Jess is in a loveless relationship, in a small village with no family to count on. Trapped in her own chronically ill body, her only escape lies within the game and with her friends—MourningStar, Quietek, and Minxy.
When an unexpected heat strikes, Jess turns to her virtual friends for help. The real-life personas of her online allies come to her rescue, blurring the lines between fantasy and reality.
Will the spark between the four online allies ignite a real-world bond, or will it be “Game Over”?
Pixel Perfect Pack is an MFMM why choose with a HEA. This is the first book in a series of fluffy and spicy omegaverse novellas set in the same universe. Books can be read as standalones.
Sabrina Bloom is a thirty-something-year-old author living in a small village on the coast of Scotland. She writes about escapism from everyday life's hardships, focusing on fluffy plots and girthy knots in the omegaverse genre.
• Omegaverse • Short Sweet read • Hurt/Comfort • Sweet little pillow princess • Disability reps • Why choose • 4 Gaming best friends • 3 Protective alphas
This was such a short Sweet read. I devoured it in just a few hours!
I loved Jess' character. Even with everything she had going on she kept it together. All while feeling alone and dealing with her medical issues.
These 3 alphas were so loveable!! Watching them take care of Jess. Even miles away without knowing who she was. They take a chance on being with her!! The way they just fell into the role immediately of taking care of her and giving her everything she needed. I swooned!!
If you're looking for a short, but Sweet omegaverse filled with lots of character growth and nerdy gaming references! This book is definitely for you!
Who can you rely on when your whole world goes to hell?
Jess may have a boyfriend, but he’s not the person she’d turn to in a crisis. That dubious honor would go to her three best friends, even though she’s never met them: MourningStar, Quietek, and Minxy. The four of them have been gaming together for a long time and are as thick as thieves. The guys don’t know Jess has wanted them for ages, just like she doesn’t know they’re all in love with her.
But biology is gonna biology and nature always finds a way. When Jess’ boyfriend goes away with his friends and her heat comes, the selfish beta refuses to come back and help her. When her gamer friends sense something is really wrong, they ride to the rescue.
This is author Sabrina Bloom’s debut title, which is set to be the first in a series of omegaverse novellas all set in the same universe. The series doesn’t have a name or a theme yet. I’m excited at the idea of a new series of omegaverse novellas because there aren’t many of them out there, more’s the pity. I also really enjoy getting to see an omegaverse story with gamer representation! Sure, we don’t get to see much of them gaming because there’s other things to get to, but I like that these characters were brought together by gaming.

✔️MFMM sweet omegaverse why choose ✔️novella ✔️online gaming friends to lovers ✔️disability rep ✔️cheating trope (FMC is in a relationship when she hooks up with the men who become her pack)
1.5⭐️
I really wanted to like this but cheating trope is a dealbreaker for me. I don’t care how horrible her boyfriend was. They were in an exclusive committed monogamous relationship and she cheated with the men who became her pack. I have zero issues with polyamory but that wasn’t the case here (with the ex). I realize he was horrible and left her to fend for herself during her heat, but she spoke with him several times before she fully went into heat and could have broken up with him at any time, especially when she realized he wasn’t coming over to help her.
Other than that the story was fine. I like that gamer girls are getting more love in romance novels and I am always down to read a sweet fluffy omegaverse. There are multiple proofreading issues that weren’t caught before publication and a couple of them pulled me out of the story enough to be frustrating. Overall I loved the idea/overall plot/disability representation but didn’t love the execution.
For a short one it was okay. I liked the gamer girl element and the meeting IRL. The whole already friends thing for the guys was a bit of a let down. They were essentially a pack without being a pack. Jack was a dick. That part was a rage read. I'm surprised it ended like that given the abuse, leaving off with bad rumor threats. The bit where she says he's not a bad guy after all that...I call BS. Immature is not a word I would've used for him.
The pack was cute, rushing to help when they knew they might not be welcome. I'm glad things were confirmed before the heat took over. The cafe visit felt a bit pointless as if they were pushing for a town confession. The gamer screen text boxes were too small on my phone, so I had to zoom in to read.

