The Proposal

April 1st, a day filled with practical jokes and Stella's 25th birthday. It looks to be a day filled with wonderful surprises and not of the killjoy jokes that Stella is the victim of because her boyfriend, Henry, the most straight-laced man she has ever met, who also has been the victim of many practical jokes from her family, takes her out to dinner at a fancy restaurant. Stella hopes this will be the night he proposes. Her mother's hand in playing practical jokes on Stella shows up throughout the evening. Stella and Henry devise a joke of their to play on her mother. After all, turn around is fair play. Find out if Stella accepts Henry's proposal in The Proposal (An April Fools Day story).

Currently, Elysabeth is working on a novel titled Imogene: Innocense Lost and has published a YA novel, Finally Home. She is in the process of publishing most of her short stories as ebooks and has published her YA paranormal mystery novel, Finally Home.

If she's not working, writing, reading or attending various book related events, Elysabeth can be found socializing on the net or attending her local chapter's Sisters in Crime meetings.

Having a birthday on April Fools Day can make a fun time for celebration an agonizing day each year. Stella has this dread of her special day thanks to her mother. Stella remembers going to school with purple hair because her mother put purple die in her shampoo. Tonight is really special to Stella. It's her 25th birthday. Her boyfriend Henry, who she has been with 5 years is taking her out for a romantic dinner. Unfortunately her mothers shenanigans have turned a simple romantic dinner with Henry into a night Stella won't soon forget.

Elysabeth's wonderfully humor filled story will have readers riding along the characters roller coaster of emotion. Its great to read a short story that doesn't feel like a short story. I love the characters and wanted to learn more about them.
