Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.

In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

Fast and dirty - Willow winters

I've been waiting for willow to do MC for so long, it may only be a novella but damn it's good
It's fast paced and smutty, the chemistry and smexy scenes that are off the charts.

Reclaiming his soulmate- Samantha cole

Reading this made me remember why I love reading BDSM, and also why you shouldn't always believe what you read. It's short and incredibly sexy. I absolutely loved it.

This was a great one for Lydia to include in this anthology! I always really enjoy reading the story of those characters that everyone has loved to hate in the series. To finally see things from their perspective and figure out why they ended up the way they do is so worth the wait. I guess I just love a good redemption arc.

This one was a great read, and although all the other books in this series try to make you hate her, I've always had a soft spot for Erin so I was ready for her to blossom. I was really happy with how her story ended up going!

Fast & Dirty - Willow Winters

Fast & Dirty by Willow winters is a quickie read quick to deliver suspense, mystery, steam, spice and kink. Some of the things that we know and love about our beloved author. It's all packed within these pages, ready and waiting for us to turn them.

As always with a Willow Winters reads--regardless of any length--, you're first and foremost getting a read that itself reads really well. Yes this one is a quick read, but I still didn't feel like I was wading through it to get to the end. Her words are always smooth to read, clear, flowing effortlessly from dialogue to description and back again.

Things kick off with a surge of mystery (I'll leave it there, wink wink), soon catapulting into the steamy as the story kicks up several gears in a short space of time. No complaints here, I loved the speed in which we were taken through the journey of the main characters to where we ended up at the end which I might add, I did not see coming. Again, not a complaint, but instead a very pleasurable surprise not only for our FMC, but for us as readers.

We all say from time to time that we don't want a specific read to end, but I really mean it with this one. I could easily read about Marie, Blake and Maddox for an entire full-length novel or at least, a short story. In fact, I'll go so far as to say that should Willow ever get enough demand or decides to do it off her own back, I would welcome it with open arms. If this is the kind of read that we got in short, imagine the full potential in a short story or full-length read. I know I'm greedy anyway when it comes to Willow, but I know a great thing when I read it and this is one of those things.

If I were to give this quickie anything less than five stars, I would not only be lying to myself but to the sexy content within it.

I loved this anthology! It is loaded with amazing stories with wonderful characters. It has everything you could ask for...

MFM romance, MC romance, second-chance romance, BDSM romance, workplace romance, forced proximity roommate romance, single-mom romance, cowboy romance, ex-boyfriend's brother romance along with mental issues including OCD, physical abuse, stalker...

They cover it all! This anthology is steamy hot from cover to cover and is the perfect way to add some new authors to your reading list. I know I have! They are all amazing!

Highly recommend not only this anthology but all of the authors who contributed their stories.

Then as you read Samantha Cole with a glimpse of our favorite Covenant characters. Don’t forget Heather Slade as she gives a taste of Butler Ranch. This anthology will make you want to dive into more books by these authors!

That very first chapter with Marie had me so intrigued! After that, I was a goner and didn't put it down until I'd finished!
Marie deserves some goodness in her life and who wouldn't appreciate having Blake and Maddox help with that!

Fast and Dirty by Willow Winters

As this book opens your heart will head to your throat as we watch Marie leave the bar, she was supposed to meet her friend Lexi, but Lexi never showed. She's being followed, and she's pretty sure that's not a good thing. Cabs don't come to this neighborhood, and her phone has died.

Blake is following her; he doesn't know why she's walking in those crazy high heels and frankly she's not really safe out here alone. He'd been about to approach her when she left the bar, but his friend Jace just wouldn't stop talking about the shop.

As she's approaching the clubhouse Blake knows he has to make a move and stop her. Unfortunately, that doesn't work out quite the way he anticipates, and she ends up trapped by Maddox the club VP. Blake offers an explanation and really hopes Marie plays along.

A visit inside the club where we meet some very interesting characters. Then things start heating up really quickly and they just don't stop.

Reclaiming His Soulmate by Samantha Cole

Langdon Ford wants a chance to talk to Clarissa. Something she hasn't let him do. He didn't cheat on her and now he finally has the proof.

Having been cheated on once before, there was no stopping Clarissa James the second time it happened. She cut all ties and divorced Langdon. She didn't care that he claimed innocence or that they truly are soulmates, she was done.

She's signed up for the event that nearly got her banned from Covenant when she was paired with Langdon the last time. Now she is being warned by the owners if it happens again, she would definitely be banned forever from all their properties. Little did she know, fate or someone had something else in mind.

Plenty of surprises and sizzling consensual scenes as this story plays out.


No Perfect Beginning by DD Lorenzo

This book opens as Carter and his family take up residence in their beach house. This time the family includes Lacey, and before the week is over, he intends to ask her to marry him. He's sitting on the porch with her and is joined by his brother Declan. Their mother Rose is in the kitchen cooking and refuses any help.

Declan doesn't understand why his mom insists on cooking on vacation, but lets it go. What happens next is very interesting and causes all sorts of problems between the brothers and then Lacey and their mother too.

It seems Declan has invited a fellow model to join them, Marisol Franzi. Marisol is let's say full of herself and while Declan doesn't seem to see it, she's also quite rude.

