Evaline Manor thought her need for vengeance was unmatched, but Vasier Vicor’s thirst for revenge puts her to shame. Holding onto hate for eight hundred years has made him cruel and unflinching when it comes to getting what he wants. And the next step is to get his hands on her.
She’s on a mission to save her mate and leaves the safety of her kingdom to do so with one condition: do not deviate from the plan.
But sometimes, the pursuit of love forces you to veer off course.
After finding herself in the hands of a man who hates her and almost everyone else, she must do whatever she can to stop his evil plan from within the walls of his own castle, to protect everyone she loves.
The Gods cursed her with a fate to end him, after all.
All the while, Maddox Vicor is fighting to get back to her with the help of his friends and family as war with Vasier brews on the horizon. Even if Kovarrin refuses to believe that battle is impending, the heart of Rominia is beating out of its cage.
With a new point of view and higher stakes, this epic conclusion to the Fated Creations series dives into love and loss, and hatred and forgiveness, as it explores the complexities of relationships between families, friends, lovers, and brothers.
Action-packed and overflowing with emotion, Sewn & Scarred closes the Fated Creations trilogy with one final message:
Some of the deepest felt pains and the hardest fought battles are made up of an army of one.
Sewn & Scarred, the epic conclusion to the Fated Creations Trilogy, was everything I could hope for. It was a little longer than I expected, but I loved how this trilogy finally came together!
pre-review; the way i just screamed when I looked at my email!! just got an ARC of this ty Samantha♡
SAMANTHA!!! The author you are!! I truly cannot recommend this series / book more. It has vampire type characters, emotional themes, bad ass female characters, amazing plot/ story telling, & sexy times… what more could a girl want?? This book/ whole series ripped my heart out and put it back together. At first the page count was daunting, and then when I finished it I needed more. This was the perfect ending to the story. The way the whole story unfolded, the character development, the relationships, & the truths that came out were top tier I laughed, cried, and couldn’t put this down. READ IT ASAP😭🫶🏼🧛♀️
I received an advanced copy and this is my honest review✨🥹❤️🩹
I hate to say 2 stars, but the more I think about it 3 just feels dishonest.
Oof. We did not stick the landing, folks. In fact, we missed the mat and twisted our ankle.
I say this all the time - I have never had to end a series, so I try not to judge too harshly. I am sure it feels impossible and like no ending is "right". What I will say about this as that, for a final book, it was mainly fluff. Did the author rush to wrap up this series? Did she just not have a full-enough plot for three books? I don't know, but there was hardly any addition in development of the plot or characters. Even when there were high stakes involved, it felt like everything happened in such slow-motion that nothing bad ever really did happen - does that make sense? Just another example of making you think everyone is doomed, but, alas, they are gonna be just fine.
I felt like we spent too much time in side characters' POV's. Don't get me wrong, I like Wyatt but his chapters were basically just him recounting his feelings over and over. Sage's POV addition was also unnecessary, as it was, too, mainly an outpouring of feelings. , over and over and over. Also, the odd-paced advancement of her plotline .
Evaline and Maddox's POV got tiresome, too, there was just a constant recounting of things that happened and how they felt and how it affects how they feel now. Ugh. I audibly gagged a few times listening to this. Overall, this book really is just full of eye roll moments with awkward banter and scenes that are just too over the top trying to evoke emotion with no substance for it. There doesn't need to be a teary-eyed moment every few minutes just for the sake of having one.
I also did not really take to the handling of trauma in this series. It seems any time anyone is suffering big things, their mate just goes "Don't worry about that," or puts a stop on it and then the other character is fine. That's so disingenuous and not true to how people really handle things. This made me really sour on the fated mates thing because there was no nuance in their relationships, it was just "you are perfect, I am perfect, so we are perfect," - no one really had to fall in love or learn anything about the other person, work through complicated things and strengthen their bonds. It just felt like all they really cared about was just bangin'. That's what the bond is. Sex.
To piggyback off of feelings, I felt like there was a lot of grandiose language in the story that didn't really fit what was happening. I should have marked more examples, but one was just the use of the word "cruel" to people who... just were not cruel. Things felt way over-exaggerated in general.
Contributing to the fluff was the overuse of describing character action. Honestly, there was one point where it was like "She looked up. [Insert dialogue]. She looked down. [Insert dialogue]. She pursed her lips. [Insert dialogue]. She took a deep breath.]" Enough, just... enough. You don't need to tell us every micro-movement in a dialogue scene! Just talk! Sorry, that drove me crazy, it felt like just trying to hit a word count.
