These daring characters embark on rambunctious and dangerous escapades, on the way gathering ladies who possess extraordinary beauty, unparalleled determination, and unrivalled spirit, who become entwined in their lives and capture their hearts forever. Love Changes
Upon his father’s passing, George, the new Duke of Beaufort, finds himself in a dire situation. The estate – once a symbol of prestige and wealth – has been reduced to ruins by his predecessor’s reckless actions. To salvage the family’s financial standing, George has no choice but to secure a wealthy bride. Though he has no desire to wed (especially to the woman originally intended for his late father), he focuses on the allure of her sizable dowry and prepares himself for the prospect of marriage. However, fate has a different plan – and he meets his bride, he lays eyes on a woman who will turn his world upside down.
Born a commoner, Eva has nevertheless been raised with the refined grace of a lady. Becoming a duchess never featured in her life plans, but fate thrust her into the aristocratic world. In this unexpected role, she not only proved her worth but also captured the heart of one of England’s most notorious rakes. Together they embark on a transformative journey; one where love will reshape their lives in ways they could never have imagined.
About the
Simi S. Ramdutt was born and raised in beautiful South Africa. She holds a profound passion for the allure of historical romance, a genre that captivates her imagination. Enthralled by the mystique of castles, she finds herself particularly drawn to the tales their cold and mossy stone tells. Beyond her literary pursuits, Simi’s creativity extends to the culinary realm. With a penchant for cooking and baking, she aspires to weave flavours together like an artist crafting a masterpiece. In a world where sharing every aspect of one’s life has become the norm, Simi stands firm in her commitment to keep her private life veiled, especially regarding her children and nieces and nephews, choosing instead to embrace the power of mystery.
Love Changes Everything is the second installment in the Hexagons Series. In this book we follow George, the new Duke of Beaufort, and his young bride Eva. Eva was promised to George's father, but in a fortunate turn of events, the late Duke passes, and George has no choice but to honor the bargain and marry the wealthy heiress. In no time at all, unfortunately, George gets on his new bride's bad side when he unexpectedly disappears.
This book had me experiencing all types of emotions-anger, irritation, anxiety, but AWWWWW! moments most of all. Simi's couples are absolutely swoon worthy, even in the moments where they make you feel like breaking the expensive china. I love the way Simi writes her FMC's-They are proper ladies, but they've got so much spunk. Eva is an absolute firecracker, and not for a single moment would you believe she is only 17years old. George, well yes, George needed his Nanna with a rolled up newspaper swatting him over the head every so often. This man infuriated me so much at times, and yet there is no one more perfect for Eva.
I loved how the Ton was brought in a bit more in this book. I'm all about the added drama, of course🤭 We see more of the societal pressures these women had to endure, how everyone knew everyone's business, and gossiped like it was going out of fashion. I appreciate the amount of research Simi put into this series to make it feel like we are experiencing 18th century England first hand. I enjoyed getting the pov snippets from the villain-this is something I would like to see more of in books.
Both books stand firmly on their own and can be read as standalones, however, I would suggest reading this as a series.
If Historical Fiction is your vibe, don't hesitate to start this beautiful series.
🌹I was fortunate enough to attend the book launch for LCE. As always, it was a beautiful event, and so lovely seeing Simi again🤩
🌹Thank you to the author @ssr_hand_made and @willowtradingsa for a gifted copy and stunning pr box. I can't wait for the next one.
First of all, look at that stunning cover! It brings all the romantic historical fiction vibes a girl could ask for and I'm obsessed!! I enjoyed getting to know Eva after we met her in book one, she's an amazing character, she's strong and resilient and absolutely rebellious and I loved her! And yet, even through all of her hard exterior, she is still vulnerable and trusting and loves so easily. The beginning of this book brought out some very strong emotions in me because, wow, was George a twatwaffle! (excuse my French, hahaha🤣 - IYKYK).
I absolutely loved the plot in this book, it flowed throughout the story and we had such a good villain that I was immediately captivated! I especially enjoyed the chapters from Pierre's perspective because they were so well-placed in the story, so ominous and filled with envy and the need to get to George that it really made the plot keep my attention!
