This is a study guide to a Christian living book by the same author. You can use this with or without the primary book. The author lets you know which chapters to read for each section, but summarizes key content in such a way that you can get the big ideas from this study guide alone. The study guide also directs people to the Bible, assigning reading and asking comprehension and application questions about it.
This introduces some helpful principles from psychology and shows how they fit with the Bible's teaching, particularly regarding the impact of your thought life on your beliefs and behavior. This book includes helpful tips for uprooting and changing various harmful thought patterns, including anxiety. The approach here is mainly for people dealing with normal, garden variety problems, and this won't necessarily help someone dealing with severe mental health issues. Still, the concepts in the book are true and helpful for anyone to apply, even when someone with severe anxiety needs additional help and other interventions.
I received a free copy from the publisher through Amazon Vine, and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Read half. Spends more time explaining neuroscience and psychological categories than explaining scripture. Uses verses out of context. Encourages listening for God’s voice and “deliverance” from strongholds. I do enjoy his writing style, but the content has so many red flags that it’s not worth my time to finish.
Mostly about how our minds are flooded with different companies who are masterful at vying for our attention and our money via social media. Ways that we can not be anxious. Great book. Practical strategies for living a calmer, healthier life.

This book taught me a lot about the everyday thoughts I think everyday… and how they align with God’s purposeful thoughts for me. Highly recommend this book and Bible study.