In the aftermath of that first meeting, Marisol is brought to a hotel and when Declan returns there's a confrontation that has their mother in tears. Not the best ending to their evening.

The next day has Carter reflecting on the previous day's events when he's joined by Lacey.

Rose is keeping a secret from her sons that Lacey inadvertently discovers. It's not going to remain that way though.

Rose also handles Marisol quite expertly, much to Lacey's delight.

This is a story of family, life, love and the importance of communication.

Taking Flight by Michelle Windsor

We meet Chloe as she boards the plane to NY. She's interviewing there for the biggest job of her life. One she's been working toward since her career began. A gentleman helps her stow her bag in the overhead compartment and it turns out they are seated next to each other here in first class. She's never flown first class and intends to take full advantage, by ordering a mimosa. They engage in small talk, and he calls her by name, having noticed it on her boarding pass still in her lap. He introduces himself as Fin.

A bit of fun when the stewardess shamelessly flirts with him, and he grumbles at her. Chloe gets quite the kick out of the cliche and tells him so. She of course has noticed how attractive he is and knows he's wealthy by the watch he's wearing.

She's not a good flyer when it comes to take offs and landings, and Fin helps her through the take off by talking to her during the process. She's going to do some more research for her interview the next day, but Fin talks her into a compromise. Drinks, breakfast and a movie, then he'd drill her with interview questions before they land.

She falls asleep during the movie and he wakes her with plenty of time to help her prepare for her interview.

There is definitely attraction here and when they run into each other again as Chloe heads for the taxi stand, he offers her a ride to her hotel instead.

Things start heating up here, but don't go very far. He's going to wait until after her interview.

I love the way this played out and it was a surprise to learn who Fin really is. I also loved the way Chloe comes to terms with that information and the simmer becomes quite the sizzle.


Roomies by Mimi Flood

As this book opens, we meet Jane as her roommate Gaby tells her she's accepted a new job in Greece and would be moving. Gaby also tells her she's found a roommate for her. It seems her brother's fried Joe needs a place to stay. While Jane isn't happy about having a guy for a roommate, she decides to at least meet him.

Joe is early to meet with Jane and decides to check out the neighborhood first. Gaby had shown him pictures of the apartment, he agreed to move in almost immediately, but he isn't making final decisions until he sees it in person.

After reading the lease Joe signs and then he reads the two-page list of 'rules'. He almost backs out, but the price is right, it's closer to his job and he'll just have to deal with it.

Now there have been a couple of altercations but this one is over milk...

It's funny but all the little nagging things are like foreplay for these two, they just haven't realized it yet.

When they do it's Joe who finds himself admitting it first and things heat up very quickly.

This is a fun read with plenty of laughter and sizzle.


My Funny Valentine by Lydia Michaels

This book opens with a look at Erin's past. Starting with the abuse that has Erin fleeing to the woods and her friend Finn's home. When she returns home her mother is gone. Her father expects her to heat up dinner when she's not familiar with the stove and also informs her she'll need to make the crumb cake for the store every day after school. In other words, she's to replace her mother. Her brother Harrison hasn't been around much since he started middle school. He does however help her salvage that first crumb cake. We learn more about Erin's home life right up until her brother leaves for good but doesn't take Erin with him.

In the present day. Erin is picking up her father's prescription for sleeping pills, his taking them are the only reason she gets any peaceful sleep. While she's waiting, she sees Finn and his children. In light of the predicted blizzard, he asks her to put a shovel aside for him at the hardware store and then invites her to come see the gang at O'Malley's bar that night. It seems his cousin Giovanni is in town and doing standup comedy.

Another altercation with her father, this time at the store over the salt she ordered. Then back at home he argues with her over her going out, followed by kicking her out. Erin has a reputation of being a bitch, and no one likes her. She's never really been nice to anyone, it's a gut reaction to being rejected. Going to O'Malley's even at Finn invitation, was difficult for her. No one realizes she is very happy Finn has Mallory and their children. Giovanni's act has her heckling him and he responds in kind, causing her to leave the bar and hopefully Jasper Falls as well. She ends up crashing her car into a ditch in the blizzard.

Fortunately, Giovanni isn't staying with family, and he spots her car in the ditch on his way to the motel. His rescue turned out not to be much of one after all, as his car wouldn't start after getting Erin out of her car. After spending the night in his car, they manage to walk to the motel. Unable to get a room of her own, Erin is faced with finding a way back to town or staying with Giovanni. With no power there's not much to do, but Giovanni manages to get snacks from vending. They start talking but things go off the rail and Erin tries to leave.

Giovanni convinces her to stay and in spite of themselves, they have a connection. One that would be tested.

Once cell service is restored and the power is back, Giovanni connects with Finn to get his car, and Erin calls an Uber to get home. Her father would be at the store, and she could pack up her things while she waits for the verdict on her car.

Things don't quite go that way, and change happens rapidly. Her brother comes home briefly, and Giovanni brings her food and offers her understanding and more.

There's laughter, tears, romance and sizzling heat as this story works toward a happily ever after.

Brodie's Promise by Heather Slade

When Brodie's Mom tasks him with finding his late brother Kade's girlfriend Peyton, he wasn't looking forward to the task. His mother had made the promise to Kade, and because of that he would find her. Where he actually runs into her is surprising. Of all places he runs into her at the local supermarket. What he didn't expect was her to refuse to accept anything from Kade.