I loved how we started this story off before book one and as time goes on, we see how book one and book two overlap. It took me back to the moments between Eva and Lizzy and the kindling of their friendship that I loved so much! Simi is such a descriptive writer, her wording really sets the scene and I love how I could really picture England in this time of Dukes and Castles and carriage rides into London. This book was fast paced and easy to read and I would definitely recommend it if you enjoy this genre!
Thank you, @willowtradingsa and @ssr_hand_made, for this review copy 🖤🤎
tropes: • marriage of convenience • historical romance • drama / suspense • royals • spice

This was a great follow up story to Eva & George's life & romance. We were introduced to them in book 1 and got to know a bit about them over there. Now with the spotlight entirely on them with book 2, I found myself liking fmc Eva more. As opposed to book 1 where I preferred the mmc over there.
Don't get me wrong George was enjoyable to see on page but Eva was better. I didn't like that George only revealed to her the truth towards the end of the book. Eva deserved to know much quicker.
Regardless they made a sweet and spark filled couple. Lots of spice and tension between these two as well. Adorable little baby William was a cutie! I liked seeing the other Hexagon boys yet again.
I look forward to reading all of their books coz they truly are something interesting.
Simi once again sets the period stage perfectly in her book and takes you back easily into that era/time. Even if one isn't familiar or into historical romances, the author makes it easy to enjoy! I especially love how Simi doesn't use highly complicated olden day terms and talks. She adds her flair of modernity into it whilst keeping the old time era intact. Alongside served with drama and suspense to tie it all up well!
• thank you author for a physical gifted review copy of the book. All opinions are my own •
Here I thought that it couldn't get any better than "The Journey of Love." But "Love Changes Everything" has completely blown me away!
This book also had some of my favourite tropes: age gap, arranged marriage, a strong FMC, and a reformed rake (I love this - I have eternal hope that men can change - it's the dream, right?). Plus, it's spicy with a spice level of three for me. Both books have multiple POVs, which I just loved!
OMG, BookTok and bookstagram and Goodreads fam! I had the opportunity to ARC read this.
You HAVE to read "Love Changes Everything" by Simi Ramdutt, the second instalment in the Hexagons series. This historical romance absolutely swept me off my feet and transported me to 18th-century England. Trust me, it’s everything you want in a romance novel and more.
So, we follow George, the new Duke of Beaufort, who’s handed a crumbling estate along with his title. Ramdutt's writing is so vivid that you can practically feel the weight of George’s responsibilities. His journey to restore his family's legacy while navigating the pressures of his new role is both heart-wrenching and inspiring. You’ll be rooting for him every step of the way!
The characters are so well-developed and endearing. George's transformation from a debt-ridden noble to a determined duke is filled with emotional highs and lows that will have you hooked. The romance? Swoon-worthy! It’s a perfect mix of passion and tenderness that will make your heart flutter.
One of the things that really sets this book apart is the blend of rich historical detail with a gripping narrative. The societal pressures and cultural norms of the time are seamlessly woven into the story, enriching the romance without overshadowing it. Ramdutt's meticulous research brings the historical context to life, making the world of the Hexagons series feel so real.
This book isn’t just about romance; it’s about love, resilience, and the power of the human spirit. Ramdutt's storytelling is top-notch, creating a tale of love, loss, and triumph that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page. If you’re a fan of historical romance, this book is a must-read. You’ll be completely enchanted and eagerly waiting for more.
In short, Simi Ramdutt has created a masterpiece with "Love Changes Everything." It’s a heartwarming, beautifully written story that I can’t recommend enough. Dive into this series and experience the magic for yourself!
This was such a fun book to continue with in the series. I enjoyed that we got a view into the bad guy of the story, and how George slowly grew to love both his wife and his child.
I like Eva's spunkness and how she made George's study all floral because she was out to get him for leaving her 😂. She really is the epitome of petty.
Eva also eventually got a group of friends who love her and support her, especially after what she went through with some of the ton in the beginning.
I'm excited to see where the next set of characters take us and how The Hexagons' stories unfold.
Thank you to Willow Trading and Simmi for sending me an ARC for my honest review
Something I absolutely love about Simi’s writing is that even though the plot is set in the past. The women have a voice and they have some modern qualities even though the plot is set in a different time.
