Should old acquaintance be forgot?

Shell Maverick is so close to getting her life together. Right when she’s about to turn the corner from hot mess to self-sufficient, functioning adult, she crosses paths with the one guy she hoped to never see Evan Lawrence, her childhood nemesis. The worst part? He’s taller, smugger, and sexier than ever.

A coerced coffee catch-up and a little drunk texting later, Shell finds herself entrenched in a fiery fling with the only human that’s ever been on her bad side, and she hates that it’s more fun than all previous hookups combined.

Evan makes his living exposing people's secrets, but he wants his own to stay hidden. After their surprise reunion, Shell is in prime position to discover things about him that should never see the light of day. He should run. Fast. And yet, he can’t force himself to stay away when messing with the bombshell is more fun than ever. Will the truth about their pasts carry them into the new year together, or are old enemies best left forgot?

Rendezvous with a rival

I was so excited for shell’s story. Her personality from Designing for the billionaire was sassy, loyal and the kind of friend anyone would be lucky to have.

Shell and Evan had great chemistry from the start to the finish. I do love a childhood enemies to lovers. *insert squeal* They meet again at a work party. Shell can’t get away from Evan fast enough and Evan can’t get close enough to Shell.

“ I never wanted to f**k you over. Not then and not now. I just wanted you, so f**king bad, and I was too scared to admit it”

Shell isn’t sure she can trust Evan and she can tell he’s hiding something.

Mia Sparrow is quickly becoming a favourite author. I can’t wait to see what else is to come.

I love an enemies to lovers story. The banter is top tier.
Shell and Evan have been rivals since elementary school. It's been years since she's seen him but a chance run in at a party has left her feeling all sorts of things. After another year, she reached out and learned he's been thinking about her as well
They start to see each other and he confesses he's been in love since high school and before. Some family drama and miscommunication pill them apart. Will Evan let her know the truth and can she forgive him?

This is the book you didnt know you needed to read after the first one in the series. Seeing glimpses of happiness between Shell and Evan you just want them to live their happily ever after but of course they have a few challenges to overcome for the love hate to be love forever. I thoroughly enjoyed this story but the headache felt so real as I did feel tears rolling down my face. Totally recommend it is on my reread list.

This book was a wonderful fast read! It has my favorite trope Enemies to Lovers!

Shell and Evan have a past and he made her life hell. So she doesn’t know whether to trust him or not. Evan has always liked Shell but couldn’t bring up the courage to actually show her. But things change when they cross paths later on and he decides to show her he wanted her all along.

I highly recommend the book! Can’t wait to read more by Mia Sparrow.