So I just wanted to start off by saying that I haven't read many Omegaverse romances that have representation that is this relatable for me, but Sabrina nailed the rep and truly I love this read. It's not dark like my usual reads and it was the perfect break and just what I needed. I gave my friend live updates on my thoughts and inhaled this in a day. JJ goes into her very first heat after her *ahem* good for something but not good for her boyfriend decides to take off with his buddies and ignore her cry for help. Her gaming buddies would never do such a thing though and everything changes after a simple voice note on Discord followed by them showing up to her home. That's all I can say without spoiling it but definitely give this a read if you like knotty, fluffy, why-choose romances.
It's swoon worthy, steamy, and packs perfect imperfections but not weakness! 👏🏼🖤
I definitely was NOT ready for this read to be over but I'm so excited to see what else Sabrina Bloom has in store for us!
4 🌶️ (steamy and full of need, group scenes, and dirty talking with praise)
3.4 stars. So first let me just say. The author missed a trigger warning that’s kind of important. Jess does technically cheat on her ‘boyfriend’(in quotes because they’re more of a situationship than true partners) with the guys. Now I say technically because she decides she’s completely over him and tells him not to bother when he suggests seeing her later before anything happens with the guys…but doesn’t fully break up with him until after they help her through her heat. So. It is cheating, but in a way that I personally can handle better, plus he’s a complete asshole to her.
Anyway. The rest of the book was pretty dang good. I liked all the guys and their dynamic. There were a few parts where I feel like we could’ve used some more emotional development to make things fit better but, honestly we sort of start this story at the end. I do think I’ll be checking back on this author later to see if there’s anything else they release that I’d like.
A short, sweet and spicy omegaverse! I read this quickly and it was pretty enjoyable.
With the short length, the character development wasn’t totally there but they still had personality & unique traits. This book focuses on Jess’ heat after her boyfriend leaves her high and dry to have a weekend away with his friends.
Her three gamer friends swoop in to help her through it. I would’ve loved more conversations while gaming and leaned a bit more into that epistolary trope!! There is minimal angst, some OM drama, and internal conflict from one of the alpha’s. No MM in this book but the alphas are affectionate with each other and don’t mind getting up close and personal.
This is a quick and easy read if you’re looking for a high heat and fast paced omegaverse!
The story is fast-paced omegaverse why choose romance between Jess, Orion, Adair and Kito. The romance works well and the entire book is pretty focused on Jess' heat and the spice. I liked the quieter moments with each of the men separately and the group scene was good too, but I felt a little underwhelmed with the fact that the men were already a pack but not a pack. It would've worked better had they been more established first I think. But the romance worked and I really liked the gaming angle.
The boyfriend drama served its purpose but I wasn't a fan of Jess defending the SOB Jack who in my opinion can eat dust. She deserved so much more than what that idiot gave and how long it continued. Also the implied bad rumors part wasn't fun either.
I am forever looking for omegaverse romances with plus size MCs. After a few recent DNFs in this realm, I finally found this one!
JJ has found her gaming group in MourningStar, Quietek, and Minxy. Stuck in a relationship she know won't last, JJ dreams of what the group could be if they met in person. Little does she know that they wonder the same. When her boyfriend leaves town as she goes into heat, JJ's radio silence concerns the group who comes to her aid.
I LOVED this quick and spicy romance. The way these alphas cared for one another and loved JJ was beautifully written. So good!
Super fun quick read. Lovely characters, well written. Looking forward to more from this writer. Only critique: I want more of a story bigger than just a romance. That is a preference probably, but I would like more of a background story to go with a wonderful romance, like some sort of journey or overarching problem or adventure (I am not a fan of man vs man stories). I felt like the main conflict was the poor partner, which just wasn’t interesting, but the characters and writing were enough to make it a fun read.
I enjoyed this one! I needed something short, funny, spicy and this bomb just came out today. It is so easy to read in one sitting. It’s not my first omegaverse book and three is my favorite number if you know what I mean 😏😏. All three alphas were sweethearts with deep feelings for Jess even before they met her IRL. This might just become one of my favorite short reads and this is definitely not the last time reading this or other books from the author.
