Divine Five is a fantasy adventure series that blends mythology, modern storytelling, and thrilling action. The story revolves around five extraordinary siblings from Asmaan, Krishi the eldest, Saras the Youngest, and the twins Devi and AJ, along with Hanu. They are chosen to represent Asmaan in the prestigious Motherland World Championship takingplace in a virtual realm where participants contest against each other in a battle of wits, strength, and supernatural powers.

I loved their sibling bond and all the teamwork, cooperation, and support they offered each other. I also loved incorporating Indian mythology elements and Modern AI technology with Robots. The bond between AJ and Ira his best friend is so pure and beautiful to read.

Each character is so relatable and well-developed along the world-building. The writing is fast-paced and action-packed with no dull moments. The description of landscapes transports you to the imaginary world of Asmaan.

The book delves into the eternal conflict between light and darkness, and the choices individuals must make in the face of evil. It also showcases the rich cultural heritage of Asmaan with its traditions, customs, and beliefs. One thing that I liked was the idea of allocating a piece of land to individuals, allowing them to plant a tree on their birthday and take care of it.

I highly recommend this book for fans of Fantasy and adventure. It's a captivating tale that celebrates Indian mythology with its engaging characters, thrilling plot, and powerful themes. I am eagerly looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Divine Five, Volume 1 – Motherland is an action-fantasy smudge infused with elements that are dear to Indian culture. The story centers on five siblings: Krishi, Devi, AJ, Hanu, and Saras, who get sent to represent their homeland in the illustrious Motherland World Championship. Of course, this competition happens in a certain virtual reality setting, which looks and feels awfully familiar to real life. Each sibling demonstrates varied capabilities guided by their mentor, Daadi Cool.

As they become top in the championship, they start playing through very hard levels of fighting demons and discovering lost secrets. Things take a dark turn when Hanu, the youngest sibling, blacks out during a critical battle—pointing to the fear that maybe the game is connected to reality more than they thought.

Things take an even darker turn when the siblings realize that a dark entity is threatening to sabotage their success and eventually the very existence of their nation. The second half of the book ramps up the pitch: the line between the game and reality begins to blur, and real-life villains are fought off with gaming devices. It contains Saras' invention, the Robot Yodha, and also the history of the island of Asmaan, which thickens things a bit.

With some great cultural references, a strong family narrative based on heritage, and the battle of good against evil, Divine Five is well-paced, making for a compelling read and moving pages quickly as readers look forward to the next action. Leaving more questions in the reader's mind—the secrets Daadi and Krishi may be hiding and what the next book has in store—it's a perfect choice when one's looking for a dynamic, culturally rich adventure.

Delve into the world of Asmaanians as they take a breathtaking journey through representing their motherland. The Divine Five by Ratikant Behera and Abhishek Krishnan is a story of five siblings participating in a game bought through life through virtual reality. In this game, each sibling discovers their superpowers, faces the toughest challenges and discovers their strengths and abilities.

The plot of the story is gripping and thought-provoking keeping the readers on their toes about what will happen Next. The story begins with a bang keeping readers invested in their journey throughout. Right from the start you'll love the journey of the siblings and the way everyone supported each other. Filled with courage, wisdom, and determination, the author weaves a story of friendship, sibling relationships, and how one takes a journey within and embraces growth.

With a crisp descriptive narrative, this book is full of secrets, every event making it more intense for the readers. I enjoyed the way they strategised each game and a bigger game hidden with their every move. They try to keep it light and fun with drama and conversations between them and their friends which was interesting to read as they hinted at what could happen next. I found it a heartwarming read too, especially with Devi who was emotional and the way she expressed herself was too good to read.

Their writing style is captivating and engaging transporting the readers into the realm of superpowers, demons and monstrous challenges blurring the line between fantasy and reality. I enjoyed it when they went on a challenge, creating an intense environment in the room. With every chapter, we see the character grow and a mystery being laid.

The characters are brilliantly curated and are relatable. Each of them had different personalities and interests and the authors beautifully curated them. All five of them are amazing and try to contribute and save their motherland in their own ways. We see blooming friendships here and creative minds too. I loved Saras’s curiosity, Hanu’s innocence, Devi’s feelings, Aj’s fun nature and Krish’s leadership. One thing that was difficult for me was the introduction of many characters in the former chapters. It became difficult to keep a tab of the events and characters.

It's a smooth-paced story filled with drama and wisdom, taking readers on a roller coaster ride. The climax of the story is mind-blowing as we can see the reasons and the reasons for the situations which was exciting to read.

In all, it's a fantastic read with a gripping plot, an immersing narrative and brilliant, relatable characters. Love reading fantasy? You'll enjoy this one. Especially the one who wants to start reading fantasy.

