If you love insta-love—well, more like insta-lust—then this one’s for you! This is a big age-gap (22 years) mafia romance that kicks off with a kidnapping. The MMC falls first, and the FMC falls hard.
Honestly, the audiobook is where this story really shines (come for the MMC’s voice actor, stay for the bonus epilogue!). Everything about this book is hot, smutty, and just so entertaining. If that’s your vibe, you’ll have a great time!

better than listening to football announcers on Sunday. But Willow and Zane are way too juicy kinky instalove to get all the stars. Highlights include: FMC jump from a moving vehicle. MMC with an itchy trigger finger and surprise body count. I am a BAD man but your MAN speech. BAD joke reference to trouser snake and corresponding snake charmer. Plenty of very dirty possessive breed kink talk.

Quickie Review: I adored everything about this book. I loved that Zane fell first and so very hard for Willow that there was no questioning it. But of course, Willow questioned it. And after the way she was raised and treated by her family, you can’t blame the girl. But Zane worked his magic and was doing everything he could to prove how true his feelings really were, by giving her all her firsts. And it was brilliant. A truly wonderful, beautiful romance. 5 Stars.

4-4.5. This is the next book in the London Mafia Bosses world and DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! From the opening pages, I was hooked once again in Evie Rose’s mafia universe!
Everything happens so fast- I mean fast! From Zane interrupting the NOT SO WANTED NUPTIALS (on Willow’s part), to an execution, then a “kidnapping” with all the complications that come with being a mafia princess to finally a love that will last a lifetime.
I loved Willow’s sass and gumption, even though her family has tried to beat that out of her. Zane sees this and wants to give her everything- ultimately a bookstore, Willow’s dream! This made me giddy happy to see Willow’s love of books become a reality.
The banter between these two was on point! Again, I found myself smiling, giggling and shaking my head at times because this book is so much fun!
If you like sinful, insta love stories, then this book and author are for you! This is my new fav from Evie and I’m waiting to listen to it next!

Author Evie Rose to the Rescue to cure my reading slump! Her novellas, including her upcoming release, “Seized by the Mafia King,” seem to resolve mine. At about 142 pages, Evie hit several of my favorite tropes. One is that the MMC, Zane, falls first.
Readers can expect everything to happen quickly. It is, after all, 142 pages. Zane falls for Willow when he eliminates her soon-to-be husband at the altar. It’s an exciting scene, with great banter, action, and heated tension between the two characters.
Despite Zane being the Kingpin, he is a softie inside just for Willow, and I loved that. “Seized by the Mafia King” was a great short read.

felt like 0 plot 100 smut but i’m here for it. i like the concept of a mafia kidnapping with an age gap, but the falling in love part felt a little impossible and definitely rushed. considering the book is so short i didn’t mind it? the dirty talk got me though ooof Zane can definitely talk dirty. I just read pen pal before this so loving the little bunny predator prey theme. i’ve been looking for a really good mafia book with a good plot, but sadly this one wasn’t it. glad i gave it a quick read

This was an interesting listen. I loved the banter between Willow and Zane. Him noticing her distress, and then snatching her from the alter of her forced marriage was lovely lol. Her resolve and fight are commendable. I’m glad that he rescued her from her family and gave her everything he said he would.
The development of their relationship was quick, but Zane was a gentleman and made sure to keep his word to her all while…controlling things lol.

I will be honest the line "I'll be taking this!" had me popping my hand in the air saying take me Zane!!! The blurb was very inviting and even though the cover gave me Dark Mafia vibes, I loved it! The characters have chemistry off the charts, and I adored their story from start to finish!.

Another great addition to this series. In fact, I’m not sure this series has ever steered me wrong. I love how immediately Zane knew he loved her and she was his soulmate. He didn’t just assumed he was attracted or infatuated at first. He loved her and told her, then had to convince her.
I also like that at we (especially at the end) got glimpses of the hot headed, violent, unhinged mafia boss. There was no toning down of this guy.

