I have the career I’ve always dreamed of – but what if love is the price for it?
Lily After a trip from hell I’m looking forward to a meeting new and old friends at a the music business conference in Tokyo. The only downside? Adam Walker. Annoyingly handsome and charming, he weasels his way from distant acquaintance to friend… and then more. Being with him reminds me that there’s more to life than my job – but what if being with him threatens everything I’ve worked so hard for?
Adam Ever since our parents died, I’ve been the head of the family; keeping the company they created running and raising my siblings. With my youngest sister at college, I thought all the voices demanding attention would subside and I could finally breathe again. Instead, I find myself drowning. But Lily? She breaks through the noise and pulls me to the surface. She’s fierce like a current and before I know it, she’s the one keeping me afloat .
She might be my rival but what if she could be more?
Summer Haze & Tokyo Craze is a low-angst CEO x CEO, rivals to lovers romance with a curvy fmc and stoic mmc. While it is book 1 in the Walker Brothers series, it can be read as standalone, although the other books will provide further context.
I could not stop reading and the urge to travel to Japan has only grown. The instant chemistry/tension between Adam and Lily was everything. CEO rivals that can’t take their eyes off of one another. You have Adam, the cheeky and handsome CEO of Croney and Lily, the strong and sassy CEO of Siren’s Talent. When they head to a conference in Tokyo, Adam can’t help but creep around Lily because he’s smitten.
Lily is such a relatable character. A strong FMC that’s a coffee addict and so so sassy. Honorable mention that her love for some fairytale land (irl - iykyk 🏰) and would love to have a prince sweep her off her feet. I instantly fell in love with her and Adam and were rooting for them the whole time.
Such a cute romcom read. It felt like I was in Tokyo along side Lily and Adam and I loved every moment. It’s giving hallmark spice and I’m here for it.
Read if you like: 🍜 rivals to lovers 🏰 forbidden romance 🎡 curvy badass FMC ☕️ travel vibes 🍜 CEO x CEO 🏰 lots of banter
This book was such a fun and cute book to read. After reading The Siren's duet books I was very curious about the Walker brothers, and now they are getting their own books starting this one with Adam Walker! I loved the chemistry between Adam and Lily, the banter between them had me laughing so many times. And the spice was hot 🔥
I loved the way Hailey literally took the reader on a massive trip through Tokyo, she did such an amazing job describing everything and really did extra with how it all came together on paper. I felt like I was walking along with Lily and Adam in Tokyo.
I can't wait for the other Walker brother books to read and see on which adventures they will take us.
Thank you Hailey Frost for this ARC to read and review.
This book is cute if not cuter than Hailey’s other series Sirens Heart & Sirens Game! I absolutely love Hailey’s writing style and I love her characters! The banter and the love between her characters are amazing and well written! Plus the spice…girlllll it was so good! I loved Adam 😍
-Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I’m usually a fantasy girly but sometimes a nice romance is needed. The only issue I had with the plot and storyline of this book is that it felt like the first half of the book is the two characters getting together, which was really cute and I was all for it. But the second half was only smut and them sleeping together whenever they got the chance, with the last few chapters problem solving. I wish that the smut section was shorter and that there was more build up or development rather than just sex.
-I really liked the characters. Despite it being a standalone, so not knowing that much about the characters, I still really liked them and really rooted for their relationship. The side characters were also really fun and I loved being able to see characters of the Siren’s duet and seeing all the links towards each character. Other than that, I felt like they were kind of being overdramatic over the whole situation but I guess that is just fiction.
-The ending kind of relates back towards the fact that I felt like the characters were being a bit overdramatic over the gravity of the situation. It was an ending that is kind of predictable hence it being a fluffy yet spicy romance book.
Hailey Frost has done a wonderful job with her new book Summer Haze & Tokyo Craze. We see a couple of familiar faces from her previous books Siren's Heart and Siren's Game. It was great to see the connections and relationships between all of the characters mentioned.
This book tells the story of Lily and Adam, plus their adventures around Tokyo while attending a music business conference. Although reluctant at first to have Adam accompany her on excursions, it proves to be a saving factor for both characters showing them there is more to life then just working around the clock. Can they save each other from the craziness of the business and be more then the "rival" they first saw in each other?
Summer Haze & Tokyo Craze is packed full of romance, heat and adventure! It can be read as is but is better when read in chronological order to learn more about all the characters. This book also serves as an introduction into the Walker Brothers series.
