For Sally the thought of spending Christmas all alone for the first time was a daunting prospect. Then a gentleman walked into her life with interesting consequences.
I am a published author, translator and poet. I currently live in Calais in France, I am a British expat. I have written non-fiction and fiction works.
Most of my books are available at www.smashwords.com and www.amazon.com as well as amazon in European Union. In France FNAC has my books in stock as well as Apple, Whsmiths, Barnes and Noble and Sony.
I have been self-publishing since my three seperate publishers went bankrupt. I enjoy designing my own covers, editing, and formatting. I have a lot of author friends and we often help each other out.
When I am not writing or publishing and digitalising music, I am teaching English, composing music, playing the violin and piano, and singing alongside my maestro!!!
Short, simplistic, feel-good story with a nice Chrismasy romantic feeling. Somewhat repetitive wording (and some typos) about the Magic that can happen at Christmas, as two lonely souls find each other.
I kept thinking that today's reality is that Sally really needed to be more cautious about going home with a stranger. If this story was in the horror genre, she would have been raped/killed/etc. Sally, an IT specialist, seemed really passive - having a fiance for 10 years, then being dumped by him; just simply following a stranger's suggestions, including staying over the first night, etc. Michael, an engineer, seemed rather wealthy (big house, Renault car, pearl necklace as a first Christmas gift). And what's with a cream jumper for a guy's gift? Okay, better stop here.

Overly simplistic and very short story, with quite a number of punctuation errors. Who would go home with a stranger just after meeting them (OK, maybe I am showing my age here) and who would give pearls to a girl he has just met?
