Watching the current news cycle can be disheartening. But Admiral Studeman lays out the possibilities for our country through leadership. The qualities of leadership he presents through personal stories gives hope for our country - if our current and future leaders would just read it!

Worth the Read

Some great insights into leadership with his insights through personal experience of a senior leader in the US military. Interesting insights on what is needed in the leadership of the US.

Decent read with applicable points and some solid takeaways. Did find the constant referrals to his military background redundant despite making a personal connection to his points

This is a fabulous book about all the qualities that great leaders exemplify. Each quality or characteristic is highlighted by a narrative from Admiral Studeman. Some are personal and some professional. Many are about other leaders in his life - the CHAIN of command. Each story gives one pause to think about how you embody that skill (or should). Great lessons in each story. I learned so much about the inner workings of the US Navy. This is a quick and informative read. The ending of the book is especially enlightening about the tenuous relationship between the US and China. TBH - I've known Adm. Studeman for many years. He is the kind of leader we need in this world - especially with regards to China.
