I think the title of the book describes the contents quite concisely. It's not the sort of book I would usually tackle, even in English, but a friend bought it for me and I have to say that I found it refreshing not having to worry too much about the names of the characters.
It wasn't easy going, the technical vocabulary was difficult for me as a non Spanish speaker but the structure was obvious and logical. Descriptions first, the Spanish experience as the last part of the description and, with the description of the situation finished some potential solutions. I found some of the solutions less convincing than the description but I read several things that I will be using in future barroom arguments.
I can't say that the book gave a rosy outlook. as it drew to a close I was thinking that maybe we baby boomers did well in being in the right place at the right time for democracy as well as so many other things. And, given our age, we'll not have to worry too much about its future as we won't be around to see it.
Good book, I thoroughly recommended. If it were ever translated into English (highly unlikely given its Spanish slant) I would read it again.