The dedication in the beginning of the book is also incredibly beautiful and speaks to her strong female characters
I really enjoyed this one! Getting into the story in the beginning was a bit difficult at first and I felt were some pacing issues but aside from that, it’s a really enjoyable read that I think has something for everyone!
The incorporation of elements outside of the romance plot also really help to keep the reader engaged and develop the plot of the story further
I loved the interconnection of the 2 books through Eva & Lizzy’s stories. Which can be read as a series or as standalones
If you enjoy Historical Romance with some slight modernism, this is definitely a good series to try
🌼LOVE CHANGES EVERYTHING🌼 Book Rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Spice Rating:🌶🌶🌶/5 Age Rating: 18+
One word... PHENOMENAL This book is enchanting beyond words. Love Changes Everything by Simi Ramdutt is a drop of starlight and a tear shed by a golden goddess. Reading Love Changes Everything was an experience that I will forever cherish. This story was, in short-DAZZLING!! From the very first page, I was trapped with awe. Love Changes Everything locks its readers in a maze of wonder, light-hearted banter, adventure and truth, and captures their hearts with a tale of undying-love and passion. These pages embed themselves in your mind and leave you with a thirst for more!! Simi Ramdutt has imprinted her writing in my heart and there's no going back now- I'm in love with every twist and turn in these stunning novels.
The story features our two main characters, Eva and George. Eva, a young woman with an ambitious mind finds herself in an arranged marriage to an old Duke. Dutiful and fearless as she is, Eva marries said Duke, only to find that he has passed and now, her husband is a man of glory and class- George. George, now Duke of Beaufort after his father's death, finds out that his father was in severe debt and that he had an agreement to marry the daughter of a rich man. George being true to his father's word, marries this young woman only to find out that Eva is not just a rich woman but the love of his life. Together George and Eva find themselves in game of truth, twists and turns, love, trust and chemistry that is off the charts. Falling for each other was never the plan.
This book features some of my favourite tropes: strong and sassy fmc, touch her and 💀 mmc, arranged marriage, let the world 🔥 for her, overprotective mmc😍, and historical romance!!
I love that George calls Eva his Golden Goddess- he's soo swoonworthy!! George has jumped soo high on my scale of book boyfriends and I'm certain that every woman needs a George in their life. He's strong, caring, clever and filled with life. I love that he never makes Eva feel less than him and that Eva is always his first priority. Eva is just STUNNING!! Everything about her is perfect!! I love the way she doesn't let anyone get her down- how she takes command the second she enters a room. Love Eva's mental conversations with herself!!🤣😍 This woman is perfection!! And when she redecorated the Manor and changed George's office to a pinky princess room🤣🤣 This Golden Goddess is brighter than the sun itself!!! She knows how to shoot 🔫 and gives George and James a run for their money🤣 Eva resonated with me the most because I see myself in her❤
And let's not forget how the Hexagons accepted Eva as their sister and protected her🤗 The Hexagons are the absolute best- them teaming up and teasing George was the funniest! And Simi brought my babies back- James and Lizzy!! Loved seeing them!! Eva and Lizzy are an unbeatable duo- love them with my whole heart🎀 their friendship is the definition of girl-code. Another adorable character that I have to mention is baby William!! Such a cute and sweet baby he is🥺 I just know he will love Baby Emma💗One of my favourite scenes has to be George and Lizzy standing up for my Eva and then James's dry smile when kicking the horrible four out... chefs kiss!! Also someone please throw Phillipe in a pond🙄
I can honestly write a novel about how much I loved this book!!! To keep my review short- READ THIS FABULOUS BOOK!!! I read Love Changes Everything in one day and I would do anything to read it again for the first time. I don't know how Simi will be able to beat this book but if anyone can do it, then she can!! Eva and George have taken top 3 of my favourite reads for the year and I hope and plead with you to give their book a chance because you will not be disappointed!! To my Golden Goddess and my favourite Duke: I will forever cherish my time reading your book and will never stop loving you both!!❤ Now... off to do a re-read!! Much love💐
Just finished Love Changes Everything by Simi Ramdutt and OMG, I am obsessed! If you're into historical romance with a sassy twist, this book is gonna be your new fav - I loved this better than the first "The Journey of Love"
Set in the 18th century, we follow a charming rakehell George (who doesn't love a good rakehell, am I right?) who thinks he's got his bachelor life all figured out. But then he has to marry to save the Dukedom. And now enters the fierce and beautiful heroine Eva who turns his world upside down. The banter between these two is off the charts, and the chemistry? 🔥🔥🔥
Ramdutt's writing is so vivid, you can almost feel the petticoats and powdered wigs. The historical details are on point, but it's the characters that really steal the show. They're well-rounded, flawed, and oh-so-relatable. Plus, the romance? Swoon-worthy. 😍
I laughed, I got sad, and I found myself grinning like an idiot more times than I care to admit. If you're looking for a read that’s both heartwarming and hilarious, this one's for you.