Jess, Orion, Kito & Adair oh wow I loved them! This is such an easy, fast paced, steamy & cute read. I loved how caring & protective the men acted when it came to JJ. She is so sweet and funny, she doesn’t deserve anything less than the best which ofc consist of Orion, Kito & Adair. Each guy is very different from one another and I believe that’s what makes the three of them work so well. The omegaverse in here has unique aspects that are interesting. I can’t wait to read more. 💖🩷
I am not a novella girly... Simply because I get so sucked in that I'm disappointed when a book ends... And this one made me cry that it ended so soon!
Our pack is freaking sweet as can be. The disability rep is so real and thankfully not at all in the bad stereotype box. And our MMCs rushing to save our FMC when she goes MIA for her heat??? Absolutely edible!
Sabrina Bloom has a bright (and spicy) future in OV books and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
4,5⭐️ Spicy, unique story with gamers, disability rep, mental health. Omegaverse. Minus 0,5 star for the cheating trope, I don’t like that. But the rest of the story I loved. Wished it would be longer. It’s only 140 pages. So I finished it in one sitting.
Oooof, this book was so amazing. My only complaint is that i want more.🥹
The fmc is relatable. She is chronically ill, curvy baddie. Honestly, the representation and the care for her was ✨️chef kisses✨️
The men 💦 swoons Gooood lordd the men. They are EVERYTHING. Caring. Sweet. Dirty as sin. Growly.
The plot is fast-paced and great. I couldn't put it down and basically binged it in one sitting
Plot 4 stars⭐️ Spice 5 🌶 TW 3 ⚠️
This was a beautiful ov, with amazing representation and delicious men. I've already preordered the next book by the author, bc shell be one to watch & one click.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and it was so damn cute! I loved how much they adored her before they even knew who she was and I loved how they came together. It was short but definitely worth the read!
I wanted to like this one so much more than I did. I love the gamer aspect, and during the first chapter, I thought it was great and was excited to keep reading! But in the next chapter, the mmc is thinking about the fmc's boyfriend and how he doesn’t treat her right, but then he goes straight to thinking of eating her out as his way of treating her better. I had trouble connecting after that. It just didn't feel like the thoughts of someone who cared, more like someone who wanted sex. After that, everything felt off and moved way too fast. I don't mind fast-paced books, but it didn't feel like a natural progression. There was just something missing. I think I'd have liked to see more of their dynamic as gamers before that barrier was shattered. I probably would've felt more connected to the mmc's then. It felt a little choppy, especially in regards to Jack. I hate to say it, but if you boil it down, it feels like an excuse to write sex scenes with a chronically ill gamer fmc.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
you would think that a chronically ill gamer girl like myself would’ve ate this up…but I just didn’t. I think for me the story was just not as realistic as I thought it’d be when it came to the the gaming and illness aspects. (yes, I know it’s omegaverse and that in itself is not real) I’m sorry 😭 I think this is a quick read so it will be enjoyable by many, but it simply was not for me.
I did receive this as an arc so this is my own shameful opinion.
This OV book was really good. It had a unique aspect to it that I don't normally read in my romance books. This group on friends were online gamers. They had been a group of friends who played games online with each other and quickly became really close.
The 3 Alpha's, Orion (MourningStar), Kito (Minxy), and Adair (Quietek) were very close friends. They went to university together and quickly formed a bond and stayed in closer contact with each other.
They meet Jess (JJ) through the gaming world and invited her to play with them in their online group. Over time, they all became very close. They knew a lot about each other but didn't know what she looked like and visa-versa.They didn't know if JJ was an omega or beta or even if she was bonded. They knew she was in a relationship with a guy named Jack, and they didn't get along well. Jack and his family treated her like crap. But they knew about her disabilities as she did theirs.
Over time, they all pretty much develop a crush with each other and love each other. They knew everything to know about each other besides designation and looks. One day, JJ doesn't get online to play for days, and they become worried. When they do talk to her, she doesn't sound good. These Alpha's think it is one of her disabilities acting up, and she had no one to take care of her.
These three decide to load up and drive hours away to go check on her. Thinking they needed to help her in some way. They know they've never met JJ in person, but they don't care. They just feel they need to take care of her. They are in for a surprise when they get there and figure out JJ or Jess in real life is in heat and alone.