The pacing on this book was not great. The first half sort of moves itself right along, but we find ourselves in tense POV's and then idle POV's. There was a lot of sitting around mulling over feelings for a people on the cusp of war. The second half is pretty much just idling, and then you're smacked in the face with the final conflict. Legitimately feels like it comes out of nowhere. The ending is so unsatisfying. It felt like the author tried to throw too many exciting plot devices into one book when really she should have just stuck to what she was building in the first two books. This reads like she had just finished the Throne of Glass series between books 2 and 3 and tried to incorporate a bunch of elements from that story into hers.
Also, I did the audiobook on this and it was... not great. The male narrator's voice is very strange, and the female says everything in a whisper. It was comical to hear her say, "I yelled," at the end of a dialogue that she delivered in breathy tones.
Okay - listen, I am done ragging on it. There was a lot wrong for me, which is a bummer but it is what it is. For a first series, of course this was a huge accomplishment for the author and I hope that she can move forward and only get better.
This was just really unbalanced. There was way too much down time and fluff when they should have been preparing for war. They were all so passive. I get that the First wasn't cooperating, but I really wish they would have defied him. Actions speak louder than words and they didn't take any real action. They simply waited to react. There were also tons of cliches and plot holes. I was either frustrated or bored the whole time.
I liked this one a lot more than the last. The realization that her mother's friend with bennies caused all of this made me chuckle to myself. This book was a lot longer than the others, which seems like there were too many ends the author had to tie up. Overall, I enjoyed this series, but it's one I will never come back to it.
I have never received an ARC before an I was screaming at my husband I got it I got it! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
This books is definitely good as it was the third I was worried it would start to taper off. Luckily that was not the case! I loved the extra depth we got into the characters, it was the perfect amount. I found myself thinking of all the possibilities and contingency’s when I was not actively reading it and definitely kept me wondering about a few things as well as where you were leading us when I was. I LOVED EVERYTHING about this book!
Thank you again for all your hard work that goes into your books. I can say I can definitely see it and can’t wait to see what you do on your next endeavor!
oh man. so many feelings and things to say! i want to start by saying im heartbroken that this series is over! the first two books were everything to me. when i tell you they had me in a chokehold!! this book was just… okay. and it’s devastating to say that! i had such high hopes for this book, and unfortunately it just fell flat for me. i really did not connect with sage at all, so her pov was just incredibly boring. i personally don’t feel like her side that in depth was necessary, and made the book so much longer than it needed to be. going along with that, the first half of this book dragged painfully slow. it felt like it took me ages to get through it, and sadly it was just kind of boring.
BUT - i still loved it. i had such an insane connection to evaline and maddox and watching their story come to a close was so special to me. maddox is just so good in every way, and his devotion to evaline, his return from being a vasi, his grieving for all of his loved ones… he just deserves the whole world.
this is officially the longest review i’ve ever left but i think it was necessary. i hate that this world is coming to a close, because i truly hold it so close to my heart. all in all, amazing story samantha!

3.75 stars (rounded up) for this breathtaking final installment of Maddox and Evaline’s story.
First and foremost, a huge thank you to Samantha and her team for providing an advanced copy of "Sewn & Scarred". This is my honest review:
"The Fated Creations Trilogy" has completely stolen my heart. The final book in the series was everything I hoped for—well-written, thrilling, and romantic, with a deeply satisfying conclusion. The wait for this book was absolutely worth it, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it when it’s released on the 26th.
While this trilogy has come to a close, there are rumors of more standalones, duologies, and other series set in the same universe we’ve all come to love. I’m so excited to see where this world goes next. Huge thanks again to Samantha for sharing Maddox and Evaline’s journey with us. I’m looking forward to Sage and Dean’s story next!
This was the conclusion I didn’t even know I needed.
This book really took a huge jump into the world of politics and war and I was all the way here for it. Everything I felt was missing in book 2 of this series was brought to book three and then some.
I have to say - because I felt it almost constantly throughout this installation - but at some point with Evaline and Maddox, the romance just quit working for me. The chemistry died and I stopped swooning over them. I loved these two so much when there was the push and pull and the tension, and as much as I wanted them to finally be together, they really lost me once it actually happened.
I also felt that maybe it didn’t need to be quite so long. There were times where I felt we were going in circles and big chunks of the book felt more like filler than anything; without anything propelling the plot forward or adding to the characters.
But really, other than those two things, this was a story that I really loved diving into. I loved Evaline’s history. The stories of the firsts, and everything that stemmed simply from a man rejected. While I feel like maybe the characters weren’t as strong as they could have been, the story was solid, the plot was really there, and I really enjoyed my time here.
I received an Advanced Copy of this book and this is my honest review….
What a perfect ending to an amazing story. I have waited so long for this book. I was hooked from the first one. The way Samantha tells the story from different POVs is honestly one of my favorite things when reading. I love to have an insight on what each character is truly thinking and feeling.
