this book. We meet some of the characters from the previous books in the series but the main story is our two people with dark things in their past.

Wow, LRJ has done it again. Gabe and Abbie are thrown into a world of drama and intrigue that has them guessing what's next.
While Abbie is trying to live without her ex, Gabe has found that his life is consumed by Abbie and all that she is becoming to him. The ex-husband wants to control her, and Gabe wants to protect her.
This story has so much going on that you don't know what will happen next.
I loved that this story brought Reid, Carrie, Reese, Cat, and Blake Walker from other stories in this series. And you have to love Dexter, the dog Gabe fell in love with at the shelter.
I highly recommend this story and series to anyone looking for a great story line that can be read as a standalone. I also recommend author Lisa Renee Jones, all that I have read from her is worth reading.

Gabe and Abigail are first connected through a kiss one that will turn their worlds upside down. She was in a bad place in her life, and she wanted something to anchor her. Her ex is causing havoc for her and all she wanted was to protect herself and mother. Enter Gabe a lawyer with the connections but is also a wealthy man someone she only wanted his expertise to take her case, but things have a way of getting out of hand because Gabe wants Abigail. Will they both get what they want and will it lead them along the path to happiness. This story had me connecting with these two and cheering them on.

I loved Gabe’s story. I love this authors writing. She always has a way of sucking me into the story and I don’t want to put it down. These characters, Gabe and Abbie, have great chemistry. I love this twist and turns and mystery of this book. I never know what is going to happen or what else will unravel. Loved this book. I love this couple, they have me routing for them all they to the end. They both have a past that is keeping my them from truly trusting one another. Along with the drama of a murder investigation that they are both suspects adds to their troubles. This book had me hooked from start to finish, it was a perfect ending.

Wicked Submission is a fantastic read. I loved this one. This of course is Gabe's story. He's sat back and watched his siblings fall and he was fine with doing what he was doing. Until Abbie. Abbie needs help and quick to save her mother's shelter. I love the banter and the chemistry between Gabe and Abbie as the navigate who and the real reason everything is happening. I loved the soft and protective side of Gabe when he falls. Abbie you get why she is more hesitant. Fabe and Abbie make so much sense and are perfect. I could not put this down. I have enjoyed every one of the books in this series and am sorry there are no more siblings. While each book is about a different sibling and complete in itself, there is an interaction between the. The characters are well defined, the most malevolent is the father but now this has been resolved. The shelter and Dexter were a lovely addition and the plot was intriguing, especially Gabe’s secret. A great story.

Once again, wow! Lisa Renee Jones knows how to keep us on our toes guessing what’s going to happen next. I never seen what was coming in this book. I love that I couldn’t figure out the secrets and suspense. This is Gabe and Abbie’s story. I adore everything about their budding relationship. Gabe’s protectiveness, Abbie’s hesitancy, and the spicy chemistry between the two. This story will have you neglecting chores or staying up way too late. This whole series is fabulous!

Abbie is having issues with her ex and she goes to Reid Maxwell for help. But she finds Gabe the man she kissed the previous day. Gabe hasn't been looking for anyone since his last bad relationship but something in him is called to Abbie. Enjoyed this book and all in this series!

Abby and Gabriel's story captivated me from their first kiss to the way they met after that kiss, and the passion, mystery, secrets, and unexpected twists. Although this book can be read as a standalone in the series I recommend you start at book one and work your way through the series and meet each couple and their journey of love. Great writing and intriguing character make this a great addition to the Scandalous Billionaires series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This is the story of Abigail and Gabe. I DNF this one at page 310. I might try to go back and finish but I just became bored. It seemed like the author just kept going over and over and over the same things again.

October 4, 2024I read Gabe and Abbie’s story back when it was published as a duet. His Demand and Her submission. I fell in love with the couple then and still in love with them. They both have pasts and when a kiss brings them together. It’s all sparks! How these two help heal one another and fight to be together. We have all the characters from previous books too. I love that! Another great read by LRJ.

This is the eighth book in the Scandalous Billionaires series. Gabe and Abby’s story begins when she takes him by surprise with a kiss! It’s a great story. I loved their banter and awesome chemistry. The plot was entertaining and well written. A fantastic read.

This book was really good. There was deep family drama, steamy hot chemistry, suspense, and passion. And a storyline that keeps you invested the whole time. This is a definite must-read.
