"The Law, The Christ, The Promise" by R. L. Solberg is an apologetic, verse by verse study through the book of Galatians, and I have learned so much more than I expected. This is a must read for anyone wanting to dive deeper into the pages of scripture, especially if you're waning to untangle what can sometimes be difficult to understand passages written by the Apostle Paul. Solberg presents a clear and solid introduction to apologetics, the person and mission of Paul, and the message of his letter to the churches in Galatia. It is written in a down-to-earth, conversational manner that unpacks the many theological, historical, and cultural layers that reside in this fiery biblical letter. It is both compassionate and practical, lovingly reaching those who may be caught up in the deception of a false gospel while also presenting foundational truths that are laid out through Paul's arguments and instructions in the book of Galatians. The true message of the Gospel of Christ is a unifying message, and R. L. Solberg amplifies that message with sincerity and conviction through this book (as well as his other writings and apologetics ministry called The Biblical Roots). I highly recommend!

The Law, The Christ, The Promise is a powerful and encouraging teaching for anyone seeking to live for Christ more fully and strengthen their armor against the false teachings of our time. R.L. Solberg responsibly takes his readers through Paul’s message to the Galatians step by step in a deep, but digestible way. In a climate where the fires of false teachings are an unyielding blaze across many countries rising against the one true gospel, Solberg delivers Paul’s message in light of living for Christ among modern-day twists of truth. Having walked a journey through deception myself, and now rescued back into Jesus’ arms of grace, I have confidence this book will help all who read it know that Christ alone is our righteousness. This is a great read covering the book of Galatians, almost as if you were one of the congregants listening to the letter from the Apostle Paul being read aloud.

The apologetic approach—making the case for faith, defining the mosaic law’s purpose, reassuring believers of God’s promises, and heeding warnings that are still very relevant today—is exactly what the modern believer needs in a world filled with false gospels and teachers.

Professor Solberg does an excellent job of communicating God’s gospel in a true way that left me with a reassurance of faith through God’s word and a better appreciation for our fellow brothers and sisters in the faith during the first century.

Binge reading an exposition speaks to the readability and importance of the material found within it. Professor Solberg did a phenomenal job at expounding on the text of Galatians and staying true to the Gospel, he is really coming into himself as a writer.

This book is fantastic. Rob offers a fresh and modern, relatable study on Galatians. He expands on Paul in a very digestible way that was just amazing.
