Adversity is guaranteed. We've all experienced it, and we will continue to experience it. Life is not about our adversity; it is about how we respond to it. Because if we have the correct perspective, we can use adversity to our advantage.
In this story, we look at a high school student in the middle of a difficult season. Like all of us in these moments, he has two he can face it or he can avoid it.
He leans on the wisdom of a well-known story about how cows and bison differ in their response to storms. Cows, sensing fear, turn and run. They want to get to safety but end up stuck in the storm. Bison go into the storm. They still experience it, but endure less of the struggle and hardship.
Into the Storm is a story for all of us on how to handle adversity, build mental toughness, and find strength amid the struggle.
Easy to read narrative that gives the reader a plan to overcome an obstacle. Plans to take it bigger as well. Would have loved some resources to help steps within the plan. Ideas for affirmations, how to prioritize the steps for overcoming the current obstacle. Or how to break it into it's basic components for focus. Again all things that do not take away from the message of the book and philosophy of overcoming.
