A quick and easily read mystery. This one is a little different in the fact that the murder(s) took place 20 years ago. It's a cold case the Private Investigator Georgiana Germaine's dad & step father had worked on, so she has a special connection to it, even if she otherwise has no ties to the victims or suspects. The book itself starts off like they all do... first chapter taken from the victims POV. There are several suspects whom all have good motives. It's an interesting case and the book as a whole is well written. No unnecessary fluff. Safe for teens and up. There is mention of physical abuse and bullying. My only complaint, is that I'd like to see more on the personal front when it comes to the detective, and her relationships. We do get some, and without spoiling anything, I wish there were follow up conversations had after the case was solved. The ending felt slightly rushed, but I really enjoyed the book.
