There are 3 reasons I did not like this book:

1) Alms: The author makes giving to charity sound like God will not send His blessing when we give to needy causes. The blessing will take place only when we give him our seed or other blessed ministers. He says God will only give us dollar for dollar back for our giving to needy causes. Therefore, I felt he was discouraging believers to give to charity for this very reason. The Scripture that I kept thinking about as I was reading his teaching was, "Jesus had compassion on them and healed them" (See Matthew 14:14). Jesus was in the compassion business. This teaching of this author does not sound like the Christ I know.

2) Firstfruits: He has some kind of doctrine that anything we receive we ought to give to God i.e. our first bonus should go to God. I believe when God is speaking of firstfruits He is speaking of the tithe. The author is trying to make it something other than the tithe.

3) Book is a promotional tool to get your money: to get you to be one of his 300. The 300 that will give his ministry $1000 each. He even has a list of about 300 people who have given him $1000 at the end of this book. This book is filled with testimonials of people who have given his ministry money and have been blessed. I know a little bit about sales and this is a way sales people use testimonials to get you to buy what they are selling. And in this case, he is selling you on giving your money to his ministry i.e. $1000! Don't fall for it!

I am very surprised that notable ministers such as Mike Murdock and C. Peter Wagner have endorsed this minister and this book!

I am a tither and I give offerings; therefore, I live under an open heaven. But this other teaching in respect to firstfruits and alms is false teaching. Stay away from this teaching. It will ruin you and is not sound doctrine.
