As a high school English teacher who normally looks forward to meeting with her life group every week to discuss and dissect the study, this book made it UNUSUALLY difficult. It read like a history book. I felt like a Theology major. Every “homework” assignment felt exactly that. HomeWORK. It was dry. I was disengaged. I enjoyed a good 5% of the actual reading and had to make my own outside connections and journal prompts. Grateful I have the ability to do so, but not recommended if you need something with depth and heart.