Even her best friend Alex couldn't believe she didn't want any of the memories that would be given to her. The shock of seeing how much Brody looked like Kade was enough in itself.

After that initial run in, Brodie headed to Moonstone beach, a place where he had spent a lot of time with Kade. This time Peyton finds him and apologizes. Yet still refuses to accept what Kade left her.

It seems neither Peyton or Brodie can stop thinking about the other. The question is can this become a relationship?

Peyton has her sons to think of when it comes to introducing a man into her life. Kade's death had affected them just as hard as her.

Aside from Peyton not wanting the box Kade left for her, there is plenty of things going on that are puzzling. Not the least of which is 'Kade' sightings.

Emotional, with laughs and tears and some sizzle as well.

Saving Abby by Ellie Masters

We meet Abby as she's traveling through a blizzard on her way to Peace Springs. She's left Redlands California and the bad situation with Scott behind her. Scott thinks she'll come crawling back to him, but she's never going back. All she has is a Boston Fern and three suitcases to start her new life taking over for her uncle as the town doctor. She has a lot to learn but time is on her side.

She almost hits a moose, but her jeep ends up half covered in a ditch. With no cell service, she layers as much clothing as she can and starts walking, she can't be too far from town.

An hour later still no sign of humanity, and then there's a pack of wolves, a stranger with a rifle, an attack and then with the help of said stranger, a hike to a cabin with an amusing conversation.

Her rescuer is Drake, and the cabin is Bert's and Abby is about to learn much about Peace Springs.

There is an almost primal attraction between her and Drake, and it isn't too very long before they take some action on that. However, it doesn't get very far at least not this time.

Abby is in for more than a few shocks as this story unfolds, some relating to her uncle and others to her ex. All as her relationship with Drake continues to develop.

I loved the way this plays out, there's action, suspense, romance and plenty of sizzle.

Great book for the days you can’t commit to hours of binge reading your way to a HEA.
I also find it’s an ideal way to explore an author’s writing style and what you enjoy most. I’ve personally found a few new-to-me authors that I’ll be exploring more of thanks to Steamy Ever After.

This wonderful collection of short, sexy, steamy stories were perfect for a quick read or for when you are in between books or even for trying a new author and I absolutely devoured them all up!!

My most favourite novella of them all was Roomies by the wonderful Mimi Flood. Joe was gorgeous and definitely knew how to wind Jane up but he also had a sweet, caring side especially when he buys her favourite meal and puts on her favourite 80’s rom com movie to watch with her - oh my heart…

This anthology contained lots of stories from new-to-me authors and i really enjoyed getting to know them all through their wonderful, short and spicy stories!!

Full transparency, I did not finish some of the novellas in this collection. The rating is the average of the reviews below. I used to read stuff I didn't like, but not anymore! This collection is evenly good and bad. The good were excellent, the bad were, well BAD!

☆☆Fast and Dirty - Willow Winters. DNF. More smut than romance.You might like it, I did not.

☆☆Reclaiming His Soulmate - Samantha Cole. DNF. I normally love a good lost love found story. I didn't care for the BDSM elements and quit about a third through.

☆☆ No Perfect Beginning - DD Lorenzo
DNF. I really tried to like this one. The characters were interesting, but hard to like. I could not figure out why anyone would put up with Carter. In the end I couldn't. I lasted about 25%.

☆☆☆ Taking Flight - Michelle Windsor. I actually finished this one. It was well written, but it was short and didn't feel complete.

DNF. They didn't like each other and I didn't like them either. Probably more suited for a new adult. Issues were childish.

Solid 4. Well written. The storyline was emotive. I really liked the interplay between Giovanni and Erin. Learning how Erin ticks and why brought out the hero in Giovanni. A nicely rounded supporting cast tempted me to download the entire Jasper Falls series!

This is my favorite in the group! Yup six stars! I love Brodie! He is tasked with delivering a mysterious box to the woman his older brother Kade was dating before he passed. Peyton is torn, she is starting to feel more for Brodie than she did for Kade. Brodie wants to do right by his brother's memory, but he is drawn to Peyton. Fun twist at the end! This is part of a series. Yup, already downloaded!

This one was fun, action packed and full on emotional. I admit, I shed a few tears on this one! City girl, country boy. Opposites attract!

I've read quite a few books from Willow Winters before but this was just ridiculously bad. Man wants to help a girl, stalks her and then forces himself on her and she lets him after being shook of him? And then the random info about him being a cop and then his friend also wants to claim this girl so they have a threesome? Absolutely none of it made sense whatsoever, they're all weird. Essentially the plot wasn't plotting.

Reclaiming His Soulmate- 4⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was worried when I reading this story since the blurb mentioned Landon cheating but I was glad to find out he hadn't. I liked the simplicity of the story and the club having a special night. I would've loved to get a more in depth last chapter since we had several chapters of her hating him but it was a fast read with a solid story and a sweet ending.

No Perfect Beginning- 3⭐
Simple story with alot of ups and downs. I didn't expect it to end the way it did. I actually wished this was a longer story especially with the way Declan is with Marisol. Also Carter didn't get to ask Declan to be his best man. But honestly the story was extremely sweet besides the mum's issue, but it was sweet either way.