Seriously, stop what you're doing and pick up Love Changes Everything. You won't regret it!
Reading the journey of Love Changes Everything is like being swept into a whirlwind of emotions. From the very first chapter, this book pulled me in with its beautifully layered characters and dramatic twists.Simi delivers another heart stirring historical romance.
Eva’s unexpected entrance into the aristocratic world marrying a duke she barely knows, navigating betrayal, loneliness, and eventually finding strength in herself, is both heart wrenching and inspiring. George, the Duke of Beaufort, is a deeply flawed man who grows through pain, distance, and love, and watching that transformation unfold was both frustrating and powerful in all the right ways.
The side characters like Richard, and Alexander brought so much warmth and balance to Eva’s story. And the emotional confession of love to Eva “Since I was in prison, when I started to dream of you it was unforgettable.
I laughed and I definitely got swept up in the drama. Love Changes Everything still stands strong on its own captivating, emotionally rich, and deeply satisfying in its own right.
A story of growth, betrayal, resilience, and the unexpected power of love, Love Changes Everything 💛truly lives up to its name.
Simi has done it again with her next installment of the deeply immersive Hexagon series. 'Love Changes Everything' will immediately transport you to the 18th century and the lives of George and Eva who find themselves thrust into an unusual and challenging marriage. Simi draws readers into Eva's world, making them feel the weight of her solitude and the societal pressures.
Enter the villain who adds even more drama and chaos into the mix for this couple and takes the story into high stakes territory.
Fortunately, Eva's strength and resilience shine through she makes the best of a bad situation by surrounding herself with new friends, thanks to her humble personality and rejection of stifling societal norms.
The central question that lingers throughout the novel is whether Eva can come to love the man she married. Simi is a master at capturing the complexity of human emotions and the interpersonal nuances that keep us vested throughout the story.
OMG, I just finished "Love Changes Everything" and I am obsessed! 😍 Eva is such a gem—she's a bit unhinged, but in the best way possible. Her quirks just make her so lovable! And George? Total wanker and rakehell at the start (I was cracking up 😂), but his character development is chef's kiss. By the end, he's stepping up for Eva and their baby in such a heartwarming way. 💖
The pacing was on point, keeping me hooked from start to finish. I adored the multiple POVs; it added so much depth and richness to the story. And can we talk about the overlapping timeline with "The Journey of Love"? It was such a treat to see James and Lizzy again! 😍📚
Highly recommend for anyone who loves historical romance with a twist. This book had me laughing, crying, and swooning all the way through! 💕✨ #BookTok #Bookstagram #MustRead #LoveChangesEverything #SimiRamdutt
Book two in the Hexagon series follows George and Eva.
Eva is forced into an unwanted marriage. She was promised to George's father but due to his demise, she now has to marry George.
George was called to one of his estates for an emergency and Eva discovers she's pregnant.
I loved the other Hexagons and their support for Eva. Later, they discover something wrong and go in search of George. It's interesting to see how the two main characters navigate life without the other, and how they find their way to each other.
Love Changes Everything has scenes from The Journey of Love also included and it's nice to see how the two stories intertwine.
Love Changes Everything is Book 2 in The Hexagons Series. The story follows George a Duke seeking a wealthy bride to save his estate. He is arranged to marry Eva - a commoner with a sizeable dowry who has been raised to be a lady and now the soon to be new Duchess.
Eva is devastated & confused when the Duke weds her, beds her & leaves her alone to bear a child he refuses to acknowledge as his own.
