This series finally feels like it’s going somewhere, even if that monolid thing remains one of those cultural differences I still don’t get. Surprisingly, it’s the hot guy who gets the real development and I loved a lot of the conversations in that section. Couple of stellar double page spreads here too.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this series. It keeps getting better. Mari's arc is great and Asagiri's has been fantastic as well. While the whole premise of the series is unrequited love, I hope there's an exception to the case. Asagiri has great chemistry with his crush; I need them to get together so bad.

Un primer volum que no anticipa com és de bona aquesta sèrie!!!! ♥ Es tracta d'un shoujo d'institut que trenca amb dinàmiques fins ara d'allò més habituals del gènere pel que fa a triangles amorosos, relacions amb profes o rivalitat femenina. El punt fort d'aquesta obra és la narració coral gràcies a la qual anem veient els sentiments de tots els personatges involucrats en aquest calidoscopi amorós ^^' Bàsicament els 4 protagonistes adolescents tenen un amor no correspost amb algú altre alhora que també mantenen una profunda amistat entre ells. Cadascú entoma d'una manera diferent el rebuig: menystenint-se, lluitant per millorar, rendint-se... La psicologia dels personatges estan molt ben desenvolupada i s'entrellaça a la perfecció amb els traumes del passat que arrosseguen. Per a mi és una alenada d'aire fresc, l'equilibri perfecte entre neguit i tendresa adolescent, una història profunda sense caure en sentimentalismes superflus, versemblant i assossegada. Amb ganes de molt més!!!! ♥♥♥

Beh, un bel finale frizzantino, non c'è che dire.
Dopo Mari, questo terzo volume si concentra su un altro personaggio che si è rivelato essere più interessante del previsto: Hikaru Asagiri, il migliore amico di Shintaro. Bello, sportivo e super popolare con le ragazze, Hikaru tende a farsi vedere come quello sempre disponibile (sotto tutti i punti di vista), ma la verità è che si porta dietro le ferite legate al divorzio dei genitori e all'assenza della madre, che non gli è mai stata vicino e che non gli ha mai mostrato vicinanza e affetto. Il suo grande sogno era quello di sentirsi dire "bravo" da lei, ma senza successo. Questo l'ha portato ad abbandonare i tuffi, sport che ha sempre amato, e a puntare più su una vita con zero sbattimenti e zero voglia di impegnarsi. Sarà il rapporto, non sempre amichevole, con Hikari che lo rimetterà in pista - colpito dalla passione che la ragazza riversa nel suo strumento e nelle prove. E se Hikari non ha alcuna intenzione di parlare con Shintaro dei propri sentimenti, Hikaru, beh, non si fa troppi problemi e piazza proprio sul finire del volume una bella dichiarazione. Ergo la faccenda è destinata a farsi un tantino più ingarbugliata.
Quindi, alla fine del volume 3, la situazione è la seguente: a Hikari piace Shintaro, ma non è corrisposta (c'è da notare che il ragazzo non si è accorto di nulla e che lei si guarda bene dal mettere i manifesti in giro). Le cose non vanno bene nemmeno al già citato Shintaro, visto che Mari ha occhi solo per il professore e sta intraprendendo un percorso di crescita per poter affrontare la sua ansia. E poi c'è Hikaru che ha notato la nostra Hikari e non si è fatto problemi a dirglielo. Aiuto.
Sono curiosa di vedere i prossimi sviluppi. La storia non è molto originale, però i quattro personaggi principali mi stanno piacendo tutti - dietro il muro di apparenza che mostrano davanti a tutti gli altri, si nasconde sempre qualcosa di più, di diverso, e devo dire che questa cosa mi intriga abbastanza.

This manga is currently on hiatus, and I’m eagerly waiting for the next volume to be released. What initially seems like a simple school-life and friendship story gradually reveals deeper emotional layers as the lives of four students and their teacher become intricately connected. At first, the pacing feels slow, and it took me some time to get fully invested. However, as the story progresses, the relationships and character dynamics grow more compelling, making the emotional tension and subtle developments more impactful. The way their lives intertwine adds depth to what could have been a typical slice-of-life narrative. My only disappointment is that the story pauses right when things are becoming truly interesting. Just as the emotional stakes begin to rise, it stops midway due to the hiatus, which makes the wait even harder. Still, I’m genuinely looking forward to the continuation and seeing how their interconnected stories unfold.

"Is it fun to watch people from above?"

This volume was definitely my favorite out of the three released so far. It gave a nice and healthy conclusion to Mari’s character and story that will hopefully bloom into something even better.

We also got what I was the most excited about which was Asagiri’s story and personality. And I’m really not disappointed about it. It was really interesting to read. He’s a very conflicted character who doesn’t like to get involved too much with people because he’s been hurt in the past.

I’m very curious about how this will develop in the next volume.

it's cool learning more about more characters and how each one has their own tragedies beyond all the unrequited love, but I did keep mixing up two of the characters and I feel like the plot is starting to plateau a bit, I'm just not sure where it's going to go from here

If I could give this ten stars, I would! This has quickly become my favourite series of the year, perhaps even more than that! Rumi Ichinohe has such a talent for beautiful storytelling, it feels like a privilege to be able to read this. The imagery, the words said and unsaid, everything was just superb! I never wanted the volume to end it was so good!

Okay. Now it’s cooking. Asa kun , i feel for him. The ending feels illegal. I like that the teacher isn’t a creep!! Whew. I was worried. I didn’t want that and now I feel safe.
