Gorgeous book, I love the aesthetic and I want more! I annotated a lot and some of the lines made me emotional, but overall I think I'll forget about it quickly.
« I worry about running out of space Your passive to my agressive, silence has never been this loud and clear »
« Or a day you see me in the street and hope I don't see you back»
« You can stay to watch me fall apart if you'd like »
This is a work of art from a human who I happen to know is also a masterpiece herself and an aura of raw talent(s—plural). I pre-ordered the limited edition cover of Venus in Pisces and feel so lucky to own a personalized copy from Kiara as she’s been an internet friend and supporter of mine for years 🫶🏼 Not only is this book self-published and designed (and completely hand-typed on her typewriter!) and beautiful at that, but I found myself rereading so many lines and going back to the poems and letters that are all so clearly from the reaches of the heart. This will be on display and in easy reach in my home for sure.
this book resonated deeply with me. it spoke not only to the healed version of myself, but also to my younger self, who deeply loved a girl and couldn't find the words for this relationship
thanks kiara for sending me this beautiful part of you <3
As the author, I’m entirely biased … however, I would say that this book is a raw and vulnerable portait of a young woman in her 20s loving and loving and loving, continuing to turn her heartbreak into art, and constantly evolving into someone new. It is an ode to the words left unspoken. It is the quiet watching and observing. It is the loud love nobody sees, only it’s been laid out and bared on every page.
Thank you for these poems so well written and so simple at the same time. It felt like my own thoughts were put onto words and I'm kind of feeling relived. My sister was sent this book and she told me to read it, I'm waiting for more now !
Wow, I loved this book so much! I can’t wait to read it again. The authors mind is brilliant, raw, and beautiful. I greatly enjoyed this collection of poems. Here is my review in emojis: 🙃🥺😁😏💗😊☺️🥰‼️
A stunning collection that beautifully captures a poet’s growth, both in craft and in heart. Through a timeline that unfolds like an open wound and a well of reflection, Blanchette reveals her deepest thoughts with raw vulnerability. Themes of stopping and starting intertwine with cycles of destruction and the search for empty spaces—both those left behind and those deliberately sought out. Masterfully self-aware, this collection serves as a confessional exploration of romance, sensuality, absence, and longing.
