I adored Call Me Cat and waited in anticipation for the second instalment in this series and I was not disappointed. We pick up right from the end of Call Me Cat with Catelyn in the hospital who has just told Ash her secret and is waiting for his astounding revelation he began but didn’t get to finish. Well, in this book boy does he finish that confession and then some! It blew me away!! You will think you are ready, or you know what he is going to say but trust me when I say you have NO idea the level of what is about to happen and the consequences after that!
In Leave Me Love Catelyn’s character changes, becomes stronger, grows and as the plot thickens the emotions she goes through will knock you down right there with her. She is such a likeable character, easy to empathise with and Karpov Kinrade has created a true gem in her easily weaving and creating such a realistic character that you are able to be “right there” with her through every trial and tribulation she endures, and she endures a lot.
The Midnight Murder is not done with Catelyn, and Lucky was certainly just a pawn in a larger game that Catelyn has found herself standing dead centre in. Only this time the game is going to bring her to her knee’s, leaving her with no one to trust, a possible jail sentence lingering over her head and her heart to protect. Ash has her heart, he has her in the palm of his hand but will he choose to caress her, or crush her?
The 3rd Book cannot come soon enough because as always Leave Me Love ends in a cliff hanger that out does Call Me Cat’s cliff hanger – Just what are they trying to do to me?
I really enjoyed "Call Me Cat" written by the husband and wife writing team known as Karpov Kinrade. However, I must say, the second book, "Leave Me Love" is even more compelling. Once again, this is not your typical romance. It is a suspense pack thrill ride with plenty of hot sex!
Our story begins right where the previous one ended with Ash about to confess a secret to Catelyn. He reveals that he hired a private investigator to track her down so that he could meet and get to know her. She is shocked but knows that he loves her. They leave the hospital and she moves in with him.
Meanwhile, Catelyn's BFF, Bridgette is kidnapped. There is a large amount of blood found at the scene and the police suspect Cat. She and Bridgette argued prior to her disappearance and since Cat's behaviour has been erratic, they think she killed her. As Detective Gray and his partner grill Cat, Ash hires her a lawyer. Cat does not quite trust him but she uses him anyway.
With all of the stress and strain of her personal life, Cat agrees to see a therapist recommended by her professor. This is the same woman who saw Cat's mother prior to her death. Cat's blackout continue but she still tries to locate the missing second novel. More and more clues appear. So, Cat gets the idea to hold a press conference where she will announce that she has found the book in order to smoke out the guilty party. All is definitely not as it seems and there is a host of suspects for the reader to mill over.
There is no stopped action and secrets a plenty in this sequel. It is so good, I literally read it in one sitting. If you haven't discovered the writing of this dynamic duo, I highly recommend that you pick up the first book in this series entitled, "Call Me Cat." It is a great read. Now, I am off to read the final book in the trilogy.
Although this part two of the series had picked up in action, the story was still all over the place. So many things happened that made no sense. The trip to the cabin with the professor was pointless, the cabin being used for the capture of Laura made no sense, and the plot between her and Brig to catch Laura also made no sense. I think I will pass on book 3.
Would have given it 3 stars because I like most of the book well enough. Not enough to read again, but didn't mind spending a few dollars on it. Until the end, which I hated. Hated.
The continuous story of Caitlyn and Ash. Bridgette is missing and everyone thinks Caitlyn did it. Can Ash prove that Caitlyn did not do it. Caitlyn move in with Ash. Someone want Caitlyn's mother's missing book and will kill for it. Who is the kill this time? Great story.
This series is honestly like something you can't put down and you have to know what's happening all the time! Another well detailed and well written book. Full of mystery, suspense, and romance. Can't wait to get into the next book
Wow. I thought the first book couldn’t be topped, but this one just may have done it. It sucks you in and takes you for quite the ride. I couldn’t put it down!
Leave me love continues where Call me cat ended. In this book you have a combination of the best things a book and give you. Love, lies, sex and deceit a must read
I want the next book! Like the first book in the series this book has a cliff hanger that makes you want more. I give this book a 4.5 because I am not of the erotica genre fan group. But this series has me somewhat hooked.
Cat is back and so is her killer. The man whom everyone thought was the killer must have an accomplice that is still out there preying on poor cat. Worst of all Cat has been in a coma for a week and so she is having problems with blackouts and headaches. Ash is right there trying to help her out and being the usual boyfriend. Things go really wrong when Cat receives a note at the hospital from the murderer. She sees it but finds that the ink may be disappearing ink?
This whole book was a mind trip for sure. Poor Cat is thought to be seeing things because of her head injury. She believes the killer is trying to make it seem like she is crazy. The worst thing to happen to Cat is that her best friend disappears and everyone blames Cat. Evidence is stacked against her and the murderer is tormenting her, but only Ash and his private detective believe Cat. Even this lawyer Ash has seems a little skeptical.