A few chapters were touch and go. I was worried I was going to lose some of my favorite characters but in the end it all worked out. Even the most evil came to have love in his heart somewhere.
The way these characters developed makes me feel like I’ve known them personally for years. (I guess I kind of have lol).
If you love enemies to lovers, fated mates, found family… then I highly recommend this book and the whole series.
**I received a advanced copy of this book and this is my honest review** I stumbled on this series randomly scrolling through my kindle recommendations and got hooked instantly. The way Samantha wrote the characters and the world allows you to instantly become immersed and never want to leave. Evaline from book one grew to one of my favorite female characters. In Sewn and Scarred she grows into such a fierce and loving woman. Maddox has a lot to fight through the first half, but he does because like Evaline he is strong and amazing, and his love for her is powerful. This book spends about half with the two of them separated, but once they’re back together, and their core group is back together the way the story progresses to its climax and then folds to its end is one of my absolute favorites. I cried many tears, had many laughs, and truly didn’t want to leave this world or these characters. The note at the end did make me excited though!
First and foremost I want to thank Samantha for allowing me to read an arc of this amazing book, I am so unbelievably lucky.
I want to give this series a huge shoutout for making me think, feel, and for the amazing memories.
I don’t think I’ll read a fantasy series like this again. I have felt and learned so much through each character, I will take these lessons and feelings into the rest of my life.
I will go in depth about how this series is perfectly created in my Instagram post but I will say this last book was absolutely life changing for me.
Loved S&S! I have really enjoyed this trilogy and the characters. One of my favorite reads from the beginning and I could not wait for this one to come out. It's well written, good romance, interesting, and just overall great.
I was so so so excited for this book because I love these characters. It was a great ending, I love the magic in these books. Some parts just felt a little long, but the last 50 pages were fantastic & what I was so excited for on this book
Amazing end to the trilogy! I felt so many emotions while reading. I had a hard time putting down all 3 of these books! Evaline and Sage's character development were so well done. I can't wait for other extensions of the Fated Creations!
Sewn and Scarred is the last of the Fated Creations trilogy by Samantha R. Goode. As all of her other books in the trilogy, it has fated mates, vampire-like characters, sorcery and struggles between the characters. In this book specifically, the struggles are the main point of the plot. There is also betrayal, redemption, unexpected mates and twists you couldn’t possibly expect. I honestly can’t explain the plot without ruining all the amazing, shocking, and mind-blowing plot twists. I can say that character growth is a major player in the plot. Seeing Sage become a main character and how she becomes a stronger person compared to being the weak sorceress under Lauden’s thumb. For standing up to her father and becoming her own woman. Evaline masters her magic and uses it to protect her friends and herself. There is a lot of fighting and bloodshed throughout the story from the Vasi, Kova, Sorcerers, and humans. You learn why the fighting throughout the millennial has occurred and what the Silver myth means. Thankfully the trilogy ends in peace and tears. My favorite thing about this book is all of the plot twists. I was truly shocked and mind-blown the entire time. Especially around the 50% mark. This story makes so many things from previous books make so much more sense and I’m so excited to reread now that I know all of these other things now. I am truly in awe of Samantha’s writing to be able to have the reader go back to the instant they read it the first time in a previous book and have it be completely twisted with this book. My least favorite thing about this book was a plot twist of Sage’s father at the end of the story. The soul-crushing moment for Sage because of that just felt so out of character for her father. I realize that it was meant to be crushing because you realize that Sage was meant to feel isolated to help his plans but it didn’t have to be. It’s great writing, just made me feel personally wronged. Five out of five stars. Marvelous writing, inspiring characters and humor throughout. Definitely recommend this to be your next read! Just be prepared to cry, laugh and binge reading. I may have binged the 862 pages in 3 days…
I received an arc in exchange for an honest review
Holy hell this book. I don’t know if I’ve fully processed everything that happened in this book. It feels like it covered such a longer period of time than it was described. But it doesn’t feel like it’s cluttered or rushed by any means.
I want a short novella that just takes place so many years after the end of this just to know what everyone is up to because I’m simply not ready and I want these characters to have the peace they deserve
Incredible ending to one of my favourite series ever- this world and these characters have me in their palms and will forever live in my mind rent free!
This was an intense read that had me on the edge of my seat throughout- so many twists and turns, dark and happy moments, tears and laughter! I couldn’t ask for anything more, and I’m sooo excited to return to this world in the future!
Ugh. This was the conclusion to the Fated Creations trilogy—and unfortunately, a major disappointment for me.
