Thank you Rachel and NetGalley for lending me access to: Future Millionaire: A Young Person’s Step-by-Step Guide to Making Wealth Inevitable.

Let’s start by saying that I’m definitely not the target audience for this kind of book, but I wanted to give it a chance, and hopefully learn something new or find something valuable in it. I actually did!

Rachel Rodgers begins by emphasizing that one of the most important aspects of becoming a millionaire is changing our mindset. She encourages us to let go of our inner saboteur, start thinking like millionaires, stop doubting our own capabilities, and work from the inside out in order to begin living as we should.

The author provides plenty of basic yet essential advice to start a conscious financial journey, from goal-setting to practical steps. Rodgers clearly thought through the process, covering a wide range of topics, and even when she didn’t go in-depth on something, she redirected readers to other works of hers that do.

Coming from a sales and marketing environment myself, I could recognize when certain approaches felt a little too “CTA” for a book. The constant redirection to other works or products, as well as the frequent repetition of what was going to be discussed later rather than jumping straight into the topic, did pull me out at times. That said, I understand this may be more about the genre itself, which I’m not used to, rather than a flaw of the book.

Overall, it was a great and enriching read, especially perfect for younger readers or anyone who may need some financial advice or coaching. I truly enjoyed the experience, took away as many lessons as I could, and I’ll be putting them into practice.

While I'm not the target audience, I thought this was super informative for young adults. This is advice I wish I had when I was starting college. I really appreciated that Rachel Rodgers took the time to talk about financial mindset and empowering yourself to say "I have a million dollar idea AND it might take a lot of time/effort/hard work to get there." Both ideas can be true.

As I listened to the audiobook, I appreciated when Rachel said you can find the supplemental materials on the website. I took a look at a few of the documents when referenced to enhance my learning experience.

Thank you to NetGalley and Blink for the opportunity to listen to an Advanced Listener's Copy (ALC) in exchange for my honest opinion/review.

Rachel did it again.

This book is full of resources and advice designed to help people overcome their own setbacks to find their way to millionaire status. Not only does she give you the advice, but she's got a number of worksheets designed (and linked in the book) to help you along.

While this is geared to a younger generation, I found it still helpful even in my mid-30s. I also intend to share it with my 15 year old as soon as I can get it in print.

Two of my friends now have it on their TBR as well for their kids. They are never too young for financial literacy IMO.

I think Rachel is a person to keep listening to for money information -- especially if you're part of a marginalized group (BIPOC, women, disabled, etc) because she covers that as well. She explains that we can beat the odds against us to be more than people assume we will.

Very uplifting. Very informative. Well done, Rachel!

Huge thanks to Rachel and her team for the early review copy. I am sharing my thoughts prior to the finalized version's release.

Empowering, approachable, and packed with smart money advice.

Future Millionaire: A Young Person’s Step-by-Step Guide to Making Wealth Inevitable by Rachel Rodgers is the kind of financial book I wish I had in my hands years ago. I feel like this would be a game changing book for students and those in high school. It’s encouraging, non judgmental, and perfect for anyone wanting to get more confident with their money.

One of the biggest takeaways for me was how much this book focuses on mindset. It asks us to challenge negative beliefs not just about money, but about yourself. Your thoughts can shape your success, and reframing those internal narratives is such a crucial step toward building the life you want.

Rodgers covers the financial essentials in an easy to understand way: budgeting, the power of compound interest, "set it and forget it" investing, goal setting, and even practical things like applying for jobs, negotiating raises, and using your skills to create income streams doing what you love.

I especially loved the concept of Money Church. It's not religious but a weekly, non-negotiable date with your finances. It’s a time to review your budget, track your spending, tackle your debt, and check in with your goals. I love that it encourages building a relationship with money instead of avoiding it out of fear or stress.

This is a great book for anyone wanting to build a strong foundation, especially young people or those new to personal finance. It doesn’t feel preachy, it feels like a friend helping you level up. I’m glad I picked this one up, and I think a lot of people could learn something valuable from it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins for the ARC! This review is voluntary and reflects my honest thoughts.

Future Millionaire is the kind of book I wish students were encouraged to read in high school, or at least during their first year of college. Rachel Rodgers explains basic economic ideas in a way that’s easy to understand and really helpful for young people who want to set themselves up for success.