Final Destination - 4⭐
Simple sweet story with characters who just get along straight away. There's some light deception but not anything that is hurtful. I think this is what I expected more of from the series of stories in the book

Roomies - 3.8⭐
Not a complex story. Cute, simple with alot of sexual tension between the two. Ngl, I was expecting more out of the scene where she said his name while *eheming* but I liked how the story went. Especially the he falls first anx hard vibes.


My Funny Valentine - 4⭐
Honestly this book started off EXTREMELY depressing and confusing since it started with her childhood with Finn and her falling for him. Giovanni was rarely mentioned and her despise for him until Finn invited her. (I think it would've made more sense if I read the rest of the Jasper Falls series but only found out that it was a series at the end of the story). But I love both their character development and becoming more open with each other. I will say after reading the book, Finn was never meant for her, what you mean you dated her for YEARS and knew her as a child and knew how she hated her house and didn't connect the dots to realise her dad was abusive?!?!?!? Anyways, Giovanni is a green flag, minus when he had his few mood swings.

Brodie's Promise - 2⭐
Honestly this book was good then just went downhill in so many ways. Like yes it was a bit weird that Brodie was falling for her dead brother's boyfriend but it was sweet and the way Brodie cared for Peyton and her sons was adorable. But the amount of miscommunication, the annoyingness of Peyton breaking up with him every 2 seconds. Then Brodie goes off with his fuck budy(Immediately turned me off)?! And then Peyton hides the pregnancy PLUS Brodie manipulated Peyton into having unprotected sex on purpose like no. This guy is a red flag and Peyton got issues too. Oh yeah, Peyton went on a date practically immediately after one of the break ups too.
Also, I will say that the writing style was extremely confusing. Scenes constantly switched in a single chapter several times and the only way you would know is the first word of the paragraph would be in a slightly bolder font.
I am interested to see if Maddox and Alex have a better storyline but idk if I will read it.

Honestly a sweet story but sad too with not only her ex being abusive but her uncle being extremely unwell from cancer. Drake and Abby's chemistry was adorable and I liked how Drake "read" her.
I did find the ending was rushing a bit and chunks were cut down, I wish there was a proper scene of Abby telling Drake about her ex but she doesn't. I did like the suspense of the ex turning up though.
My only concern is...why does Drake propose the day after her uncle dies?!?!?

They're spicy, sizzling, lusty, romantic, and emotion filled with just the right amount of angst thrown in for good measure. I found stories from a couple of favorite authors, reconnected with one whose work I've read before and discovered new authors. At least one of which I plan on reading the rest of associated series. I think you'll enjoy the time spent reading Steamy Ever After

Ms. Winters cheerfully admits to having fun writing this short smutty, dirty novella. She nailed it. It's a fast paced menage romance with an MC, an undercover operation and a bit of angst thrown in for good measure.

Finding a way to tell Clarissa the truth is non-negotiable even if Landon has to tie her up to make her listen. Welcome back to Covenant.

No Perfect Beginning - DD Lorenzo
What's the old saying? The best laid plans....a perfectly planned family vacation goes awry because of an unexpected guest, family squabbles and a surprising revelation. Ultimately things are smoothed over, ruffled feathers soothed, the inevitable accepted and a new beginning for all.

Taking Flight - Michelle Windsor
A first-class flight to the Big Apple for the job interview of a lifetime, shared drinks with a gorgeous seat mate, lots of chemistry between them and a promised dinner date after the interview to celebrate or commiserate. What a way to start on the road to an HEA.

Roomies - Mimi Flood
Having a new roommate, who's male by the way, thrust upon you with little notice isn't ideal but having to make rent on your own doesn't work either. Joe needs a place to live and Jane needs a roomy. It's a long, slow road to happiness for them both but ultimately they find their forever happiness.

Brodie's Promise - Heather Slade
Sometimes we fall in love with the wrong person at the wrong time. When, in truth, they are a placeholder until the right one comes along. A last request from a dead brother brings Brodie into Peyton's life. He knows she's his "one" but she's reluctant to become entangled in love again. Afterall, she's tried twice; both times unsuccessfully. Yet, she feels more for Brodie than she ever has with any other man. Does she dare take a chance?

Saving Abby - Ellie Masters
Transplanted city girl, Abby Knight's introduction to Peace Springs, Montana includes; a freak May snowstorm, a near collision with a moose, a marauding pack of wolves, a mountain man savior, a trek through the snow and spitting llamas. Meeting Drake, her savior, makes her feel something she hasn't felt in years. Peace.
He maybe a bit rough around the edges but he's a man who knows what he wants and does not hesitate to go after it. What he wants is Abby; his "city girl." People say "when you know, you know" and Drake knows that Abby is his.

Landon is a famous director of movies. Clarissa is a famous actress. They are divorced, but he has to prove to her he never cheated. They both belong to various BDSM clubs, also. They consider each other their soulmates. It was interesting to take the journey with them to see how it all turned out, together and happy again.

No Perfect Beginning – DD Lorenzo
Carter is a cop. Lacey is a school teacher. They been dating for a little over a year after going on a blind date. They are on vacation for a week with his mother and brother in Maryland. He’s going to ask her to marry him this week. Life changes come up and he’s unsettled because he has OCD and his mind works differently in those times as other people’s do. I was curious to see how this all played out. It was written wonderfully.

