Nick Gordon is a geek and a physics genius. He has invented a way to peer into the past. Fellow grad student Annie Malone is intrigued enough to help where she can so she can use the results of the experiment for her history doctoral thesis. They even have Dept. of Defense funding and security. The goal is to peek into a lunch at Benjamin Franklin's home attended by General George Washington and James Madison on the eve of the Constitutional Convention in 1789. But when their field test goes awry they are astonished to find three founding fathers in their lab - and both of their advisers and the general in charge of security have disappeared into the past. The accident precludes an immediate reversal of persons and Annie, Nick, and their astonished guests quickly discover their biggest problem is their own security guards. In 1789 the 21st century visitors have to deal with early American politics, men with guns, and the Order of the Cincinnati. Car chases, carriage pursuits, romance, and quick thinking are the order of the day in separate centuries. Who says history isn't exciting?

Stoney took something impossible and made it possible. His story was mixed with an interesting blend of history with fantasy. I enjoyed the experience and am sure that you will also!
