Deepen your understanding of God the Father with Strong and Secure, the 100-day devotional for teen girls and young women that explores topics like anxiety, self-esteem, and the pressures of everyday life and examines five key traits of God to guide you toward building an enduring relationship with Him.
The Bible tells us to think of God as a Father, but what exactly does that mean for teenagers and young adults who are forming their own identities? Strong and Secure considers the nature of the God who protects, heals, brings peace, provides, and is always present, and shows readers how they can experience Him fully and grow stronger as His child. Through personal anecdotes, Bible passages, and practical advice, Strong and Secure illustrates how God is with you in your anxiety, grief, disappointment, struggles, and even trauma, and that He longs for you to find strength and security in His love, even when others let you down.
Strong and Secure:

“From the beginning, we were created to look like our Father. When we know who our Father is, we will know who we are.”
Navigating the journey of high school, college, and young adulthood can often be challenging, leaving young women feeling overwhelmed and insecure. This is why tools like this transformative devotional are so incredibly valuable.
In this inspiring 100-day devotional, Lynn and Michelle beautifully weave together scripture, personal stories, and thought-provoking reflection questions, inviting readers to turn their hearts toward our Heavenly Father—the steadfast anchor who will never abandon us.
By grasping the heart of our Father, we begin to understand our true identity as cherished daughters of God. This revelation empowers us to navigate life with newfound strength and unwavering confidence.
I wholeheartedly recommend this powerful resource to every young woman in search of guidance and reassurance! Additionally, it would make a profoundly meaningful gift for any young woman in your life.
I received a gifted copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
I won a hardcover edition of Strong and secure in a goodreads giveaway.
One of my favorite things that I read in the book is Don't worry about the future the future will worry about its self. I worry about the future a lot and it would probably be better if I didn't.
I also liked reading about the experiences of the authors. I did not realize until I was almost halfway though the book that there was a name of the author who wrote the devotional on the first page of the devotional.
I also liked reading about not to keep bringing up ways that people have let you down in the past. When I think about the past I think of ways that I have disappointed myself or thought about what if I had done things differently.
The book also suggests parts to read in the bible and blank lines to write in the book. The book also suggests songs to listen to.
So for me I thought Strong and secure had some interesting parts that I hope I remember. It even made me think about listening to an audio book version of the bible since I have never read the bible. Or at least it made me want to learn about the history of the bible.
Perhaps more than ever before, young women need to know that they are secure in the strength and power of God’s love. With its 100 devotions, Strong and Secure invites readers to know God as the perfect Father and to learn to trust in Him as Protector, Healer, and Provider while accepting His gifts of Peace and Presence.
These devotions are real and relatable, often including personal stories. Each is accompanied by a section filled with practical suggestions for ways to experience God in our own lives, along with a “Growing Stronger” section with simple and easy to adopt tips for strengthening faith and making the most of time spent with God.
A beautiful gift for any teen or young woman—or woman of any age really—who seeks reminders of the goodness of God her Father and the strength of His love.
Though this is intended for young women, this applies to all ages. We need the truth and reassurance of God's character and promises to sink into our hearts, and this book does just that. Strong & Secure had devotions that are just right in size to reflect on, sit with, and be satisfied in Father God's peace. We all long for His nearness, and these devotions bring us closer to God's heart while strengthening our faith. This is wonderful for young women who struggle to know they are fully seen and known and loved to meet with the God who loves them completely.
I grabbed an e-copy of this ARC on a whim and I’m so glad I did. Reading through the workbook I can already tell this is going to be an amazing resource for my daughter and I to work on together. It is marketed for teens and young women but this is something that will definitely bless women of all ages. I already plan to order two copies as soon as summer break starts so that my daughter and I can work on this together over the school break.
An excellent book for young women. My 17-year-old daughter who just began college says she's finding the devotions to be meaningful and applicable to her life. I'm enjoying the devotions myself as a middle-aged woman as well. Highly recommended for individual study or as discussion material for groups.