Taking Flight – Michelle Windsor
Griffin and Chloe’s story starts on an airplane flight. Their connection is undeniable. She’s on her way for an interview of dream job in NY. When they meet again, he is one of the partners at the company she is interviewing at. Their love story will make you swoon.

Roomies – Mimi Flood
Joe and Jane are roommates. They bicker and glare at each other, but their chemistry is off the charts. It’s a slow burn to get to where they want to be with each other. I enjoyed this ride along with them.

My Funny Valentine – Lydia Michaels
Giovanni and Erin’s story is a tearjerker, for sure. She need to love as deeply as the stars loved the sky, but she doesn’t know how. She is hated by most of her little town, including Giovanni whom she went to school with. There is no love lost between them. She’s like she is because her home life with her father is horrific. When they meet again, their circumstances require them to be together, and they find out they are really not mean, that it’s all a cover up. They battle their own demons. It’s story that goes straight to the heart.

Brodie’s Promise – Heather Slade
This is the story of Brodie & Peyton. Brodie Butler is a wine salesman for the Butler Ranch. Peyton works for her dad's winery in what is called Stave, a wine tasting room in Cambria, CA, which is a little village. It also holds other events. Brodie's mother sends Brodie to find Peyton to give her a box of things from Kade, his brother, who died on a mission in Afghanistan. Kade and Peyton were seeing each other at the time of his death. Brodie runs into her by chance in the village where she lives. It was instantaneous, the feelings. Peyton fights it every step of the way, just because Brodie is Kade's brother. Brodie is an open book, while Peyton is just the opposite. Bizarre things happen to both of them during this story. It is intense in so many ways. There is definitely a happy ending, but you have to read it to find out how they got there.

Saving Abby: A Small Town Romantic Suspense Novel – Ellie Masters
Drake and Abbys story is a heartbreaking one in so many ways, for both of them, but the connection between them is instantaneous. They met in a snow storm when she’s almost at her destination of the small town she spent her summers with her aunt and uncle. She meets Dex in the process of all her bad luck that night. This story is steamy and inspirational. I loved every word.

An interesting reading between Marie, Blake, and Maddox. They had an unusual attraction ... even tho blake was undercover the others of the Mc new who he was... lacey left the club and wondered in the wrong direction as blake followed her but before he could react to grab her she went around the corner and ran smak dab into maddox... She and blake tried to play it off as if they were involved but she went took it to far.... great read, chemistry between them all.. a good read ...

Story 2. .... Reclaiming His Soulmate - Samantha Cole (5 stars)
I don't actually recall the names of the characters but their story touched my heart .. when one side never gives the other a chance to explain and doesn't have the TRUST in the one they should .. they spend years apart due to a horrible incident.. I felt so bad for the guy because he Loved and truly was innocent and enjoyed the club owners backing him up and getting her to listen to reason... i also got frustrated with the female character :)


Story 3 .... No Perfect Beginning - DD Lorenzo ( 5 stars )
this is about carter and lacey and how they come to 'KNOW' and see one another .. Carter always had a deep seeded need for order ...Lacey understood him... good read and a wonderful HEA

Story 4.... Taking Flight - Michelle Windsor (5 stars)
This was a truly cute read how he knew who she was and fell for her ... yet she went for an interview and realized HE was her boss...the chemistry was well written.... A fun romance.

Story 5 .... Roomies - Mimi Flood (3 stars)
When jane needs and gets a male room mate .... he's a replacement roommate setup by her bff's friend... who had to move for I think a job ....: Joe Miller. the 2 characters are SO OPPOSITES ... she’s neat, he’s not. He’s charming, and uses that to get his way around Janes frustration. An empty carton of milk in the fridge strikes a last nerve. enjoyable...

Story 6 - my funny valentine - Lydia Michaels (4 stars )

This was a tough read how neglect and abuse can get in someones head and create a lot of heartache..
Erin and Finn were best of friends .. she endured her parents fighting all the time , her brother was older and stayed away a lot so he didn't have to be around it...
Erin's mom left, her brother left, and we find some years later she is the butt of nasty jokes by Giovanni (Finns cousin) and drives away in a snow storm , he finds her and eventually they fall for one another...

Story 7 .... Brodies Promise - Heather Slade (5 stars )

I'm thinking this one was the read about the brother who passed while on active duty, and the younger brother fell in love with the woman.. she had a horrible relationship with her EX who bailed on her with 2 boys... the younger brother did something he felt horrible for and when he told her he was sorry she took it the wrong way.. he left almost die and then eventually We readers get our HEA

Story 8 .... Saving Abby - Ellie Masters ( 5 stars ) should be 10 :)

Drake and Abby meet on a cold blustery road in the middle of the night ..
she crashed to save a moose ... he was out getting rid of wolves.. the vermin lol
She was running away from an abusive relationship and to her Uncle to help with the doctoring of
the little town of Peace Springs... Seems trouble follows as she is opening up to love ... great read ...truly

Has no one ever questioned her obvious defense mechanism?
Brutal and wonderful all at the same time. An absolute stunner. Whew!