I really want to enjoy this author��s books — they’re romantic, and full of mafia drama. The writing is good, the characters are interesting, and the plots start off strong.
But then comes the overwhelming breeding obsession. It’s always the same in the epilogue: unrealistic numbers of kids in no time, and it completely makes me detest the story. What could be a fun, sexy romance ends up feeling like a bizarre fertility contest.
Honestly, it’s disappointing. The books have so much potential without all that. I am not reading any more of her stories. I know breeding is a kink for some… but I detest the whole concept that a very young adult woman has a large age gap relationship (that i don’t mind) who basically turns her into a breeding machine. Yuck

Unfortunately I couldn't bring myself to finish the book. Afer all she has been through (or implied being through) she seems to have no problem trusting Zane or letting him touch her. Even after knowing her brief groom to be likes them young and is into selling of kids into, what I can only assume is sex trade, she still has no problem trusting Zane. I get it's insta love and all but it's getting to be a bit much. The girls are always virgin and pure and wear white cotton undies, etc and the men are always 20+ years their senior, having slept with so many people but hey, this young virgin is the one for them. Seriously I just.. I can't anymore. Why do women lose brain cells when they meet the mmc? Why do they always have to be virgins? Why can't there be like at most a 10 year age gap? As good as the author normally is I just... I don't know, can't anymore. I like my fmcs to have substance, and a brain.

This dark romantic suspense book immediately immerses you into the story with a forced wedding gone horrible wrong and the dubious hero coming to save the heroine. Willow Maldon, the 20-year-old virginal mafia princess was standing at the altar, being forced by her family to marry Witham, a 60-year-old mafia boss that dealt in child trafficking. Willow was standing there thinking of ways to get out of the marriage and already had a plan to contact the London Mafia Syndicate for help once she was wed. As if thinking it would make it happen, just as the priest asked if there were any objections, a gorgeous man surrounded by a dozen armed men, rushed into the church and stopped the wedding. Seemed that the groom owed this man money. He killed Witham, claimed his territory, and carried the bride out of the church as payment for Witham’s debts. Turned out that her mysterious savior/kidnapper was Zane Bethnal, the 42-year-old, grumpy and most violent member of the London Mafia Syndicate. Kidnapping Willow wasn’t part of Zane’s plan, but once he laid his eyes on her, it was love at first sight. Saving her was the catalyst for the beginning of their relationship.

This book was an absolute 5-star read! The story follows Willow, who was abducted from her arranged marriage by Zane, a mafia kingpin looking to collect a debt owed to him by her groom. What starts as a dark act of revenge turns into an intoxicating, emotional love story full of passion, healing, hope, and a whole lot of spice!
The dynamic between the two main characters is perfection. She’s the delicate bunny who’s never been shown love or care, and he’s the fierce wolf—dangerous to everyone but her. From the moment they meet, their chemistry is instant and electric. He rescues her from an arranged marriage to a man chosen by her cruel brothers and while she’s fiercely independent and hardened by her loveless upbringing, he is soft for her in every possible way and can only think of ways to keep her forever. It’s clear he falls first, and the way he wants to protect and take care of her will melt your heart. Despite his tough exterior, he’s gentle with her, showing her a kind of care she’s never experienced before.
The author does an incredible job balancing the darkness of the mafia world with the emotional depth of their relationship. Their connection feels raw and real, and watching her open up and learn to trust him is as beautiful as it is heartbreaking.
With twists, danger, and sizzling tension, this book kept me hooked from start to finish. You might want to hang on don’t blink and you might want to make sure you are buckled up because this is going to be one crazy ride usual mafia antics betrayal, jealousy, lies, secrets, murder, and throw in a little maybe even a lot of violence while we are at it but also a little love so buckle up 😊! Willow is a hot mess in a good way she is sassy despite being raised with an abusive family who tried their best to beat it out of her, make her the way they wanted her to be, but she refused to be anything but herself and so they set her up in an arranged marriage with a horrible man but it is her way of getting away from her abusive family. Zane sexy as all get out alpha who takes what/who he wants, when he wants, isn’t a man you want on your radar is dangerous, ruthless on a good day, deadly every day, takes one look at our girl and knows she belongs to him so on the day of her wedding he walks in throws her over his shoulder saying this is mine walking out of the church with her. Finding herself in his country’s estate as a guest but what Zane didn’t expect was her sassy remarks, her wittiness keeping him on his toes and the banter between these two will have you laughing out loud. The magnetic pull between these two can’t be ignored it is strong enough to pull us in especially the traps he laid for her without her even seeing them but will she want the freedom he offered, will she get the bookstore she has always dreamed of having, will her family leave her alone or will he have to make them, will he show her what it is like to be loved, cared for, will she accept her over protective man, and has she found her happiness along the way?

