Four women.

Four stories.

One passion…

to make you laugh!

Hey, People,

I’m Allison Jennette Jones, the ‘A’ in LMAO.

Come and join me on my journey to the Edge Control Tour. It’s about to be a sold-out show!

Don’t pile into those seats too fast, though, y’all. My story is full of more drama than the blogs can keep up with. If that’s your lane, then come on in and bring a glass of champagne for throwing. If it’s not, don’t say I didn’t warn you. There’s a protective plastic bag underneath your seat.

Being a boss in every way possible, I didn’t step onto the comedy scene for fortune or fame. I’d already accumulated both before my twenty-fifth birthday, and now, at the ripe old age of thirty, this new comedic endeavor was about something else.

Something new.

Something personal.

Something therapeutic.

Not many people feel comfortable speaking on their fears, but we all have them, no matter how strong we appear. I had a fear of losing myself in all the things I’d accomplished. And even more, I feared losing myself to the people I let in. It was sometimes difficult to weed out the good from the bad. I struggled with that the most when it came to romantic relationships, especially with my on-again-off-again boyfriend, Mario, who didn’t need to ride my coattail for fame since his professional basketball career provided plenty of popularity. I questioned many things about the man who’d had my heart since we were kids, but I never once questioned his love for me. His choices were questionable, but his heart was always there, even when I caught him with a half-naked stripper on his lap.

Anyway, I know it seems extreme to seek therapy on stage when I could just as easily sit on the sofa and binge-watch episodes of Martin. But extreme is my middle name. Everyone who knows me knows it, and my connection to the art of making people laugh is so natural it almost feels like it was passed down genetically. Given my vague family history, it could very well have been. There’s only one way to find out how this goes, and you’re already here, so you might as well stay!

Grab your tickets and enjoy this comedic exhibition of drama, hilarity, and maybe a few secrets.

Again, I’m Allison Jennette Jones, the ‘A’ in LMAO!

I had a feeling that Allison’s story would be different, and you did not disappoint. Me and my feelings were drug all over the damn place, and I’m still not sure how I feel about the outcome.

Poor Allison had gone through hell in her youth, and meeting Mario and his family was a Godsend. I loved how Mario cared for Allison (in the beginning) and wanted to do all he could to help her, as he knew she was struggling with her situation. As their friendship grew that relationship was rock solid, and I believed nothing could penetrate that bond. Hmmmm….

Mario pissed me off so bad, that he continually did ish just because he could, knowing how it would hurt Allison. Her good heart ass forgave him time and time again. 😤🤬 Better than me cause naw f that! I don’t want your damn apologies, I want changed behavior, and that was something he couldn’t seem to do. How you love this woman with your whole being, and exhibit all those fboy behaviors? Make it make sense Mario? Ughhh…… 👀

There were plenty of hilarious moments that had me laughing out loud and smiling as well. It was so nice to have the cameo from Pastor Fold too. He did not mince his words, and gave them counsel in the raw, just as he should have. 💪🏾

Now I love me a HEA, but not every character deserves one. I’m just not feeling Mario after all the ish he pulled, and do not feel he is deserving of my good sis. But what do I know. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Looking forward to Olivia bringing up the rear of this series. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

A second chance romance... Aaah, so lovely. If you told me that Allison would have to deal with the unthinkable from her bestie, I would have not believed you. The family stuff was vintage and the drama on par. I am not going to give spoilers, just know...this is an emotional story with a comedic component, and you will enjoy book 3.

I was really excited for this book simply because I enjoyed the first 2 books. What I got was not what I expected. My rating might've been higher had this book not been a part of the LMAO series and just a random stand-alone book. But then again, maybe not.

Allison didn't deserve any of what she got from her birth mother, Peaches, or her so-called boyfriend, Mario. From young, she had to deal with disappointment and heartbreak. Not sure how I was supposed to believe Mario loved her as much as he claimed he did, when all he did was take advantage of her love for him by doing things he knew would break her. She was such a strong character, and I was disappointed in the way she turned to mush at the sight of someone who didn't deserve her heart.