*** A Butler Ranch Novel!
The family is adrift when Kade, the oldest son, is killed on his last mission. Single mom Payton was dating him, but refuses to take the “box” he sent posthumously. Brodie is the brother sent to deliver it. He is enamored with Peyton, and wants to help. A heartfelt family and community response, and a lovely message throughout.

I was thrilled that I got to revisit the Covenant, BDSM Club and some of its members in this read. Landon is hoping to have one last chance of proving his innocence to his ex-wife Clarissa and reclaim the future they had previously planned to have as husband and wife. I really liked that the author explained how the BDSM Club worked so any first-time readers of this series wouldn't be lost. Big Kudos to a man like Landon who worked hard to prove himself and was full of forgiveness. Clarissa is one very lucky lady.

No Perfect Beginning by DD Lorenzo

Carter and his wife Lacey are on a family vacation. Carter's brother, Declan brings along a friend and joins the vacation. The story delves into the complications of relationships and their own dynamics within a family. This was a very good read.

Roomies by Mimi Flood

This one gave me almost an Odd Couple's TV series vibe. Roommates that are complete opposites and get under each other's skin. Fun, entertaining read.

My Funny Valentine by Lydia Michaels

Erin's life has shaped her into the person she is now. When Giovanni rescues her from being stranded in a blizzard it doesn't take him look to really "see" Erin. She intrigues him and he works to get beneath her layers. They both make great strides to work through the past to aim for a future together.

Brodie's Promise by Heather Slade

Brodie makes a promise he intends to keep for his dead brother. He's delivering a box to Peyton, who had been dating his brother. Brodie feels an instant attraction, but Peyton is very wary as she's already lost out on love twice. I could actually feel the turmoil that Peyton was dealing with. This one will grab at your heart,

Saving Abby by Ellie Masters

Abby moves to Peace Springs to regroup after an abusive relationship and work as a physician in her uncle's practice. Adjusting to small town living comes with its own set of challenges, No one can say living in Peace Springs is boring. A wonderful small town read with quite a bit of action.

Steamy Ever After is an anthology that offers a fantastic way to discover the writing of eight very different authors. The stories vary from a very short story to full length novels, from standalone to parts of a series and from brand new to re-released. There's something for every romance reader here! I'm basing my rating on my favourites:

Brodie’s Promise by Heather Slade
This is the 1st in the Butler Ranch series and unlike most of Heather's other books, the focus is clearly on romance with only a hint of suspense. Brodie's and Peyton's insta-love story is very emotional, with lots of angst and soul searching, romantic moments and steamy sexy times. All the members of the Butler family as well as interesting side characters who'll have their stories told next are introduced. A great read that perfectly sets the scene for what's to come.

My Funny Valentine by Lydia Michaels
Part of the Jasper Falls series, there is nothing remotely funny about this full-length novel. Instead, it's a realistically portrayed and absolutely heartbreaking story about domestic abuse and how very hard it is to overcome the deep-lying coping mechanisms even after breaking away. Fortunately, Giovanni's and Erin's story comes to a very satisfying and uplifting conclusion. My hat's off to Lydia for braving this very heavy subject and leaving us with a sense of hope. While characters from previous books in the series have cameo appearances, it can easily be read as a standalone.

Reclaiming His Soulmate by Samantha Cole
This slightly kinky novella was written for this collection and is not available elsewhere. It takes us back to The Covenant, an exclusive BDSM club linked to Samantha's Trident Security series. We catch glimpses of familiar characters, but the second chance at love story can easily be read and enjoyed on its own and has a wonderful HEA.

SAVING ABBY by Ellie Masters
This is the 6th book in the The One I Want series, but can be read as a standalone. Abby and Drake make a wonderful couple and their story is full of touching and emotional moments - both of the sad as well as the sweet variety. There is also quite a bit of steam, some suspense and a satisfying HEA.

Taking flight by miche windsor follows griffin and  chloe when they meet on a flight and they develop connection and then the next day chloe is offered a job and the company griffin works for and follows them from the story which was steamy and instant connected
Roomies by mimi flood follows jane and joe who are roomates who despise each other who have sizzling tension. Follows them through this journey. Love Jane and joe and their story.

Mr funny valentine by lydia Michaels follows Giovanni and Erin who grown up in the same town and when giovanni comes back town for comedy gig. Their worlds collides. The story is heartwarming story and erin has amazing character growth after hard life. I loved their story
Brodies promise by heather slade follows brodie and peyton. When brodie has give peyton something her dead boyfriend his brother. When sparks fly between brodie and peyton. This story was heartwarming and steamy and suspense had be reading in few hours in one go. As writing was so good it keeping you reading. The relationship between brodie and peyton was so good and seeing develop.
Saving abby by ellie masters
Follows drake and abby  in small town romance.
When drake saves abby  when she comes to town escape her old life and takes her to bert  illama farm to give her a place to stay for night. When drake and abby begin to connect and this story follows them. I loved this small town romance love how the connection was instant how it began to grow. This antalogy of short stories is amazing with wider range of different kind of romances to keep you reading.

A cool way to interview for a new job. Sparks fly upon first meeting and they don’t stop even after that.


Roomies - Mimi Flood
Two people that can’t get along, that is sexual tension. A quick read about Joe and Jane.


