In the aftermath of the fire, I wake up in a cabin with no memory of how I got there.
Then he appears—Nicholas, the man who rescued me. We’re in his secluded home now, and I’m at his mercy. Despite my urge to return to the cabin and assess the damage, he won’t let me leave. He warns of danger with a possessive glint in his eye.
Our chemistry blurs the lines between pleasure and pain. I’m inexplicably drawn to him, driven to please him as if it’s my only purpose. Now, all that remains is to await his command.
NICHOLAS:
In the chaos of flames, I find Parker—lost, vulnerable, and utterly captivating.
Something about him entices me. It could be the way he looks at me. Or how he surrenders to my strength without question. Maybe it’s the vulnerable plea in his eyes, silently begging me to take control.
He vows to go to any lengths to show his gratitude for saving his life. Here in the wilderness, the presence of ropes and restraints suggests intriguing possibilities. Time will reveal just how eager he is to please and how willingly he obeys.
This is the second book in the Wild Woods series. It can be read as a standalone with no cliffhanger.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Wild Woods series. In this book, Parker decides to rent a cabin in the woods and live without any electricity or running water. Parker is co owners, with his best friends, of a resort in the woods. Parker feels like he isn't qualified to own the resort without knowing how to survive in the woods. When the cabin Parker rented burns down, he is left without a place to stay. When Parker wakes up, he is in a strange house, which is owned by Nicholas, a fireman who saved Parker. Nicholas suggests Parker stay with him at his house for the remainder of his vacation and they get to know each other. Parker is very attracted to Nicholas, but he is unsure if Nicholas is straight or gay. When Nicholas gets to know Parker more, his attraction to him grows and he wants to be with him. They grow very close, but Parker is going to be returning home and Nicholas just got a new promotion, which was his dream. I really liked this book, I liked their chemistry and thought they were perfect for each other. Parker was a great guy who needed to have more confidence in his abilities and Nicholas wanted Parker to realize how great he was. I loved them together. Another great one from Jason.
Gives you an appreciation of water! Parker, takes off on a vacation to the woods in a cabin with no running water. He also didn't tell his brothers where he was going. Nicholas, ends up saving Parker from a cabin fire. As Nick offers Parker a place to stay during his vacation, they accidentally slide onto a relationship. There are lots of questions, many answers, plenty of action and adventure while our guys open themselves up to new realities. As always, Jason creates the best characters and puts them through the growth of life that challenges them and lets them put their best face forward. Nice cover art! Pretty humorous and a good story, nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.
This story is filled with nervousness and two people who aren’t sure whether they can fall and stay in love. Parker is insecure as he has always been dependent and Nicholas is hiding from his true self. The chemistry between these two characters left this reader wanting to know more about their insecurities and how Parker came about his. The book is racy and sweet in its own way with a little submissive and master added in.
Parker and Nicholas have good chemistry, and they’re definitely stronger together. They each have some insecurities and it is through an action-packed, humorous and sweet and spicy story that we get to see them work out just how well they complement each other. I really enjoyed the power dynamics between them and the element of giving up control. They are a great pairing and the star of the story for sure!
It was good at first, but then it bored me. Their intimate relationship happened kind of fast, so the later chapters were about how their intimate relationship turned into a romantic relationship, how Parker found his calling, being dominated in bed by Nicholas, and how they explored their kinky journey together. The pace was too slow for my liking and flat, and no exciting things ever happened; I'm already bored out of my mind.
I liked Taken by Jason Collins. It's the second book in the Wild Woods series. I enjoyed Nicolas and Parker's story. I liked their chemistry and their scenes together. I enjoyed the choices Nicholas made regarding his job and that they got their HEA. My favorite part of the book was when Parker would write in his journal.
Parker takes a vacation. He doesn't let anyone know where he's staying. The cabin he's in goes in flames, Nicholas is the fireman who comes to his rescue. Having nowhere to go, Nicholas offers him to stay at his place, not wanting to go home with his tail between his legs, Parker agrees. AS Nicholas is showing him the sights, a romance develops. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Taken is the second book in the Wild Wood Series. This was a fun and beautiful read. I smiled all the way through. The power exchange between the MCs was beautiful, sweet, and sexy. Nicholas and Parker were perfect together.
Nicholas and Parker have major chemistry. Living so far from each other has them slating their relationship in the ‘temporary’ slot. The feelings build but neither one is willing to admit they want more. There are plenty of spicy moments with D/s elements. Highly recommended author and series
It seems to be the place to find the ONE! First Sam now Parker! That means it's Jacob turn now to find HIS ONE! I hope we will get to read that one next. PLEASE, Jason! Thank you. ENJOY!
The initial chapters failed to captivate my interest sufficiently to continue reading, so I skipped to the conclusion, which drew me in enough that I've placed the book in my "try again" list for a future read-through of the middle sections.
Book 2 in The Wild Woods Series and this one is about Nicholas and Parker. Nicholas rescues Parker from a fire in the woods. The chemistry between these 2 is amazing.
It was okay. I never really saw the attraction. The last 20% of the book was lame. Nicholas was obsessed and kind of creepy, although other characters kept saying he was charming and kind.

He's done it again. Parker from Wikd Woods takes a vacation in a dry cabin which catches on fire, and he and the fireman who saves him fall madly in love. Excellent book
