Agnes and Claude have been preparing for their wedding since returning from the Kingdom of Oreille, when they receive troubling news about the Hole in the Wall growing bigger while they were away. Agnes learns this hole is where monsters come from and has been maintained by the Oreillian and Visage royal families for generations. Having learned of the ancient duty of the dragon-blooded Visage Royals, Agnes begins to wonder about her own role as a descendant of Oreillian royalty and what she can do to help. Gathering her courage, Agnes and Claude head to seal the problematic Hole in the Wall before their long-awaited wedding. Overcoming hardships with the power of mushrooms is a staple of this completely mushy-mushroom romantic comedy!
Things get hurried along a bit here, though the majority of the action takes place on their excursion and during the wedding reception. Phillip is as delusional as ever, though it seems the royals may have been onto something when they got Agnes and Claude to put on that overly affectionate show in front of him. Agnes really is coming to accept herself and her powers more, though the mushrooms do still have a mind of their own. It's a little frightening to think Claude could be even more enamored and attached than he currently is, but apparently this is reserved for dragonmates? The ending with Therese is a little too convenient maybe, but also nice considering how friendly Cesar and Agnes have been ever since she started bringing him medicine and treats. Even Armand seems to have seen the light and is friendly now, which is certainly far more ideal than his earlier actions teaming up with Phillip and intentionally causing trouble.

This series was such a cute and wholesome read. I truly hope that Hanami Nishine writes a sequel for the Cesar and Therese! I would love to read how their love develops.
Am I really gonna rate this higher than the Powerless series... ????? Uh... I mean... I guess it's more my genre... *changes the rating from 3 to 2* but at the same time... it is VERY repetitive...