I genuinely loved the first two books, so I went into this finale with high hopes. What I got instead was a chaotic mess that felt more like filler than a proper conclusion (how is that even possible in a final book?). The plot was packed with buildup and expectations, but everything was resolved so quickly and anticlimactically that it stripped the story of any tension. Every major conflict was resolved in the same chapter it was introduced, often with solutions falling into the characters' laps as if delivered by divine intervention. There was no real struggle, no intense battle, no payoff—and honestly, it made me stop caring about the characters, the plot, or the world.
The pacing was all over the place. Despite being repetitive, the story somehow dragged and gave me whiplash at the same time. I usually devour books like this in a day, especially when they're part of a series I’ve been enjoying, but I had to force myself to read this over three days. That alone says a lot about how disengaged I felt. I had to constantly remind myself to keep reading just to make it to the end. If this hadn’t been the final book, I probably would’ve DNF’d at around 50% and just read a spoiler-filled summary for closure.
The overabundance of POVs didn’t help. It was confusing and unnecessary, and seemed to only serve the development of Sage and Wyott’s relationship. Sage’s POV took up as much space as Evaline’s—Evaline, the main character! It felt like a disservice to her and the overarching story. Sage and Wyott’s arc could have stayed as a side plot without taking up so much page time.
Let’s talk about the romance and spice. The fated mates trope was handled poorly. Instead of exploring emotional growth or a gradual deepening of connection, the couples just instantly clicked, declared eternal love, and everything went smoothly because… fate. There was no nuance, no room for individuality. I would’ve much preferred if fate had acted as a gentle nudge, allowing the characters to still choose each other and earn their bond. And the spice? Cringe. Lines like “I can’t wait for all the foreplay” said out loud mid-scene took me right out of it.
And that ending… yikes. It all wrapped up in one chapter with the gods suddenly showing up, dumping answers, fixing everything, and disappearing again. No build-up, no stakes, no emotional payoff—just a neat little bow tying everything up in the laziest way possible.
Overall, the clunky writing, overcomplicated plot, too-easy resolutions, unnecessary POVs, and erratic pacing made this finale a slog to get through. I found myself counting pages after every chapter, just waiting for it to be over. Sadly, this was not the conclusion this trilogy deserved.
*** I marked this review as having spoilers, but I don’t give away any situational outcomes. I do discuss some of the characters’ traits and positions ***
I was disappointed with this one. The first two books were great! The overall story and world are excellent. It’s a really cool idea for a trilogy. I pre-ordered this book because I enjoyed the first two so much, but this final book was a bummer for me.
Mostly, it felt rushed. The author used a lot of interpersonal drama and introspective feelings rather than plot to fill space in the book. Several really old and experienced characters came across as immature, especially the firsts. Vasier was like a caricature of a bad guy. The things he said made him sound like a middle school boy throwing a tantrum. Kovarrin was so inept at ruling that it went beyond what would ever be seen as acceptable or easily overlooked by his people. Since the bedrock of this trilogy is what happened between these two, their fallout and factions, it definitely took away from the overall story to have them both be so unrealistic and unworthy of their positions. Other characters showed immaturity also, Sage for example. Though it’s easier to overlook Sage’s immaturity, given her age and how she grew up, than it is to overlook the firsts.
There were so many big to-dos made over stages in relationships, accomplishments and sentimental occasions that it kind of took away from them entirely. I’m not trying to be a Buzzkill, I like happy celebrations in a final book. It was just too much of lovers crying happy tears over this and that.
Finally, it seemed like when it was beneficial to the story for Evangeline to have a close call, she would all of a sudden not be as powerful as she was in other fighting situations. She has all these really cool abilities, but doesn’t always seem to use them. Same with Sage. There were several times when her ability could have been used to save the day more easily, but that’s not the direction the author wanted the story to go, so she just didn’t use it.
While I’m sad about this book, I would read other books published by this author. I really liked the first two as I said, and who knows why this one fell flat? Maybe pressure to have it published by a certain time or something else? The issues with it seem to be related to not taking or having the time to develop a character better or flush out a situation more and using drama to fill space.

🫖 This was the PERFECT way to end this series. Let me tell you, SHE THICC. But omg it keeps you engaged the entire time. The writing was excellent, the characters stayed true to the previous books, and the growth of each characters was incredible to read. This is the final book in the trilogy so make sure you start with Bound & Barbed! (I took a star off because the proofreading/copy/line wasn't great and got a little distracting. That could just be because I'm obnoxious about that stuff though 😂)
I’m bummed. I tore through the first two in this series and was dying for this final installment, but it just felt so…POV heavy. Lots of inside thoughts from the characters just trying to figure out their own feelings rather than the story experiencing any plot. It was tedious and I was really expecting more.
Exactly what you would expect. It hits the spot for any romantasy addicts who need a new series. I will say, the feminine audiobook narrator seems fairly confused. Sometimes it's super obvious who would be saying a sentence but she uses the voice for the other character in the dialog.