Cat is hitting rock bottom and she doesn't know what to do. This book had my head spinning and even made me angry at times. All I could think was poor Cat! But the ending of the book was a MAJOR twist, I did not see it coming. Along with that and the dramatic cliff hanger!
This book will have you routing for Cat even though almost everyone is against her. Secrets will be uncovered and Cat may actually find this book her mother wrote, the second book. This book does have some cursing in it and there is sex still in the book, its an erotica. But will Cat give up her job as an operator now that she has Ash in her life?
"One is such a lonely number. Two make a couple, Enjoy it while it lasts."
Leave Me Love is the second book in the Call Me Cat trilogy, and the most action-packed so far. Catelyn Travis is one step closer to finding out who her parents' killer is once and for all. She has stepped up her game, this time attempting to coax the killer out with small amounts of misinformation. When it seems like she has reached a dead end, her best friend goes missing and the blame falls on her. Nothing is as it seems and you will find yourself questioning reality as the plot thickens.
There were some spelling errors and some grammatical errors, but the story progression was unhindered and still highly enjoyable.
This story and its prequel are meant to be enjoyed by adults only due to graphic sexual encounters. I'd like to give it a trigger warning as well due to animal abuse, sexual abuse, and some graphic depictions of violence.
Overall, I loved the story. The suspense is all-consuming from cover to cover and the ending is heart-stopping. I found myself immersed in the tale, feeling fearful for the characters and questioning my sanity from beginning to end. I can't wait for the final book in the trilogy. After reading Leave Me Love, it's apparent that Tell Me True has a lot to live up to. Karpov Kinrade are exponentially more talented together than I could have ever imagined. Their ability to write in such a diverse selection of genres has solidified their place on my 'favorites' shelf next to a handful of the most talented indie authors in the business.
I truly don't even know what to say about this book. I.was very disappointed since it wasn't what I expected. The book was a real mess, and the sexual encounters felt way too awkward for me as well as some of the romantic scenes.
The story held quite a good potential for the mystery, and I still did like that part the most, but it lacked proper execution. Most of the time I felt that rather than building the mystery, part of the story felt like it was cut out to awaken the curiosity of the reader and confuse him. Though it ended quite interestingly, the story didn't engage me.
Cat really baffles me, I don't know if she is too naive or does it just for appearance. Because it really confuses me how she can't be suspicious of the most suspicious character in the book, and still accept all their advances without being a little reluctant about it.
Overall is not a bad read, for its shortness it did entertained me but I just felt it wasn't engaging enough and found myself just reading the story to reach the end instead of enjoying it
So we kind of figure that things are not ending. And now it appears that the Midnight Murder is back and he's taken the BFF as a hostage until Cat releases information that her mom was planning to publish in an upcoming book before she was tortured, raped and murdered.
Ash and Cat strengthen their relationship, but at question is her job as a phone sex operator, her relationship with her BFF and the Beaumont family, and then there's Ash's brother, who seems be to interested in Cat, despite her relationship with Ash.
What's convoluted about all of this is just how many people seem to be involved in the murders of her parents and who want the info in this book. It's not exactly coming together in a way that makes sense unless all of these people are sociopathic murderers.
Also, given the POV, I had a hard time believing the explanation for the BFF's kidnapping. Sorry, but this is going downhill, fast.
If you are a fan of Pretty Little Liars then this is the book for you
I thought book 1 was intense but this one was by far more intense. All the conspiracies and scenarios gave me whiplash, but in a good way. I was at the edge of my seat wanting to know what happened, how it happened, who is behind all of the madness. I still like Catelyn and Ash but not sure if I am able to trust him yet. I want to but I just dont know. There are a bunch of characters who are shady and seem guilty. What are they all hiding. I felt like I was in an episode of Pretty Little Liars. I cant wait to continue on to the next book...I need answers and even though you got the answer to the biggest question (even though anything is possible) even more questions were raised within the last 2 pages, hell the last 2 paragraphs. I highly recommend this book
Like whoa! What the heck! More loop throwing! I thought the book would have started unraveling some of the mysteries in the second book but more mysteries were piled on! Crazy, crazy, crazy,...did I say crazy??? I don't know who to trust anymore! Ash? Bridgette? Prof. Cavin?? Jon?? Maxwell?? OMG! Usually you know the main female protagonist can always in the main male character but I'm just so confused and I wish I knew what was going on. What did Catelyn's mom get herself into?? And Bridgette breaks my heart with everything she does :( But the end was totally worth all the pain of the rest of the book and I can't wait for the third installment to be published so I can finally find out what happens!!
Ok, so now we get more questions and mystery a kidnapping a fight a dead body and another big clue to finding the Midnight Murder who also are responsible for killing Catelyn's parents. So yep plenty of action, drama and mystery that continues in this story.
Well it got a little complicated in the wrap up but overall it was a good continuation from book 1.
The progression of As and Catelyn's relationship is on the fast lane so expect lots of sex and drama there as well.
