Shy, naïve Nagi Kitagawa has now been dating his next-door neighbor, the popular yet kind Yu Yamasaki, for over half a year. Though their relationship started by Nagi helping a drunk Yu return home, then sleeping next to him in his bed, they now take things at their own pace, allowing the connection between them to blossom little by little as they spend their everyday lives together. While dating in general is new to Nagi, Yu is overwhelmed by his first feelings of true love. Both boys attend an arts university in Tokyo, although Yu will be graduating soon. Will their love be able to stand the test of time once they no longer go to the same school?
This is just a feel good, fluffy and wholesome little BL story. Nothing too deep but reading this just makes you want to find the same love that is so passionate yet so gentle as Nagi and Yu have for each other. I just loved how looking at their relationship calms me. This is what I loved about short, wholesome BL. No space for dragging the plot and adding unnecessary angst. Very great palate cleanser.
Volume 2 really enhances the story. I really appreciate the way this author tackles the slice of life genre. Every moment feels meaningful yet somehow so mundane at the same time. All without feeling boring. Just love a feel-good college bl with zero drama, and this one got no smut btw (as of vol.1) but it's still worth a read❤️ I absolutely adore it, cute and wholesome! The story is also simple but not to the point that it's boring. Absolutely not boring! The art is also so gorgeous. I'll be rereading this as many times as I want to cause I can't get enough! 😭❤️
i read this while listening to 彗星 by 白鲨jaws which happened to be a chinese emo ballad and who knew this would lead to be tearing up on public transport on the way to work?? this was so good; i actually forgot how good the first volume was and how much it hit me.
i'm chronically but (mostly) happy single but man Yu and Nagi made me wish i had someone loke that because literally, me and who?? yes toxic yaoi couples are spicy and angsty but healthy couples who communicate and are actually good for each other?? sign me up for twenty more volumes of this!!
something about the domesticity of them living together, while also having their own lives and friends outside just got me. Tsumugi and everyone are such nice supporters and their dynamic is always so fun to read. okay but them living together (and yes exploring intimacy but that isn't the whole entire point) and knowing sides of each other only they know. just this.
them going on a trip with their club and Yu meeting Nagi's parents TT everyone loves them together and they love each other together, everyone wins.
okay the last part where it got a little angsty with Yu being busy and theor lease renewal coming up was nice to read too. not Yu literally getting them matching RINGS when they move in together. brb i'm gonna cry now.
I must've been in a sappy mood when I read the first volume; it was cute on a reread, but not as glowingly amazing as I'd remembered. I do still enjoy the sweetness of the story, but honestly with this second volume being so chunky, it got a little more tiring to read when absolutely nothing was happening like...90% of the time.
The whole thing's just a lot of domestic bliss. Which is cute, but it was basically the same flat-line tone the entire way through, which meant I ended up taking more reading breaks because it just wasn't holding my interest as much.
I was also pretty disappointed that we didn't actually get to see Nagi meeting Yu's family. Just a mention that they did and that they liked Nagi. But I...was looking forward to that. We did get to meet Nagi's family, who all look exactly like him. I wonder if he will take over their family inn, or if his youngest brother will?
There was a tiny hint of drama with Nagi's childhood best friend, who shows up in Tokyo as well, but that got smoothed over super quickly, with Yu showing a little bit of jealousy that created no actual drama. There was also a bit of "who will break first?" with Nagi and Yu trying to decide when to talk to each other about whether to renew their individual leases or move in together.
Mostly though, this really is a bunch of small stories about the two of them forming a life together. It's sweet...a little bland...but a nice thing to keep on hand for when I need that sort of gentle love story.
I do like their friends a lot, especially Yu's. He's got some good buddies, and it was nice to have everything be so easy in regards to their relationship, with everyone wholeheartedly supporting them.
Short stories of fluff that are just so dang cute. I love them. I am smiling and and feeling so happy that these two are just so adorable with one another. Magi is just adorable. I ate this volume up.
Very sweet, slice of life kind of bl. Definitely would be a good series to try if you want to get into bl. No drama, no love triangles and no full on sex scenes every chapter (as much as I enjoy those, it’s nice to have a break LOL).
Segona part molt cuqui Love on the Horizon Vol. 1.
Volume 2 of Love on the Horizon takes the sweetness of the first book and dives headfirst into intimacy. Where the beginning of their story was all blushes and tenderness, this one isn’t afraid to explore physical love, and honestly, I was cheering when they finally did it.