This historical romance series with strong Bridgeton vibes gets better with each book. It exudes romance, adventure and an action plot that will keep you on your toes.
This is fast becoming my favourite historical romance series!
Eva is my new favourite FMC. She's a got a little bit of everything and a whole lot of sass. Love Changes Everything, book 2 is this series, is a whimsical historical romance with a smoking MMC and a host of characters I want to learn more about. If you like multiple PoVs, enemies-to-lovers, a strong and determined heroine and hate-to-love hero, then this is right up your alley.
All I got was a bunch of information about the author, the book, other people who were on the project, and a picture of the cover. That's pretty much it. Very disappointed.
This is the second book I have read and Simi has such a way with words, taking the reader on a journey with her words. It’s a real page turner. I can’t wait for book 3.
Love Changes Everything is a fun romance novel. Thanks to the author/publisher for this Goodreads giveaway. I enjoyed the opportunity to read and review it. I have given my honest opinion.
Also known as: The Book Where George Needs a GPS, a Therapist, and Possibly a Helmet.
If Jane Austen and Shonda Rhimes had a lovechild raised on dramatic monologues, petty revenge, and pastel upholstery, it would be Love Changes Everything. This second entry in Simi Ramdutt’s deliciously dramatic Hexagons Series delivers every possible emotion—rage, swooning, frustration, laughter, and the occasional urge to launch a macaron at George’s frustratingly beautiful face.
So let’s talk plot: Seventeen-year-old Eva, a walking contradiction of elegance and pure chaos, is promised to the old Duke of Beaufort. But surprise! Daddy Duke promptly dies (oops), and his brooding, debt-drenched son George steps up as the new Duke and the new groom. The inheritance package includes a crumbling estate, financial ruin, and a wife who redecorates your study in blush tones just to spite you. Karma, thy name is Eva.
George, bless his emotionally constipated soul, has the communication skills of a damp crumpet. He disappears at the worst possible times, keeps secrets like it’s a competitive sport, and still somehow makes you want to wrap him in a blanket and hand him a second chance. Maybe it’s the soft “Golden Goddess” declarations. Maybe it’s the slow striptease of his emotional walls. Or maybe Stockholm Syndrome has entered the chat. Either way—we stan, but with side-eye.
Eva is chef’s kiss chaos incarnate in a corset. She’s got fire, flair, and a mental dialogue that could fill an entire comedy special. This girl walks into high society like she owns it, slays Ton gossip like a Regency ninja, and still finds time to turn George’s man-cave into a princess fantasy as retribution. She’s vulnerable, she’s fierce, and she’s not here to take your patriarchal nonsense, thank you very much.
Simi Ramdutt’s writing is the literary equivalent of a Bridgerton montage backed by a Vitamin String Quartet cover of Beyoncé. Her attention to historical detail is spot-on, but mercifully without the headache-inducing "thees" and "thous." It’s history, but make it binge-worthy.
There’s drama. There’s romance. There’s a delightfully devious villain creeping through the shadows like he’s auditioning for Les Misérables. And yes, there’s George... avoiding emotional intimacy like it’s a contagious disease.
And don’t get me started on the Hexagons. Our favorite aristocratic Avengers assemble once more—offering fierce friendship, terrible timing, and about as much help as a chocolate teapot when George is missing. Case in point:
POV George (kidnapped): “My brothers will come for me! I am beloved! FEAR THEM!” Hexagon brothers, 10 months later, holding Eva’s baby: “Awwww, who's a cute widdle Dukelet? Wait—George who?”
And then there’s this gem:
George: Behold! My Lizzy. Eva: invisible eye roll Lizzy: blinking James: buffering
Honestly, this book is a glorious mess of all your favourite tropes: enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, surprise baby (surprise to George, anyway), and enough slow-burn tension to light up a Regency ballroom.
Bottom line: Love Changes Everything is a hilarious, heartfelt rollercoaster featuring carriage rides, class warfare, and the world’s most passive-aggressive interior decorating. You’ll laugh, you’ll swoon, you might yell “GEORGE, GET IT TOGETHER” into the void—but you won’t be able to put it down.
Read it for Eva. Read it for the drama. Read it because George deserves that cake to the face, and you deserve the satisfaction.
Five stars. And one pink floral study. 💐💘