This was a great book! Could not put it down! I loved all the adventure with the characters traveling throughout Tokyo. The writing was done very well. The reader can feel the connection between both Lily and Adam and everything in-between. It was a great read and I highly recommend this book! Can't wait for the next one in the series!
This was a cute and spicy read. In this series, we follow the Walker brothers, first introduced in the Sirens Duet. In this book, we meet Adam, the eldest Walker brother, and Lily. Both are rivals, striving to be the best in the entertainment industry.
I enjoyed the characters and how their relationship developed throughout the book. Initially, there’s tension between them due to their work, but it gradually gives way to deeper feelings as they spend more time together.
Adam had to grow up quickly after losing his parents as a teenager, so it was heartwarming to see him experience simple joys, like going to an amusement park for the first time or relaxing without a strict schedule, all thanks to Lily.
I loved the Tokyo setting. It was beautifully depicted, and I enjoyed learning more about the culture and traditions, which made me want to visit.
While I liked the book, I did feel there was very little angst. The "small problem" the characters faced was resolved too quickly, and I was left wanting a bit more conflict. At one point, I found myself more interested in the dynamic between Adam and Jackson than the main storyline.
I also appreciated the dual POV format, which provided deeper insight into both characters. Overall, I’m excited to see where the rest of the series takes us!
Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read this arc in exchange for an honest review.
Lilly is the CEO to Sirens Talent Managemt, and she’s going to Tokyo to attend a conference to make their talent company the best it can be. But first she needs to get on a plane after a ticket mishap. While on the plane she runs into the rival (& very sexy) CEO of Croney; Adam.
Away from eyes of the ones closest to them, Adam & Lilly go on some cute day dates & explore Japanese culture. But as soon as the private jet lands back in America everything between them stops. Because Lilly’s career is number 1.
What will Adam do to secure his girl? And will their contracts even allow these two rivals to be a couple..?
📚 Contemporary Romance 📚 Forbidden 📚 Rivals to Lovers 📚 Banter 📚 1st Book in Series 📚 Dual POV
Hailey Frost you never disappoint me! We got newest member of our Sirens group; Lilly and she was the spunk we never knew we needed. A strong minded woman who won’t let a man get in the way of the career she worked too hard to be successful at. & our down for any date Adam who went to all the lengths to secure his girl. Swooooon 😍
3.5 ☆ this was super cute! i absolutely loved the tokyo setting :) hailey did a great job at immersing the readers into this city - from taking us to shibuya, harajuku, hachiko statue to describing the japanese culture, it felt like i was there. i even loved how we saw how the orderly train system was and the peacefulness inside the carts. and you can’t miss the obligatory convenience store runs <3 having majored in music business and gone to tokyo to learn about the industry, it was so great to relearn all the fun facts of the business in japan. i liked how it touched upon how it’s like being a woman in the music business where it’s so male dominated. with all that being said, i wish i felt more invested in adam and lilly’s relationship… if i’m being honest, i was slightly creeped out with adam showing up everywhere lilly was and felt like he doesn’t know how to read the room, which made some scenes super awkward. i enjoyed the slow burn in the beginning but felt like there wasn’t enough tension or build up to the first kiss.
OMG! To say I was excited for this book was an understatement especially after the Siren’s Duet series!
For what reason you might ask… The Walker Brothers of course! Adam was always going to be an intriguing one from the get go & you might think this book is about him but it really wasn’t and I think that is what I liked even more. The FMC resonated with me amazingly! I couldn’t wait to read more about her & discover how her character comes to life.
I will say the only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is I felt something was missing between Adam and his brothers that just didn’t sit finished. I think that definitely could have been explored a little more with Adam as I felt a conversation ended on a not so closed note. (Between Jackson & Adam) this might be explored later on in another story, but definitely felt Adam’s opinion on this might have been worth putting into his story.
Hailey has does an amazing job yet again with her characters and letting you live vicariously through her story as if you were there with them.
Summer Haze & Tokyo Craze by Hailey Frost is the first book in the Walker Brothers series. I was so excited that the Walker brothers were getting their own books. I loved them since they appeared in Siren’s Duet series. I really enjoyed this story. I only wish it was longer. I think the plot was good but I think the end was rushed a tad. But I still really loved this book. I am looking forward to the next book in this series!