This book took place majority throughout her heat. It had a lot of spice. You got to see how these 3 Alpha best friends come together to form a pack to get the girl. Plus, Jess is a plus- size omega. You learn about the disabilities certain ones have and their traumatic past to cause them to be the way they are. You see the struggles Adair go through in his mind while Jess is in heat. Plus, Jess falls on the autism spectrum. I didn't see a lot of her autism in the book, not her other disabilities. It mentioned them and touched base on them, but never saw it actually happen to her.
I received this as an ARC through the author and her PA. I want to thank them for letting me read this book for my honest review. I love OV books and can't wait for the next one to come out.
Spice- Quantitative measurement (how often spicy scenes happen)
🌶️🌶️🌶️/5- Getting up there in smut, not too much, not too little, coasting on equal smut to plot ratio
I felt like there was a pretty good ratio of plot to smut. There was plenty of time for character introductions and development but also plenty of spice
Filth- Qualitative measurement (how good the spicy scenes are)
💦💦💦/5- Getting up there in quality, not the best but not bad by any means, easy enough to read and get through
This is your typical ABO type smut. Nothing super crazy happened but it was just right, especially for the story and characters
Kink level- Measured in the stoplight system and gauges how “kinky” this piece was
💚- Little to no kink, if there is kink, it’s light and not what could be considered “hardcore” (SSC)
This was definitely on the mild side, like I said, nothing too crazy taboo happened. It was sweet and cute, which again, match the characters pretty well
Romance- This will be a measurement of how swoon worthy, heart beat skipping, giggling and kicking your feet, the romance is overall
🩷🩷🩷🩷/5- Good golly, the romance is there and it’s incredible, making me have all the feels
This was such a sweet read. While yes there was a bit of conflict, it was resolved relatively easily. And the deeper parts of the book (trauma) was handled softly. The guys knew just what to say as did JJ. They fit together well, their relationship was adorable, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them all together.
Readability- This will be a measurement of how well a piece was written, in terms of both grammar and story, overall in a particular piece of work.
📚📚📚📚/5- Pretty well written, things tie together and make sense for the most part, great grammar and plot
I felt like this flowed really well. Conflict and trauma was resolved in a way that made sense although it did feel a little easy in the resolution which isn’t a bad thing since this felt like a feel good book. I’d recommend for anyone wanting a nice, sweet, and spicy read. I loved the premise of connecting through video games and felt like that was a nice touch you don’t see super often. I loved the guys and JJ, they meshed almost seamlessly. It was a very nice palate cleanser.
For what it is, novella, I think it gets the job done!
Disclaimer: I don't usually read novellas. If I do, they tend to be attached to full-length books or series as bonus content, so this was a rare occasion for me, but the blurb sounded interesting and different, so I didn't want to pass up the opportunity.
Pixel Perfect Pack has the damsel, the white knights, the villain, friends-to-lovers, knotting and sharing and needing to change the sheets😉, so it's got all the yummy puzzle pieces. It was sweet, it was s3xy, and it was a fun read.
Jess is an imperfect leading lady, which is more my style as of late. The super strong, sassy, bad@$$ still has her place on my bookshelf, but I was in the mood for someone whose strength was maybe just a bit quieter. The blurb describes her situation perfectly, so as far as she's concerned, I think readers get exactly what Bloom promised.
Orion (love that name, btw!), Kito, and Adair are Jess' white knotty knights, and I really liked all three of them. Kito brought the playful energy, Orion the swooning, and Adair the heartbreaking "Let me hug you until you feel better, you sweet darling," so we've got some variety, which I always enjoy seeing.
My Wishlist... - Maybe twenty-five more pages spread throughout the story so that I could get a little more depth from Orion (he's still swoony, but I thought we got to see more beneath Kito and Adair's surfaces) and a little more of post-heat life/interaction from the pack.
That being said, remember, I'm the non-novella reader, so maybe I'm just being demanding, but for me, that would have brought it to a five-star read. In any case, I'll happily continue to read Bloom's other stories!
Idk, I guess this is just my opinion, but I don’t think this was really disability rep. It felt more like the author just slapped the heroine with a bunch of labels and then barely referenced them, or only referenced them as a plot device. It felt pretty disingenuous, and if this “counts” as rep, then I’m not a fan of this type of disability rep (coming from someone with one of the same diagnoses as the heroine).
