These poems are arranged in different categories such as "Creatures," "People I Know," and "Wonders." The poems are humorous and whimsical, and many are amusingly descriptive, such as "Lighting a Fire": "One quick scratch / Of a kitchen match / And giant flames unzip! / How do they store / So huge a roar / In such a tiny tip?" Monica Iscisa supplied the ink drawings.
