This is a gripping story of a man who is on a mission to save Earth from aliens who are threatening to destroy it. He is particularly concerned that the aliens are intending to take his daughter away as she has somehow developed strange powers, and the world is changing by the day with lots of unpredictable and often tragic events taking place. 'Hell's Fire' is the name given to the phenomenon occurring seemingly haphazardly around the globe where people are being transported away from Earth in great circles of fire. The book has elements of Sci-fi, fantasy, and a dollop of romance for good measure. Sandra Yuen MacKay has created an engaging storyline and true-to-life characters. It reminded me of a few Dr. Who episodes that I've seen. I'm sure Sci-fi fans will love it! It kept me interested, and had enough twists and turns to make it exciting. Definitely worth a read.