Lily was intelligent and bubbly! I really loved her character. Watching Adam’s stoic exterior melt for Lily was sweet. I loved how they both complimented each other. They were such a cute couple and I loved the banter. I also loved seeing Kayla and Millie. Adam going out of his way to make sure that him and Lily can date was adorable. The spice in this book was also well written. Overall, I thought this was a cozy, cute, rivals to lovers romance.
Hailey Frost is one of my favorite contemporary romance indie authors.
"Summer Haze & Tokyo Craze" was the perfect palette cleanser for all of my dark romances lately. As if I didn't need more book boyfriends, Hailey introduced Adam Walker and it was all over for me at that moment. She really takes her time with molding the PERFECT book boyfriend with every single book she writes. I loved the natural chemistry between Adam and Lily. They could be seen as enemies since they're CEOS of opposing companies, but all bets are off when the spice starts happening. I say it would be a 3 on the spice scale. Not straight smut but still tasteful to add to their connection and storyline. They gave me more of a cinnamon roll/golden retriever vibes. As always, it was a super cute read & I can not wait to meet more Walker brothers! :)
Summer Haze & Tokyo Craze is a cute, sweet, slow burn story.

Lily and Adam are rival CEOs who get to know each other better at a conference in Tokyo. Sparks fly, and they decided to be tourist together. I enjoyed their story, and it's a beautiful ending.
Hailey does a great job at character and world building. I'm happy we are getting the Walker brother's stories. I can't wait for the next!
ARC REVIEW 🌸I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.🌸
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️
This is the first book from the Walker Brothers and it was absolutely adorable! 🥹 The chemistry between Adam and Lily was off the charts. Their bantering was just hilarious. The sweetness will give you butterflies and have you swooning. The spice will have you blushing. And lastly, the Tokyo trip and the information about the culture in Japan was truly well written. The way that their Tokyo trip was written just wants you to pack your bags and go on an adventure yourself. 😆
Overall, Hailey Frost added another great read to my romance stack. I cannot wait for the next Walker brother book 💕.
I loved this book, a great start to the Walker brothers spin off. We are following Lily, the CEO of the Siren’s talent company and Adam the CEO of his company as they both go to a conference in Tokyo. Adam falls first, and hard, and wants whatever he can get from his time in her proximity even if he has to insert himself in the situation. Their banter is great and humorous. They are great together, with a great connection. I’m looking forward to seeing what the other brothers are up to as well.
🇯🇵 Rivals to lovers 🇯🇵 Badass curvy FMC 🇯🇵 CEO x CEO 🇯🇵 Forbidden 🇯🇵 Workplace 🇯🇵 Forced proximity
This was a really cute fluffy read and easy on the old grey matter, which I appreciated after some heavy reads this week. I loved the fact this was set in Japan, it made for a different vibe which I adored.
I liked Lily and Adam as characters but found them to be a little be dramatic at times, not usually my bag.
Overall this was a good simple contemporary romance read that cleared out my head.
I went into this book not realizing it is connected to the Siren’s duet, so that was a fun surprise! This book takes us to the Walker brothers and the oldest (Adam) finding love in Tokyo with Lily. As rival talent companies, this is not quite enemies to lovers but is definitely a taboo relationship. There is secrecy, spice, and fun adventures in Tokyo as they fall in love and eventually find their way past the obstacles to be able to be with one another. Excellent read, and now I can’t wait for the rest of the brothers to get stories.
"Finally, I’ve found someone who makes me feel whole, someone who accepts my quips. Someone I have amazing chemistry with, in bed and out of it."
The book is about Lily the CEO from Siren's Talent, Millie and Kayla's company (from the Siren's Duet) and Adam Walker, from the Walker brothers in the same duet. Adam is the CEO from Croney the rival's company. They both go to Tokyo for conferences.
It's light and soft. It's really cutesy. The author has a young adult style of writing, but with spice.
I really liked that it was simple, but heartbreaking. That the main character has a hard decision to make, but that we didn't go through 2 break ups and lots of twists and turns. I really appreciated that it was a happy ending. I finished it in 3 days.
Really recommend this author, I can't wait to read the other 3 books in the Walker Brothers series.
