amazing resource.

This book is a go to resource of building a foundation in German. It goes through the structure of the language and continues to build a stronger understanding of the nuances of German just like other languages. The stories are a nice touch to put it all together.

A Good Looking Book With a Goal to Aim For!

I can see that this book will help me to pick up German. I like the structure of the book and particularly the short stiroes towards the end. I shall look forward to the time I’ll be able to tackle those and it gives me something to aim for.

pretty good

The guide was extremely helpful as far as the written pronunciations for someone who is beyond auditory learner. The short stories were great exercises but the examples given had the formal and informal sentences mixed up. Du is informal, where Sie is formal.

DIY ready

If you're willing to practice, this is a decent DIY approach to learning German. I'm using it to refresh my German after years of nonuse.

I appreciated how the author laid out the different parts of this book. The phrases were particularly helpful and the stories were very interesting. I liked the quick multiple choice challenges in the backs of each chapter and the quick charts/tables showing the alphabet, numbers, et cetera. This is a great book for those of you interested in possibly learning German. The book can be supplemented with additional resources that go into greater detail.