About a dozen books ago, I realized Evie Rose was up there as one of my favorite authors, and Seized by the Mafia King doesn’t disappoint. From the first sentence/scene, I was gripped. Here we have a mafia princess forced to marry the man of nightmares. Legit. Not even a perceived one, you know? In comes her knight-in-shining armor… not quite, but I’d take Zane any day… is that terrible?
This story checks all my boxes: age gap, captor/captive, touch (insult) her and die, instalove, he falls first, mafia princess/kingpin. Love me an older character obsessed with the younger one, and when they try to fight it but fail is just *chef’s kiss* I cannot get enough.
Character wise, I adored Willow. Though she’s been pushed down and beaten, she’s still has sassy and a backbones, which only shines brighter the longer she’s with Zane. As to Zane. Sigh. What’s there to say about someone who knows what the want and goes after it (in fiction mostly lol) and don’t even get me started on how he protects what is his; Willow, his territory. I mean, c’mon, those tattoos! And the tension between them was just perfect. Also, LOVED that we got to see some London Maths Club!
Story wise, loved how the Maldon and Witham came to completion while our characters were coming together. And loved the name drop of the Essex Virgin Auction! Heheh
All in all, another 5-star read for me. I am a fan for life. Would recommend for anyone who loves a mafia romance where he falls first and would do anything for her.

Seized by the Mafia King is a five stars sinfully delicious insta love mafia romance and Evie Rose is killing it . Zane and Willow's story has it all - the suspense, the action, the witty banter, the insta love with undeniable attraction and toe curling sizzling hot chemistry . Those two will overheat your Kindles. Zane is the wedding crusher who steels the bride. Willow is the bride in an arranged marriage that needs saving. And if the much needed saving doesn't happen she has a back up plan. Then the wedding crusher steels her plan and leaves with her over his shoulder. Yep, that's right. They both are attracted to each other but quite a few obstacles make it interesting but not difficult between them. The age gap and the mafia rivalry are messing with them and in order to keep her Zane makes a deal with her. That dangerous mafia kingpin was so sweet and swoony but only for her . Zane freed his mafia princess of her family obligations and gave her the choices she never had before. That insta love romance takes place in a twenty four hours but is so eventful. And so funny you wouldn't believe it. That epilogue and the bonus were a chef's kiss. So if you need a fast and steamy insta love romance with a lot of banter don't look any further because Seized by the Mafia King has it all in spades and is the right read for you. Now I need to read all the other books in this series. Just because.

Seized by the Mafia King is everything I wanted in a book. Rose writes a book that is steamy and romantic, but also smart and witty. Zane and Willow are the perfect Instalove couple. He falls first (and harder) and cuts through the Gordian Knot that is English Mafia politics by a well-placed shot and carrying her off from the altar where she was about to marry an absolute weasel of a man. Intrigued? I was, and I am so glad that I gave in to my ever-present curiosity (I *am* a cat, after all). My curiosity was absolutely satisfied, along with my need for an excellent kindle book, and I am currently cuddled up with it, purring and murmuring “my preciousss”.

It's a simple thing, but another first. This girl is all of them for me. Every emotion, all the tender moment I hadn't realized I was missing.
This was a sweet and spicy romance with an innocent Mafia princess who dreams of a simple life full of love and books and a Mafia King who takes one look at her and becomes obsessed with making her his.
Willow and Zane were adorable but Zane almost stole the show for me! He was head over heels for her and the way he called her little bunny & sweet girl *swoon* Seriously, sometimes I just need a strong, alpha male turning into a love sick fool for his lady to have me totally hooked. I loved how he treated her, his inner dialogue and his mouth should come with a warning label!
The way he bargained for all her "firsts" knowing full well he would be her one and only! I gobbled this story from page one and I'm still feeling the high of this one.
This isn't a dark romance but rather a sexy insta-love romance with some dark elements to it. After all, you can't have a Mafia King without a little danger and violence!
