An experiment gone wrong has spawned a new breed of lethal creatures…
Immunologist Lacey Thomas has been waiting for this moment her entire life. Her bunker is ready, and she has the training to protect her friends through the worst. At least that was the plan...
Trisha, the oldest living vampire, sees what’s happening before anyone else does. The media and biotech company responsible can deny it all they want, but the virus that was accidentally released into the New York water supply isn’t harmless.
It’s turning her kind into rabid, zombie-like creatures with a bloodlust strong enough to destroy humanity.
The Monstrums.
Trisha wants to find a cure. Lacey wants to survive. Time is running out, and if they work together, they might have a chance of both.
But survival comes at a cost. And so will the cure …
The Undead Uprising is a unique zombie apocalypse story featuring a character-driven sapphic relationship, secret private labs, and prepper utopias against a backdrop of vampire lore that will appeal to science fiction and paranormal horror fans.
Wow! Reckless scientists, illegal experiments and absolute zombie-like chaos for humans and vampires alike.
This was a unique story and I loved being able to experience it through different POV's which allowed us to see the WHOLE story and how different characters reacted to the situation and had me wondering what I would have done! The author really took us on this journey with these characters and it is the perfect read as we head into spooky season!

In a New York laboratory, scientists are working to create a virus. When they repeatedly fail to infect humans, the project lead throws some of the remaining experiment down the sink in a fit of rage before he can be stopped.
As the biochemical material doesn't impact humans, those higher up in the company decide to keep the whole thing under wraps.
The only problem... humanity isn't as alone as they thought. Vampires have been living among us for millenia, hiding their existence.
And whilst humans aren't susceptible to the virus, it has a terrifying effect on vampires.
What follows is a descent into a dystopian hellscape as more and more people are bitten and turned into what have now been named 'Monstrum'.
Can the remaining surviving scientists find a cure for humanity? If so, how will this cure impact the remaining vampires?
Told from multiple points of view, this is a great story following those trying to survive, those trying to rebuild, those trying to find a cure, and those trying to enjoy whatever life they have left.
This book is definitely a recommendation for anyone who loves the apocalyptical and paranormal with bonus added lesbian representation.

I love how Chloe takes zombies and vampires and twists it into something completely amazing!
The book is intriguing and interesting in many ways, both when it comes to characters but also the environment and the actual plot!
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves series like walking dead or the last of us.
It’s apocalyptic in the best way possible!
I loved this, the only thing that took it down from 5 stars to 4,5 is that I would have liked a little more character relationships other than Trishas✨
Don’t count Undead Uprising out. The author, Chloe Longstreet, takes a twist on vampires and zombies and hits it out of the ball park.
This book takes my favorite two topics and mashes them together in masterpiece.
Humans and vampires team up to find a cure for a new disease. Snag this one up to follow Lacy, Trisha, and team as they navigate a new disease. Will they find the cure or will all of humanity be damned?
I never thought I’d be one to devour a zombie apocalypse book, but here I am. The writing was beautiful and the action compelling. I especially loved so many POV characters. Sometimes that can be hard to track, but each seemed authentic and at the perfect time to pique my interest about something the other POV(s) didn’t know yet. I devoured this book like a cannibalistic zombie, and it’s perfect for the spooky season, or anytime you need a good paranormal dystopian adventure.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this book but I can tell you now it’s one hell of a ride. The author did such a good job of bringing this story to life. It’s the end of the world with vampires thrown in for good measure!!!.