If you liked the first book, which is free right now on Amazon and Barnes and Noble if you haven't read it yet, then part 2 is one not to miss. It will leave you at a big reveal wanting to hurry to book 3 to get to the bottom of the mystery once and for all.
Wow, what a ridiculous plot twist. I mean really?! I don't get how you could deceive the people you supposedly care about like that... I don't know, not my cup of tea I guess. I, unfortunately need to read the last one just to find out if my theory that I had in the first book is correct. I'm still not a fan of the characters in this book - they're so superficial. I feel like the author doesn't care about substance. The only reason I'm not rating this as a one star is because I actually finished this book and the only reason I finished is because I need to know who the killer is. On to book 3...
Bravo Kimberly and Dmytry! Bravo! Talk about a plot twist mystery romance murder novel. I didn't think it could be done but you guys did it. This novel had just enough of the steamy romance. Just enough mystery. And oh so much plot twists! That ending!! At least it wasn't abad cliffhanger like the first book. Where your wondering *spoiler* if Ash is the killer. It ended perfectly and kept you on the edge of your seat wondering who did it. Great job! I cant wait to see how the series will be wrapped up.
This book opens where the first one left off with more mysterious happenings in the relationship between Ash and Catelyn. The heat between the two is still scorching hot. Catelyn is still being stalked and threatened though the police aren't taking her stories seriously. Ash is very supportive of Catelyn. The mystery surrounding her mother deepens and some of this book is pretty scary with all its twists and turns. Like the first book in the trilogy, this is a well-written and fast paced story. 4 stars
Good book/series, but the 3 books are really each novellas that should have been condensed into one novel. I feel a little cheated about paying Amazon Kindle for 2 of the books (the 1st one was free to rope you in to the series). I should have only had to pay once for all 3 books. With that said, it was still a fun read, romance, sex, violence, mystery, laughter. It had it all. Not sure if I would read again because part of the lasting fun was finding out "who done it" and now that I know, it probably won't be as page-turning as it was the first time. Would recommend!
I loved Call Me Cat, and was super excited yo read the 2nd installment of this series. The book itself was so compelling! All the action in this book was insane and totaly genius! The way this book was set up was astonishing. This book picked up right where the other left off. There were so many twists and turns integrated in this book and sets up the next one perfectly! I so excited to see what the next book has install for Catlyn and Ash. If you love romance, james bond action, and mystery then this book is for you!
Nowhere near as good as book one for me. Catelyn was portrayed as a strong willed survivor in the first book, but here in the second, is transformed into the opposite. I mean, it was almost laughable how many times her character fainted or blacked out and so I kind of lost respect for that.
I did read through to the end just to try and get some answers, which, as in any decent trilogy, are held back so you're encouraged to read the final instalment. The end in this though was just rushed and ludicrous and disappointing. Not sure I can be bothered to read the last in the series.
Holy hell! I am in love with with this series.... Started Call Me Cat and went right into Let Me Love and finished all in one day! I can not wait to get my eyes in the third book. Simply Amazing story....has the mystery where your like wtf??? And has your mind realing in diff possibilities! So mystery, suspense, love??? What can I say??? AMAZING!!!!! Ash and Catelyn I adore! I hope #3 comes quick lol
I enjoyed the book but not as much as I enjoyed the first installment. I spent the whole story looking at each character with a suspicious eye. I was not, and am still not, entirely comfortable with relationship between Cat and Ash... but am still anxiously awaiting the 3rd and last installment of this series. I can't wait to find out who the real mastermind of the killings are and how each character played their part in it.
Wow!!! Unbelieveable! This author really knows how to "end a book on a cliffhanger"
This one was definitely a step up when it came to suspense vs. the first one.
Especially with the highly-detailed secretive, complex plan her and Brig did to catch thd midnight murderer.
Then you leave me with her accepting the engagement not only because she loves the guy but because of what her mom said on the book cover. ((Mind-blown))
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Oh this series just gets better and better with cat being targeted by the killer of her family she needs to act fast and with ash at her side she has the strength to come through this but with a kidnap and murder it's starting to take it toll on her.
Just when I thought it was one person the plot twisted and someone else got thrown into the mix oh how I'm gripped I just want to know who is the killer now on to book 3 for me
I read this because I saw the first one was free so I downloaded it and I wasn't really impressed but once I start something, I like to finish. I had to know what happened so I downloaded this one. I have the same feeling about this series I had after reading the first. It's just too non-committal in a way. It doesn't have any concrete answers and I understand it's a mystery book but there comes a point where I at least want to know something.
I'm really digging this series. It's kept me interested (though they are very short which helps). I'm not a huge fan of the way she writes the sex scenes (and I like a good sex scene). I would describe them as cheap porn. There's really no finese there. But I've just started skipping over to them. The story is more interesting anyway. It's kept me guessing and it's surprised me a few times. Worth a read.