Tropes : - Rivals to lovers - Secret - HAYTMTTBASOMF - Tokyo vibe - CEO X CEO
Summer Haze & Tokyo Craze is a feel good rivals to lovers story between Adam and Lily, both CEO's of rival companies. Don't let the sweet pastel artwork on the cover fool you. These two main characters get down and dirty 😳 I absolutely did NOT expect Lily to have that much of a naughty side to her 😅
Adam is first introduced in Hailey Frost's previous duet which I highly recommend reading prior. He is the oldest and the caretaker of his siblings. He is incredibly selfless, always putting his siblings needs before his own. While spending more and more time with Lily, he slowly learns to put himself first and fight for what he loves. I'm excited to see how his relationship with his siblings progress throughout the series.
Lily is hilarious. She is ambitious, caring, witty, and knows exactly what she wants. She fought her way to the top of her career. She begrudgingly allows Adam to tag along on her adventures throughout Tokyo. Slowly but surely she allows herself to fall for him. It was great learning more about Tokyo and getting a glimpse in to Japanese culture.
Overall, Summer Haze & Tokyo Craze is a cute and spicy dual POV love story with low-angst, silly moments, and lots of adventure. I will definitely be continuing the Walker Brothers series as they are released!
*Thank you to the author, Hailey Frost, for an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
The fact that it was more her than him that was scared to go official, and he was anxious for her to be his, for real. I loved his brothers wanting to meet her, how she got him to be less uptight, how he got her to live for her and not what others thought of her career. I loved all the little things that were done to either ignore the budding feelings or explore the growing relationship that wasn't a relationship. I loved Felix and Barbara. They were definitely the best secretaries we could ask for.
I love a book that takes you on a journey (literally). Hailey did so good with the journey around Tokyo that I could really picture it. I enjoyed the Walker Brothers in the Siren's duet and I'm so excited to see each one in their own book. This was a cute, quick read for me but it was thoroughly enjoyable! Adam and Lily are climbing up the ranks for my favorite couple in this universe! They compliment each other so well and I enjoyed them on their own too!
This was such a fun read! Lily is a great, bright character that I really enjoyed watching fall in love. The setting was basically a character itself and created a unique feel to the story. Although I wasn't sure if I was going to love a book about one of the Walker brothers, I am now fully invested and will be reading all of the ones that come after this! Definitely a book I would recommend!
Ever since I read the Siren’s series, I have been waiting for the Walker boys’ books and I’m so glad Adam’s story is first! He and Lily have amazing chemistry and I love that the book took place in Tokyo. It was great learning about a different culture while reading this book. I can’t wait for the next in this series!
This honestly felt like I was taken on a personal journey through Japan and I loved it! The witty banter between the two of them was the perfect touch. The scenery was amazingly descriptive, it felt so easy to actually imagine all of it. Such a cute and fun read and it further increases my own desire to visit Japan.
I received an advanced copy, and this is my honest review.
I love all of Haileys' work, but I swear each story just gets better and better. These are one sitting reads for me. Once started, I can not put them down. Sweet, low angst with all the sweet build-up to the spice. This is a slower burn, but it is done so beautifully. The character development is amazing. Since being introduced to the walker brothers in previous books, I was itching for them to get their own stories and the met and exceeded my expectations. This story brought Tokyo to life for me, and it's not somewhere I have ever been, but it is now 100 percent on my list of places to visit. Adam is such a sweet heart. Total cinnamon roll mmc with a slight dominant side. Total book boyfriend material!
This was such an adorable, heartwarming story! I loved how Adam was smitten from the start, following her around and getting all flustered whenever someone brought up his crush. Lily was such a strong, amazing character, and it was so sweet to watch her fall in love too.
This book was such a cute, fun read. I loved that the book was set in Tokyo, it made me want to visit one day. I did find the FMC a tad bratty but she grew on me as the book went. I don’t see how I’m going to like any other walker brother, Adam is 😍
This book is perfect escapism! I loved getting lost in this book. Lily and Adam are funny, quirky, and know what they want. The setting of Tokyo makes this book magical Romantic Comedy!
Hailey Frost is still a newish author for me and I’m really enjoying her writing style so far. I enjoyed the slow burn aspect. I can’t wait to read what’s next from Hailey.
I LOVED this book so much! Forbidden love takes on Tokyo. The experiences the main characters shared in Tokyo were extremely relatable and also hilarious (I love theme parks so huge shoutout for that scene)! I adore Hailey as an author, her books are relatable to real life scenarios and the challenges people face. Hailey writes the story of Adam & Lily so beautifully in the situations they overcome in their relationship to be happy, the banter these characters share and Lily’s strong personality to do what’s right for her as a high ranking female is something relatable to myself, it made the story extremely personal for me & I overly enjoyed it.
