This book annoyed me so much, and not because of the riddles. It was because of the typos and grammatical errors. So many typos (even online where the QR codes take you). The thing that annoyed me the most was the misuse of pronouns. It was like the book was written as the main character was a girl and then was changed to a boy sometime while writing it but multiple pronouns were missed-even in the same sentence! (Like “He thought to herself…”) The riddles themselves were hit and miss. Some I enjoyed while others I did not understand one bit, even while peeking at the solutions. Also, the storyline was a little lackluster. David goes on this journey because he gets a postcard from his dad saying he is in danger, yet there is absolutely no danger in the story.
