This love story between Jamie and Charlie could have been plucked straight from the lives of people that I know. I can honestly say the sequel was just as engaging as the first book. It's hard to accept that sometimes love is not enough or finds us when we are not in a position nurture that love. Jamie and Charlie are granted a second chance. This story walks us through how they navigate their way back to each other despite their fears. I was glad to see the two get their happy ending, though, I wasn't a fan of the end. I recommend this for anyone who likes romance with a dose of realism.
I couldn’t put this down! I read the first and second books very quickly! This story was filled with angst and longing. Yeah there were typos and sometimes the dialogue felt a bit juvenile and repetitive. I still enjoyed it. Jamie’s friendships were nicely depicted. I am happy the relationship worked out. Although, I felt Jamie gave in too easily and would have liked for her to have explored a bit (maybe with the woman from new years eve).
