Thunder and Lightning: Little J and Roger Part 4

Rate this book
The ninth day at Camp Walker begins on Monday morning, just after midnight on the dock.
Robin and Jack plan to greet the sunrise and slip back into their tents before anyone else is awake. Sunday night they snuck out of their respective camps to meet for an overnight tryst. They complete their overnight adventure, though not without a surprise. They are able to make it back to their camps undetected, but only just.
It’s the second week at scout camp; everyone will be working on merit badges and advancing to the next rank. Mornings include intramural water polo, where Mark Schaeffer is one of the coaches.
Many stories are in play, making this the most action packed book in the series. Geoff continues his quest to seduce scoutmaster Mark; will he succeed, or settle for his pursuit of Leonard? Will Danny’s plans for Julian proceed smoothly? Will Tom and Nick’s Love Palace remain undiscovered? Will Freddy and Andy’s “tournament” be a success? And will Kurt remain satisfied with Sid? Will Julian and Mark continue to flourish, or will their relationship be tested?
This book continues where The Shooting Gallery left off in both time and action, and in character growth. The theme of love remains dominant, but the environment at Camp Walker is becoming more of a challenge.
One new Alex mentors Clint during an overnight hike for the Backpacking merit badge.
The weather springs a surprise on Wednesday, and an accident at the lake brings Danny unexpected opportunities.
We get a glimpse of the Camp staff and their efficiency and competence. Introducing Harold, the First Aid medic, and Sarge Oliver, the camp Ranger and Quartermaster.
Julian’s skill as an artist continues to develop, and attracts the attention of many, including the Camp Director.
A year and five weeks have passed by since the story began. As usual, there is a synopsis of the first three books attached at the end for those who need to refresh their memory. A descriptive index provides a summary of what happened to each character in the previous three books.
Thunder and Lightning is the fourth novel in a five novel series. Extensive information about the series as well as bonus material is available at the diphra.com and littlejandroger.com websites.