My Funny Valentine - Lydia Michaels
Master Chef. This is a more in-depth story of Erin and Giovanni. Would not have put them together but they fit perfectly. “All the way” was their saying as well as this is our song. Loved the thrift shopping and dinner out, then the drive thru. A lot of emotions get through and patience to deal with them by the other partner. A true love story.


Brodies Promise - Heather Slade
This story was full of emotion, almost a star crossed lovers story but one that was meant to be. Badass and beautiful, strong and true. This is the first story in the Butler Ranch and it sets the stage very well for the next books in the series. His family is truly amazing.


Saving Abby - Ellie Masters
Always a great read with this author. Insta Love in this book, and it's wonderful to read the one person's point of view as they are figuring out what they are feeling, as well, the other so sure and acting on it. Totally loved the open book analogy, really well thought out and described. I'll remember that for a long time, page one and a long book. It's amazing what a small town atmosphere can do for folks, happier, warmer and open. Field drive-inns and pinching body parts and most importantly Boston is going to survive. Highly recommend.

As a whole, this entire anthology was quite enjoyable full of steam and chemistry and a ton of hotness and wonderful characters. We got to explore new authors that we never read before so we loved that the most finding new authors and reading their works which led to checking out their other books.

Some of our favorite stories were Willow Winters and Lydia Michaels Willows' story had us engrossed and laughing from the very first chapters the plot and the characters were fantastic the twists in the story had and talk about steam and tons and tons of off-the-charts chemistry and filled with hot alpha men just loved it.

Lydia's story though was quite the opposite this story was full of pain sorrow and raw emotion. Honestly, we felt like crying through the entire story as the story itself goes right to the heart of the reader.

We resonated with Erin's character as we had been in a similar situation once upon a time. We thought the author did a wonderful job expressing everything Erin was experiencing and going through you felt her pain and the loneliness she must be experiencing even the moment when she finally came to her breaking point it all felt so real.

We love a complicated character like Erin and love that she found a man who wasn't put off by those complications and was willing to put in the work.

Giovanni was a character that made you laugh and was sexy as sin funny and an all-around decent guy once you got to know him. We loved that Gio looked beyond the hatred he felt for Erin and got to know the real woman below the surface and what made her tick. These characters had their fair share of ups and downs filled with entertaining family drama some of it about love and so of it about pain. We saw growth from both characters and boy their chemistry was off the charts and those sex scenes were hot hot hot!

We have to say we enjoyed this complicated tale and all the messy bits within and we got to shout out to Gio's grandma she was the bomb! LOL We loved this story so much with all its raw emotion that we can't wait to read Harrison's story next.

Steamy Ever After Anthology. The stories told are steamy and written by various authors. What I love about anthologies is that it can give you a taste of an author's writing.

The first story is Fast and Dirty by Willow Winters. The story is a ménage one. MFM And is Maddox, Marie, and Blake’s story. 4.5 Stars

Reclaiming His Soulmate by Samantha Cole. Samantha is a new to me author. Landon and Clarissa’s story. The story is a BDSM one and second chance. 4 Stars

No Perfect Beginning by DD Lorenzo. Also a new to me author. This is Carter and Lacey’s story a Contemporary Romance. He’s a cop and she is a teacher. 4 Stars

Taking Flight by Michelle Windsor. Another new to me author. Griffin “Fin” Harrison and Chloe Adams contemporary romance. Griffin is a billionaire and is on the same flight as his new to be employee. 4 Stars

Roomies by Mimi Flood is another new to me author. Jane and Joe are roommates. That their attraction of each other is off the charts. 4 Stars

A true romance and I loved the story told in My Funny Valentine, it is the fifth book in the Jasper Falls Series by Lydia Michaels. This is the first book in the series that I have read and it can be read as a complete standalone!

I have read many books by this author and this author always piques my interest. Giovanni Mosconi and Erin Montgomery’s story. Now I need to go back and read the other books in this series. I truly loved Giovanni and Erin’s story. 5 STARS

Not read: Brodies Promise by Heather Slade. This author is also new to me.  This is Brodie's and Peyton's story.  

Not read: Saving Abby by Ellie Masters. This is Abby and Drake's story.

This is one collection that will call to any reader who loves his/her romance on the spicy side. These short novellas bring the heat and will increase one’s body temperature as the pages turn. No matter how you choose to read this book, whether you prefer reading from cover to cover or jump around, you cannot go wrong. First up is Fast and Dirty by Willow Winters and what a ride it is. It has spice to the nth degree with some suspense and elements of the forbidden thrown in for good measure. I would love for this to be expanded into a longer work. Second is Reclaiming His Soulmate by Samantha Cole. Welcome back to The Covenant, a BDSM club that is associated with another of the author’s series, Trident Security. It’s a second chance with some heartbreak and spice that I would like to have made into a longer story. Third is No Perfect Beginning by DD Lorenzo and it is a vividly written piece where one feels the scenes the characters are going through. It is a story filled with love and compassion. Fourth is My Funny Valentine by Lydia Michaels and talk about an emotional read that deals with the effects of domestic abuse. It proves that love can truly heal. Fifth is Taking Flight by Michelle Windsor and here the chemistry between Fin and Chloe takes center stage. Sixth is Saving Abby by Ellie Masters and it was a slow burn with Abby and Drake. The storyline is emotional with suspense as Abby is trying to start her life over in a new place. Seventh is Brodie’s Promise by Heather Slade and it’s a story of love lost and found again. Filled with angst, steam and emotion that pulls the heartstrings will leave any reader wanting more. The eighth and final story is Roomies by Mimi Flood and it is one slow burn, tension infused storyline with some humor for levity thrown in. Overall, you cannot go wrong with this anthology, and it will definitely brighten up your day.

