Las ilustraciones son divinas, cada estilo encaja perfectamente con el personaje de una manera fascinante.

No puedo esperar a conocer más de estos personajes, definitivamente me estaré empezando la C2 a finales de año.

Mis favoritos de este tomo fueron Molly y Caduceus, tanto en historia cómo en arte. (+) Me encantó cómo conectaban con el resto del equipo al final de cada historia y ver el estilo diferente de cada ilustración.

Individual ratings below, but this is a pretty good volume! Will say that the first volume had my 4 favs but i tried not to let that impact this one lmao! I love the Mighty Nein so much ❤️❤️❤️

Molly - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing art, love Molly’s deal, hated the way he was treated when he woke up like it reminded me the “born sexy yesterday” trope ehhhh. Loved molly and yasha <3, LOVE the incorporation of the tarot cards!!!!!

Beau - ⭐️⭐️

Just… not well written. The art style didnt vibe with me and just Beau is so stupid & I don’t like that Tori is older than her & her dad’s motivations were so weird and idk where the problem stems from lmao

Fjord - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Honestly my least fav of the M9 but this was a solid comic, the storytelling was great, amazing art, and the TEETH PART OMFG, this one was just really well done!!!

Caduceus - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I LOVE YOU CADUCEUSSSSSSS OMFG my fav of this volume!!!!!! idk how it ranks in all but OMG that was amazing and i’m such a sucker for characters & stories that center grief/death!!! this was handled beautifully, the story was great and the art is amazing and SERENDIPITY!!!!!!!! I love fate and this made me cry sad and happy tears!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰

The artwork for Molly's story is absolutely stunning. The tarot cards! The colors! The details! I didn't like the artwork for Beau's story, but that's just personal preference, I guess. Loved the deep blue ocean panels in Fjords part. I was impressed with the artwork for Cadeuceus' story. The nature images were so beautiful and it mirrored Cadeuceus' soft, pastel color palette throughout. So well done! I'm looking forward to the origin stories of the campaign 3 characters.

I liked these 4 better than the first! I still think that generally these aren't a good fit for people not already familiar, but it's a fun nostalgic read. I felt like we got more new information here with Mollymauk and Fjord, so that was a pleasant surprise! I also liked the art in all four of these a lot.

I think this origins series is at its best when it really leans into being plot-lite, character-focused, and this quartet really proves that. So much beautiful art in this collection. Especially for Caduceus--those environments were seriously stunning. So lush and yet so haunting. I want to live in one of those panels.