The digital world is ruling the real world, as we all can see how AI and virtual technologies are taking over. Gaming has become a key aspect of many youngsters and I think this book has a better gaming idea for today's youth. Keeping the current scenario in mind, our authors have come up with this totally amazing adventure thriller that will hook you to the plot entirely, and you won't leave it until you are done.

Five siblings, Asmaan Gaming corporation, Motherland World Championships, virtual world to reality, from mythology to robotics, and from superpowers to new challenges, this book is a perfect adventure thriller for all age groups.

The siblings are representing their homeland in a prestigious championship. It's not an easy way, but their dedication and seriousness show it all. The daadi cool supported them entirely, and I loved that character a lot. At her age, reading her play games like a pro was an entirely new experience. AJ stole the show for me with his extraordinary personality and naughtiness. I enjoyed him annoying Devi all the time. Their bantering is really cute. Krishi is the most sensible one. Being the eldest, he will capture your heart with his maturity and decision-making.

The game involves saving Mother Earth every time there is an unknown monster on the attack. You will see sand monsters, Robots, and unknown powers getting into the game, and the siblings with their friends trying to save Earth from these creatures.

I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure and I hope you do it too.

As someone who is OBSESSED with Indian mythology, Divine Five: Vol. 1 Motherland was such a fun read!

Can't wait to gift this to my little niece and have her mind blown!

The book introduces younger readers to elements inspired by Indian epics and folklore without making it feel like a history lesson. Asuras, Rakshasas, Vimanas, ancient mysteries, heroic quests, and larger-than-life battles are woven into a modern story filled with VR technology, AI, and gaming.

The story follows five siblings from the kingdom of Asmaan who enter the Motherland World Championship, only to discover that there are much bigger forces at work. As buried secrets begin to surface and ancient powers awaken, what starts as a competition evolves into an adventure with much higher stakes.
I particularly enjoyed seeing familiar mythological concepts reimagined through a futuristic lens. The book manages to make Indian mythology feel exciting, accessible, and relevant for a new generation of readers while still preserving the sense of wonder that makes these stories timeless!

Beyond the mythology, the sibling dynamics are fun, the pacing is quick, and the story is packed with action and adventure. But for me, the strongest aspect was its ability to spark curiosity about India's rich storytelling traditions.

Highly recommend for anyone who loves Percy Jackson-style adventures but wants something that feels proudly Indian. Perfect for middle-grade, YA, and adults (like me) who still love a great underdog story.

Can't wait for the next volume!

Divine Five, Volume 1 – Motherland is a thrilling blend of action, fantasy, and Indian culture.

The story follows five siblings—Krishi, Devi, AJ, Hanu, and Saras—as they represent their homeland in the Motherland World Championship. The novel’s vivid depiction of Indian mythology, combined with elements of a virtual reality game, makes for an immersive and engaging read.

The strong bond between the siblings adds emotional depth to the story, as their journey is as much about self-discovery as it is about saving their homeland. Each sibling is well-developed, with unique powers and personalities that enhance the narrative. The pacing is excellent, with nonstop action and surprising twists that keep you hooked.

Indian mythology and cultural references are skillfully woven into the plot, adding richness and depth. This makes Divine Five not just an entertaining read but also an insightful exploration of India’s cultural heritage. I went into this book expecting a fun fantasy adventure, but what surprised me most was how well it blends Indian mythology with the excitement of a video game.

The concept itself is incredibly fun—five siblings entering a virtual world, discovering their powers, taking on dangerous missions, and facing demons inspired by Indian mythology. But for me, the sibling dynamic was one of the strongest parts of the story. Their teasing, disagreements, and different personalities make their journey feel much more personal instead of just being another fantasy quest.

I also enjoyed how the mythology is introduced through the adventure rather than feeling like a history lesson. The RPG-like world, unique avatars, mysterious missions, and supernatural elements kept the story moving and made it easy to imagine as a game or even an animated series.

What I appreciated most is that it feels like a story that can connect two worlds—Indian mythology and modern gaming culture. If you grew up hearing mythological stories but also love fantasy games and virtual worlds, this is definitely a combination worth exploring. A fun and imaginative read, especially for younger fantasy readers.

There are days where you don't feel like picking up a heavy book, but at the same time wish to escape reality, Divine Five is that book for me. I would say it is a perfect starting point for young readers to start their fantasy adventure reading journey, because this book will immediately transform you and take you on a journey of gaming and adventure with the five siblings - Krishi, Devi, AJ, Hanu, Saras.

Each of them holds so much potential for growth in the upcoming books and I loved how their superpowers and personalities were played at strength by the writers.

The book has kept me well engrossed since the very first page, each chapter is a perfect blend of adventure, knowledge and twists and turns. The book feels like you are experiencing the game yourself while reading.