Willow Winters story is short but has a twist or two, some edgy suspense and some very definate heat. Gripped and interesting.
Samantha Cole's story is a return to The Covenant, and it felt like I'd never been away. Wonderful characters including a few regulars from both this Trident series. Slightly angsty second chance love story, loved that this had a good plot and steady pace, it was emotional and quite powerful. Very much enjoyed being back with characters both old and new.

Fraught with tension read, a family vacation becomes not the relaxing get together it's supposed to be with surprises and secrets revealed. Wonderful unique characters and a beautiful scenic setting. Romantic and gripping read that I enjoyed immensely.

Emotional tear-jerker, my heart was stolen by Erin. Her whole life she had been rejected except by Finn, but he was happy to settle and after the hell and pain of her life she wanted more. Honestly she was so strong, many would have buckled but she faught. Her brash and often bitchy backchat was a defence at against more pain, more rejection but no one saw through it until one figured it out. This story brought tears, smiles and anguish for her, I empathised and so wanted someone to fight for her. This was a happy ending which she deserved.
Heather Slate
Romantic story that starts with a tragedy, emotional and angsty but full of chemistry. Wonderful characters and I checked out the series and the is a story before this which is about Kade. I haven't read it yet myself but for others who like to read a series in order you might want to read that first. This was a bit of a tear jerker because of mixed feelings or crossed wires but it is a happy ending.
Ellie Masters
Fabulous suspenseful and action packed story, emotional, scary and romantic but it also has some abusive violence. Wonderful characters and slightly tear jerking.
This anthology as a whole has to be one of the best I've ever read, each story felt complete, well written and detailed. For short stories I didn't feel cheated or that they skipped or jumped. Great flow and content with a mostly steady pace. I'm happy to reccomend this and know other readers will enjoy it.

My Funny Valentine by Lydia Michaels

Part of the Jasper Falls series, which I haven't read, but reading this as a standalone was easy, I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything, even though there were obviously characters from other books and a background to it all I didn't know about - it didn't detract from this story at all!

Erin comes from a family that lives with domestic violence - her mom left her violent dad, and instead of taking her daughter with her, left her at the hands of her abusive husband. Erin's father was well liked by the small town where he ran the local hardware store, so Erin did her best to hide and cover up everything her father did. Over time the walls she built up to protect herself led to her being quite mean and speaking without a filter. The whole of the town came to dislike her. She had no one.

Giovanni is back in his hometown after trying to make it as a stand up comedy act, but it's not an easy job. He does a gig at the local pub where he picks on Erin who is in the audience, as she was giving him some mouth about his act. But his comeback's hurt her and she leaves, having an accident in her car in the snow. Giovanni is the one who spots her car off the road and gets her out, taking her back to his hotel room. As they spend time with one another, they learn about each other, and why they act the way they do.

It's a heavy subject matter and a heartbreaking story, but I love how these two learn about each other, you can see Erin fighting against those walls she has had to build and trying to break her coping mechanisms. Giovanni is fabulous in his support whilst trying not to push too hard, but hard enough to give her the will to want more, want a relationship, and try to get on with everyone who knows nothing about the horror that her family life was all about.

Worth reading just for this one story.

Fast and Dirty by Willow Winters features Marie, Blake, and Maddox. The first chapters will make your pulse pound just as Marie’s are pounding. The writing is so intense and vivid. Then the banter and scenes between the three characters will capture your interest and imagination. This is the best story in this collection in my opinion. I was sorry it ended so quickly.
Reclaiming His Soulmate by Samantha Cole concentrates on James trying to get his ex-wife Clarissa to stop and listen to him so he can prove his innocence and show her he never had an affair.
No Perfect Beginning by DD Lorenzo is Lacey, Carter and his brother Declan and their mother Rose’s story. It’s a story of love, acceptance and compassion.
Taking Flight by Michelle Windsor is Chloe Adames and Griffin Harrison’s story. They meet on a flight to New York and make a strong connection. Then meet again where Chloe is applying for a job.
Roommates by Mimi Flood Jane and Joe’s story. A slow sweet burn from roommates to bedmates with a bit of humor thrown in with the spiciness.
My Funny Valentine by Lydia Michaels. Erin Montgomery, Finnegan McCullough and Giovanni Mosconi are featured in this story of a badly abused woman searching for a love “Like the stars love the sky”. Erin finds that love with the most unexpected man.
Brodie's Promise by Heather Slade is Payton Wolf, Kade and Brodie Jamison’s story. It’s a story of love lost only to be found once again even better than before.
Saving Addy by Ellie Masters, the story of Abby Knight who is joining her uncles medical practice in Peace Springs with her fern named Boston and how she meets her hero, Drake. Addy is running from an abusive relationship and starting her life over.
