Written by Justin Bell, one of the most prolific post-apocalyptic authors on Amazon, with nearly a hundred titles to his name. If you love books by Mike Kraus, Kyla Stone, TL Payne, Jack Hunt or Ryan Schow you'll LOVE Justin Bell!
This is still a good series, but I felt like the Kiselev story line was a bit on the boring side. He is anguished, angry and killing everyone as he goes from Alaska to DC (and couldn't his handlers have gotten him a bit further on this crucial mission?). The Dan and Abby storyline was pretty good, if not a bit predictable. The town people and sheriff in Wisconsin really need a clue. Give law enforcement authority to a family of thugs? It had some predictable result too. On to book 4.
Devastation is the 3rd book in the Days Of Extinction series and is, to put it mildly, superb. Fast paced and perfectly plotted, with sympathetic protagonist's, detestable villains and excellent dialog. Devastation is everything apocalyptic fiction should be. It also ends on a cliffhanger that will make the wait for the next book in the series. 5/5 stars, I couldn't have enjoyed the book more!!
Justin Bell's 3rd book in his Days of Extinction series, Devastation, follows the separated halves of the Porter family in Houston and back home in Wisconsin, as they must repeatedly fight for survival.
Far away, a killer is on the way to wreak revenge on his family's murderers...but whom does he think is to blame? See if you worked it out correctly when you read Devastation...you'll be gripped firmly by the imagina- tion throughout - guaranteed!
I’m enjoying this series. The characters are good, storyline good. This third book could have used better proofreading, otherwise other than a few odd assumptions it’s good.
Plot is great. The story MOVES!Great characters that evolve In the story. There is opportunity to do some introspection about how we feel about a tragic earth change.. Some science fiction isn't that far off from the truth.
Devastation, book 3 is another exciting story in this series. Each chapter has, danger, drama and hold your breath moments. Very excited to read what's going to happen to our main characters next. Great series.
While the plot is interesting with surprising events sprinkled in, the details of each move the characters made caused the book to drag. It also would benefit from a proofreader/editor.
Some people prepare for the whatever the future msy bring, and some prepare to take it by force. That is if they're allowed to. Some will fight to defend their hard earned gains.