Allison

This book had me not knowing whether I wanted to laugh or cry when reading about Allison’s back story and her relationship with Mario. Allison overcame all the bs from her childhood and became a star. It was good to see the growth Mario experienced and growing into his grown man era to be the best partner he could be for Allison. These two were so cute together and I loved their friendship even when their relationship was on the rocks. This is a definite must read and a great addition to this series. I can’t wait to read about Olivia next.

ALLISON (LMAO book3)

Really didn't enjoy this one in the series. Allison's backstory being so sad, but I NEVER grew to like Mario. Yeah, getting 3 small children is not going to have me to come back or change my opinion about him. I felt their reconnecting was a downgrade for her, but I'm another kind of woman, and while friends maybe at some point, but NO way she should go into his current situation.

Back on Track

I was so excited to get a new book in this series. The first book was an absolute banger. Book two wasn’t my cup of tea, but I still wanted to stick with it. I didn’t expect to love Allison’s book as much as I did. There was so much packed into her story. There was drama, addiction, abandonment, cheating, puppy love, and lots of comedy. It sounds chaotic, but Scales made it work. Being a full-time man hater, I didn’t want to root for Mario. But he managed to be so lovable. His bond with Allison was so special. There was too much history there to not want to see them work it out. I enjoyed getting their backstory, but I felt like that part could’ve been shorter. I wanted more of their current drama. With so many elements thrown in, I was completely entertained by this book. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Trigger Warning (s)

Oh wow😮‍💨, another job well done Ms. Scales! …that was a lot of regressed anger & frustration for Allison to endure …triggers/turmoil/mixed emotions to navigate through. Unfortunately, I could relate to Allison's pain & trauma of witnessing a loved one’s struggles with substance abuse as a child. Nevertheless, “Allison (LMAO - Book 3) was a great read in spite of some the content/experiences …time & laughter heals most wounds. At least well enough for new material for the Edge Control Tour. However, who was the professional comedian? Both Allison & Mario’s banter was infectious. …Will the real comedian please stand up🤭⁉️

AlliCat and Super Mario

Wow!! Stories of infidelity are usually not my cup of tea, but SBS knows how to pull me in, lol. I thought "because I could" was one of the most honest and infuriating lines I've ever read... I really enjoyed Allison and Mario's back story. It definitely helped with understanding the characters. Although I wish more time was spent on their "current day" lives/events, I enjoyed this story. Appreciate you SBS!!

Capacity

Unconditional love without healthy boundaries provides gaps for heartbreak and disappointment. Forgiveness can be hard however when the person openly admits to fault, accepts responsibility, asked humbly for forgiveness, immediately changing behavior and actively rebuild trust healing can happen.

Book 3 was off the chains! That Allison was indeed a straight clown. I was laughing so hard. She was full of stories! Super Mario and Allison's bond was solid no matter how toxic it could be viewed! Mrs. Scales pen is 🔥!

Allison...

Allison is the A in LMAO series. Sabrina is crazy. The humor in the book was needed. There's a few heavy issues that were dealt with, and I appreciate the care and humor. I enjoyed seeing the good Pastor Fold.

aww Allison

What an adventure to go through her life’s story. It was sad but she prevailed. It’s an interesting story and worth the read. Looking at Mario with evil eyes though. Have to read this one to understand.

Happy Reading‼️

Got Ya

This was such an interesting story about love.
Allison and Mario loved each other hard, but they had trouble making it work for them.
Thanks for the great journey!

The story is beautifully messy, taking readers on a walk down memory lane that highlights the deep love Mario has had for Allison since the first time he laid eyes on her. But as soon as they step into that counseling session, the complexities of their relationship come to the forefront. My initial endearment towards Mario quickly faded as the reality of their situation set in. It’s a story that challenges the reader’s thoughts on cheating, “mistakes,” and forgiveness, leaving you with plenty to ponder long after you’ve turned the last page.

Sabrina is a genius at her craft, and this book is a testament to that. Its not a book for the faint of heart, but if you’re up for a story that’s messy, complicated, and enduring, this one is a must-read. Just be prepared for your emotions to be all over the place—you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll probably yell at the characters more than once.
