This is a hefty book and so I can understand anyone looking at a thousand-paged book on missions and thinking it's not for them. But it is so, so good and rich and edifying. Everything you could think of is in here: Biographies, stories, church history, pastoral ministry, theology, biblical exposition, and on and on it goes. It's centered on missions but topics on church and Christians in the workplace and rightly interpreting Scripture, and many more are all in here.
I've found myself overtime taking issue with several things in ministry and the churches just in general that I've seen more on the big scale, like online, and here I found like-minded believers who agree with the issues we face today and they put my issues and concerns to words better than I could ever express.
They are thoroughly biblical and handle every topic so well. I found myself convicted and confronted with my own sin, instructed on things I never knew, and bolstered stronger and aided in articulation in my convictions I already held.
What a rich resource. I highlighted so many parts of it that I know I will return to. Definitely worth having around if anything.