This one is equally very well paced and holds demons, superpowers, mythical creatures, etc.. This one being the first book, holds a lot of introduction and world-building.

"Divine Five: Volume I – Motherland" is an exciting and refreshing take on fantasy adventure. An absolute page-turner, the story follows five siblings as they enter a virtual world championship. However, it turns out to be more than just a game—real danger creeps in.

I enjoyed how each sibling brought something unique to the team, and their bond felt warm and strong. The virtual world was well crafted, and the blend of technology, mythology, and emotion worked really well without feeling overwhelming.

The pacing is balanced—slow at first, but it picks up quickly. I especially liked the character Hanu and his personal growth throughout the book. This book kept me hooked until the end and now, I can't wait to read the 2nd book in the series...!!

If you love stories with adventure and teamwork this book is definitely worth picking up.

Divine five is about five kids who fight against the monsters and devils which we see in the games. What is striking in the novel is that it is fast paced and action filled as well as contains sufficient emotive moments. Any gamer who is a hardcore fan of actions shall find this stinulating. We come across vivid and surprising experience of five kids along with their Daadi and Maa. I find all these encounters fascinating, blood curdling and engrossing. Vedas and modern scientific technology are very well synchronized in here adding a renewed charm to the book. Their house that surrounds around amla tree, wind, cyclones, cliffs and many such details add to the charm. I liked particularly the scene where kids confront a monster in Jammu and Kashmir, in its valleys.

In every way this was an exciting, enthralling delightful experience. Good read!

This book genuinely felt like watching an epic fantasy-action movie unfold inside my head.
If you love stories like Harry Potter, fantasy universes, action-packed films, or even video games where every level reveals something bigger, you'll probably have a lot of fun with this one.
The story follows a group of kids who enter a virtual reality game filled with powers, monsters, mysteries, and battles. But the deeper they go, the more the line between the game and reality starts to blur.
What I enjoyed most was how unpredictable it was. Every time I thought I had figured things out, the story threw another twist at me.
And the ending?
It leaves you with a hundred theories and an immediate need for Volume 2.
For me, this felt like the kind of book that combines the wonder of fantasy, the excitement of a video game, and the thrill of an action movie into one fast-paced adventure.

Divine Five Volume 1 is a strong beginning to an imaginative and ambitious fantasy series. The world building is excellent and pulls the reader into a unique setting that blends mythology, technology, and sibling dynamics.

While some parts felt a little slow, especially in the early chapters, it is understandable as the story takes time to establish its universe. The characters are well crafted and each sibling has a distinct personality.

I found myself connecting most with Hanu, whose journey felt personal and heartfelt. The ending is both satisfying and open ended, setting up interest for the next volume.

Overall, this is a good read for anyone looking for a fresh Indian fantasy adventure with heart and imagination.

I liked how the story mixed mythology with virtual reality. The idea of the Motherland World Championship was interesting and different from most fantasy books I've read. I also liked that the book wasn't only about action and superpowers. The line "Ahimsa Paramo Dharmaha, Dharma Himsa Tathaiva Cha" gives the story a deeper meaning. The world-building was good, and I think this first book mainly sets up the journey of the five siblings. Overall, I enjoyed it and I'm curious to see where the series goes.

Simple, interesting and fun this is a story of five siblings who enter a virtual world and discover their hidden superpowers. When you start reading it just feels like they just entered a game, a virtual world but as you progress you realise that this is so much more. This seems like India’s answer to Harry Potter and has elements of sci-fi, fantasy and mythology making it a great entry point into any of these genres. Great read overall.

A fresh adventure
I picked this book up because I love stories about gaming and virtual reality, and it did not disappoint. The Motherland World Championship feels like a real e-sports event, but with much higher stakes. The authors did a great job describing the technology and the action sequences. What surprised me the most was how they mixed the gaming elements with Indian mythology. It made the boss fights and the challenges feel very different from other books in this genre. I could not stop reading.

A fun, imaginative superhero adventure rooted in Indian mythology!

Asmaan, a fascinating island kingdom where futuristic technology meets Indian mythology and tradition is the home of five siblings, Krishi, Devi, AJ, Saras and Hanu. They are drawn into Motherland, a massive virtual gaming world where they must take on different missions and battle demons and monsters.

But the battles just doesn’t limit to the virtual world anymore and starts affecting their real lives. They get progressively difficult and to move forward they must reach out to Indian Mythology.

What I enjoyed most was how distinct the five siblings are. Each has their own personality, powers and charm, but their teamwork is what really makes the story work.

The book is written in a simple, accessible way, making it an easy and enjoyable read, especially for younger readers. I also loved how naturally Indian mythology and cultural elements are woven into a superhero-fantasy setting.

It’s adventurous, imaginative and leaves you curious about what happens next. Definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.