The first part of Future Millionaire really deep dives into how we can change our mindsets. One thing that really stuck out to me in the introduction is when she says, “You are not broke, you are pre-millionaire.” I really like that mindset shift from being negative to being positive, and most of the first part of the book really goes into depth on how we can do this. Some of the topics covered are thought work, setting boundaries, self-care, and how to build the best environment around you to achieve your dreams.

The second part of the book focuses more on the financial steps to becoming a millionaire, building on the earlier mindset shifts. Rodgers covers important topics like resumes, interviewing, negotiating salaries, budgeting, and investing. I think this book is especially useful for people ages 15 to 25, but anyone can learn something from it. At the end, she even shares 100 side hustle ideas to help you get started.

This is the book every young person should read! While it is written especially for marginalized young adults, the information is truly a resource to all readers. Having taught teenagers for nearly thirty years, I would have loved to have this book as a resource for my students - it's that good. Everything Rachel Rodgers recommends is valuable in multiple areas of life, not just finance. One of the most important topics she addresses is self-worth: not just how we see ourselves, but also how we can utilize our strengths, cross bridges, and avoid the avalanches of life that are always present IF WE TRY. When we fail, which we certainly will, we have the self-worth to continue toward our goals and beat the odds because we are worth it.

Thank you Netgalley and Blink Publishing for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Future Millonaire by Rachel Rodgers is a financial guidebook for young people. Rodgers gives advice on how to set a goal, reflect on what is working to reach the goal (i.e. time habits, finding supportive people, environmental audits), and what is not (i.e. people holding you back, financial traps, etc.).

This book is detailed, gives specific examples and refers to the worksheets that can be used to create an action plan to get to financial security. A great amount of this book is devoted to actionable steps that young people can take easily to begin.

The author is the narrator and her enthusiasm for this subject shines through. She has a cheery, direct, and charismatic voice that keeps you listening.

Although this book is geared toward younger people in their teens and 20's, I would recommend this book to anyone thinking about how to get their finances together.

From the author of “We Should All Be Millionaires,” this book empowers young adults to build wealth and achieve their dreams by developing a millionaire mindset and mastering smart money habits. It covers budgeting, debt management, investing, and using finances to support personal goals and social change.

All teens and young adults should read this book. Smart and easy to understand, it sets up young people for a healthy financial future and a more fulfilling life. It contains practical advice for adopting positive habits that start readers on the path for a successful future.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

A revised version of Rachel’s teachings intended for a young adult audience. Just as excellent as her other books and targeted perfectly towards its intended audience!

The audiobook is narrated by the author and it’s PERFECT. Rachel brings all her Rachel-ness to her own words and it’s like listening to a podcast hosted by your no-BS bestie!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

A great book for young people to learn more about money and how to manage it responsibly.

It's very interesting that it has several additional exercises that facilitate the application of the lessons learned in the book.

The website also has additional information and more exercises to improve your knowledge and help you reach your first million.

The book is narrated by the author herself, which emphasizes the important points.

I think this is a great book for teens and new adults. Highschoolers and early college kids.
It starts with learning about how you view money and any limiting beliefs, money mindset, then moves on to saving, investing, credit and earning.
And about 90% of the book is applicable to Canadian or European youths, as well, so it's still worth it for all.

This was a pretty basic book on finances, but very important for young people. Rodgers talks about what many neglect to tell young people. A lot of this, especially applying for jobs, alligns with what I teach my third graders in our class economy. This kind of stuff gives young people the leg up they all should have!

anyways, the actual key to building lots of wealth is building a business on top of doing basic stuff. huzzah

I read everything Rachel writes. Not so much for the making money aspect, as for her clear and fearless analysis of how inequality impacts all of our lives.
I'm not the target audience for this book, but it gives a new dimension to what her book, We Should All Be Millionaires covered.

I'm not the target audience, but who wouldn't want to be a millionaire and be more successful, or in the least manage your money better.

Good tips for all (not just young people) on marketing yourself, interviewing well, changing your mindset, knowing your worth, being smart with your money and credit, as well as starting in investing your money.

Thank you to NetGalley and Rachel Rodgers for offering this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
