This is the complete account of the 1894 Hinckley Fire, one of our nation's most devastating forest fires. Over 400 lives were lost and thousands of square miles burned, including Hinckley and other towns. Centennial edition.
This is what has to be the definitive book about the Hinckley Fire of 1894. It covers everything, the places, the people, reasons for the fire, the recovery, it's all here. There are a lot of facts and figures and plenty of photographs, charts and drawings.
This is well researched and written with primary sources. The photographs added much to the text and I will be placing flowers at the Hinckley monument the next time I drive by.