I’ll admit that in a novella it’s probably really hard to integrate the fmc’s disabilities carefully into her character, and how it influences her decision making, as well as how it affects the plot. But at the same time, I don’t think this is an excuse for treating the topic so carelessly.
In fact one of my favorite books of all time with a neurodivergent heroine is The Wedding Night Before Christmas which is a novela. Not a novela, but another book I started with physical disability rep that I thought was pretty great so far was His Tesoro.
Anyways, rest of the story and characters were pretty cute, but this was a huge glaring thing for me.
update: I wrote the above before finishing the last 30%. After finishing, I have several other issues with this novella, (writing issues, the way other sensitive topics were (not really) handled, the way the relationship with her boyfriend was handled, etc.) I don’t think I can say many nice things about this. It just really was not for me…
Oh my godddddd, I love this book so much. I was sucked in right from the start and I was CONSUMED by this book. I'm legit super sad right now that I'm done. (I'm definitely getting a paperback so I can reread to my heart's desire. Because this book is absolutely worth rereading a million+ times!!) When you first meet Jess, you are introduced to someone who wants to find her special someone. She has some medical conditions that she needs to stay on top of and her heart yearns for someone more understanding. Let's not even talk about said current boyfriend. NOPE. That one made me mad. Okay, he made me outright livid. The way he acted, his priorities were all jacked up...his family wasn't much better. BUT that also helps to show Jess how amazing her 3 online friends are for her when they rush to her aide, at a time she needed them most. They all have something that they have to work through with their day-to-day lives (which made these characters extremely realistic!). Although Adair had me teary eyed. I was border line crying with that man. It was such a wild ride with this book, but I was NOT disappointed. So if you love omegaverse and would like something that dips into some real life conditions and challenges (or you also like the online gaming angle), you need to read this book!!! You're going to love it!! Sabrina, you did an AMAZING job!! I can't wait for the next book!!!
Pixel Perfect Pack was a surprise delight—sweet, a little spicy, and with just the right amount of heart. Jess is in a rough spot, stuck in a lifeless relationship and dealing with chronic illness that makes her world feel small. Her real escape is in virtual reality, where her friends MourningStar, Quietek, and Minxy bring her joy and companionship she doesn’t get in her daily life.
What I loved about this story was how genuinely caring the guys were with her. When a surprise “heat” sends Jess into a crisis, her friends step up in the sweetest way, blurring the line between her virtual world and reality. Each guy dotes on her, not in a cliché way but with the kind of warmth and humor that make you root for all of them. You can feel the years of friendship between them, and it makes their bond that much more believable.
There’s a light rom-com vibe to this story that keeps things upbeat, balancing out the deeper themes with humor and cute moments. And the spice level? A nice 3/5—just the right amount to add a bit of heat without overwhelming the sweet connection they share. It’s an insta-love story in some ways, but with the years of friendship built in, it feels natural and heartfelt.
If you’re after a short, feel-good read with real laughs, a little sizzle, and characters that feel like friends, Pixel Perfect Pack hits the mark. It’s the kind of book that leaves you smiling and just a little bit happier.
I went into this story pretty blind only knowing it was an omegaverse and the main characters were gamers. I’ve never played a video game before but after reading this? I just might hehe. This book was so much fun to read. This book is Sabrina’s debut omegaverse novel and I just fell in love. Jess is an omega who is an introvert and lives in a small Scottish town and enjoys her time alone playing video games. She’s limited on the things she can do as well for certain cases because of her chronic illness which I appreciated this unique trait to the MFC. I was able to relate a lot to that and it gave a new depth to the character. She has three guy best friends that she plays the video games with who she only knows virtually but who are closer to her than even her own boyfriend. Her boyfriend is a you know what and when she goes into heat he finds other priorities and leaves her in pain. Her friends, Kito Adair and Orion step up and help her and it’s the best thing ever. I love the MMCs so so much, each one has their own unique personalities but they all balance each other so well and they all fit with Jess like puzzle pieces. This story warms my heart and I can relate to Jess so much that it healed part of my heart too. So well written and It kept me hooked into the story the whole time. It’s a fluffy romance and it’s a fun fast read and and I can’t recommend it enough!!
