I didn't know Tauren Wells wrote books. I saw two of my favorite authors post about this book (Steven Furtick and Noah Asher...shout out lol). I enjoyed this book. There is a genuine joy in this book and I can respect that. Tauren is a great songwriter and pastor...guess we gotta add author to his resume now lol

From one of our favorite Christian pastors, worship leaders and singers comes an important work on how to gain back our joy that can give us more fulfillment and satisfaction with our lives. Tauren gives us a unique look at the Beatitudes from chapter 5 of the gospel of Matthew. Each chapter begins with a personal story or illustration that leads into the discussion of one of the Beatitudes that represent the first public teaching from Jesus related to us in the gospels. We are blessed, happy or joyful if we take to heart and apply the eight life-changing ways Jesus shared at a place called Eremos meaning isolated, desolate, or strong. An amazing book that I would recommend to anyone struggling with finding joy in their life because of their circumstances or how life has treated them.

I reconnected with my relationship with God earlier this year after walking through some really hard months and needing something / someone bigger than me to put my hope into. This book is incredible!!! It gives practical ways to live out our lives in the joy of Jesus instead of putting our joy with fleeting things from the world. This book has taught me how the true joy of Jesus is bigger than the trials we face and the gunk that’s going on. I also love this bc it doesn’t brush under the rug things that are happening with the world and with our country and talks about practical ways to show Jesus love to our neighbors and help others! Love love love this book!

I started with the audio book then reread it with the physical book. Trust me you’ll want to get both!

Tauren does a spectacular job narrating the audiobook—if you’ve ever heard Tauren preach you’ll know what I mean. His personality, genuine joy, and passion for Jesus shine through the pages and the speakers so much “he’ll take you to church!” You know what I mean.

In the audiobook you’ll get the occasional “Give Him a shout of praise!” that you don’t get with just the book.

I truly enjoyed and was blessed by both versions of this book.

Thinking back to just the Forward and Introduction of this book, the first word that came to my mind was, anointed.

I know every good (and perfect) thing comes for God and He’s blessed us with this joyful message through Tauren.

I absolutely love Joy Bomb by Tauren Wells. I listened to the audiobook and it felt like being in the middle of a powerful sermon. I would play it in the car, and my daughter started listening too. She told me she enjoyed it—especially the way Tauren shares stories from his life and connects them back to Jesus and the true meaning of joy. It sparked so many great conversations between us. This is definitely a book to revisit. It’s a beautiful reminder to look for Jesus in every part of life and through Him, discover lasting joy.

This book takes a deep dive into Jesus’ sermon on the Beatitudes, and how this sermon focuses on humanity’s search for joy, or “blessings.”
Ultimately, true joy is found in Jesus and HIS EXAMPLE of how to live.

Wells’s book takes your through how Jesus exemplified the ways to find joy through dependence on the Lord, reliance on Him during times of sorrow, living out a spirit of humility, remaining hungry for more of His truth, offering forgiveness, seeking purity, living in God’s peace, and willingly enduring difficulties for Christ.

I truly loved reading this book. It gave me a new perspective on the sermon on the mount, which was Jesus‘s first sermon ever preached to his people. Author Tauren Wells eloquently broke down the different faucets of the beatitudes in scripture. I resonated with his words, as it was a very thought-provoking book. I would encourage everyone to read it.

My favorite audio books are the ones narrated by the author. This one is no different. Wells narrates with a passion and excitement that can't be faked. While I don't agree with all of his theology, Tauren Wells has a joy-filled approach to the beattitudes that is worth hearing. I especially appreciated his distinction between peace keepers and peace makers.