The romance is still incredibly cute. Everyone is gorgeous, the moments between them glow with affection, and the balance between emotional vulnerability and spice feels just right. It’s heartwarming, it’s sexy, and it made me want to cry because it’s over.
A beautiful continuation that proves wholesome love and explicit intimacy can coexist in the most satisfying way.
This felt like I was reading the bible of BL wholesomeness (its over 350 pages, it includes side stories and digital bonuses not in the original 2nd vol of the Japanese manga, which is cool for us 😚☺️). Very soft and sweet. The development of their relationship is slow, but it works. I could use another volume lol
This is very slice of life, low stakes, and kind of a study on subtlety. If you want 1000% domestic cuteness this is it
The second volume is fine but not as good as the first, mainly because it is a bigger book to read and not using all those extra pages for something entertaining. The conflicts are quite boring with most of the first half of the book focusing on the same thing just in different formats. Overall, if you like the first one I’d recommend reading it just to have closure on this series but not much else.
It took me a while to finish this second volume because, unfortunately, I found it a little boring. It was cute and not toxic, which was refreshing and pleasant. However, it was too slow going. The whole issue of them officially moving in together and being afraid to ask was not enough of a plotline to hold my attention. I think the first volume was better, and this being the concluding sequel was a bit of a letdown. 2.95/5
A super sweet story for a super sweet couple. There’s a smidge of angst thrown in but it’s nothing too serious and it doesn’t persist for too long. The sex scenes were soft (Yu crying in that first one was too cute) and didn’t take up a huge chunk of pages either, which is a complaint I have on occasion. I love that our couple has such supportive and lovely friends and families too.

Cute sequel to the first. Nagi is a bit dense. It was cute though that they were both thinking of wanting to move in together but not sure how to talk to one another about it. The short chapters at the end about Nagi’s first day and meeting Yu was cute. And their trip for Yu’s graduation was cute too.

Literally one of the cutest comics I have read in such a long time. So often BL is full of drama about keeping their orientation secret, the expectations of family, and the rush to get to the more sexy parts of the relationship. This comic is more about the tiny, everyday ways that you come to love a person.
it was very sweet and fluffy. so if you're looking for something that's just pure fluff and sweetness, this is it. which I enjoy to some extent.
but I will say there's not too much else. the plot if just a bunch of little cute instances really. but it's feel good so I enjoyed it. just wish there was more
Just a wholesome little BL duet. I was a little disappointed it ended here, but I'm glad they had a happy for now.
I honestly went through this volume unsure who was who, but that's a me thing lol.
Recap: Considering asking to move in together, first time sleeping together, meeting each other's families, finals, moving in together, ring gift, end.
The excitement I felt when I saw how many pages this one had cannot be understated... Just adore these two so cute, so wholesome. Love to see how their relationship evolves as they grow into adults. One of my new fave BLs <3
This was so sweet and wholesome. I liked the first book more because I prefer to watch the build up of the relationship, but it was nice seeing them grow closer as a couple and hit some milestones. This is just a really soft, no real conflict, wholesome BL.
This was 300+ pages of fluff and I am here for it. I loved seeing the progression of their relationship and all the cute extras we got in this volume. This might be my favorite neighbors to lovers story.
It's sweet, but there was no reason for this to be as long as it was. Nothing really happens, and it's a continuous cycle of Nagi and Yu being adorable and in love and side characters commenting on how they're adorable and in love. I get that it's slice of life, but it just seemed to drag.
These books don’t necessarily go into much depth or detail about the backstories of these two main characters, but the fact that it more or less hones in on our two leads gives it a tender and intimate quality. Wonderfully done and beautiful art.
This book is a great second part but it just feels like an add on the to first book. We don't really see any growth in the character but little pieces of their lives. I do love the artwork because it is very detailed. I also think the characters are genuine and adorable.
super sweet but hardly the best BL i’ve read…missing some je ne sais quoi and they go through their milestones so fast. wish it was spicier also but i understand that wasn’t the author’s intent…still enjoyed it tho (:
I feel sad that it's over, but I really loved all the fluff in this volume. Even though I thought the characters fell in love too quickly in the first volume, I was hoping to see some angst in volume two. I will be looking forward to their next series whenever that will be.
